Lido Restaurant & Lounge

We went on a Tuesday and were some of the only people there, so service was on point. We did the chef's tasting menu, and everything was yummy. The fish basically melted in your mouth. The beet salad was a little funky, probably wouldn't order that again. But everything else- service, drink, main course, dessert, THE VIEW- was awesome. We live nearby, so we'll definitely be going back.

Went here for brunch for a Bachelorette party! It was beautiful inside and out. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. They have a three course brunch available, and it comes with bottomless mimosas! They have seating inside and out! It does get cold outside, so dress accordingly. We were fortunate enough to witness a beautiful proposal outside near the beach. I recommend making a reservation.

Super pretty outside (and cold) but they have heat lamps for you. They have a dog menu which was super fun - especially for a nicer restaurant like this, so my dog had a blast. Clam chowder was good and we liked the pasta and halibut.

Very attentive service, nice atmosphere and most of the food tasted great. Priced high , but worth it.

Every. Single. Thing. We had to eat here was fantastic! We ate there for brunch & dinner for most of our 5 night stay at the Dolphin Bay Resort. Service was prompt (in spite of the fact that we never had reservations - this is potentially because we arrived on a Tue. in Oct.). Not only was the food amazing but the servers were great, too!

This was such a lovely little date night spot. We haven’t gotten to eat here before, and it was worth the visit. The food was delicious. I got a white fish and my wife got a beet salad. They also had great bread for appetizers. Since we were celebrating our baby moon they also treated us to a crème brûlée!

We came back to Dolphin Bay & Lido. Their menu changed a lot! They kept some classics that were taken to the next level. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Welcomed as soon as you walk in. Mojitos are still the best! There are so many things to compliment. I'm adding adding pics from the ribs NOW versus before. They were good before, but fall of the bone and smokey this time. We ended up with two orders! You could peel the meat off the bone that's how tender they were (BBQ Fan). Bloody Mary mix that is OUT OF THIS WORLD (I have no idea who thought it was too spicy, but this is California)! I don't like hot without flavor. They make their own mix and you can tell. The bartender let me sip it just in case. I could drink it just to drink over ice. It's the best mix I have ever had. Plus, she was able to make it into a Michelada instead. Maybe that's why it was too spicy for some? Vodka has its own zing. They still have the Lido burger, but the Smash burger was delicious. Pecorino fries are always a must have and the eggs Benedict. I tried the brunch and was pleasantly surprised by the bread pudding. It was pumpkin (no nuts or raisins yay) with a caramel sauce at the bottom. Again, ended up with two of those. One at brunch and took one to go. It reminded me of English toffee sticky pudding (my favorites). and I didn't get to taste the bread pudding. I can definitely see a change in the menu as well as the quality of how things are prepared. The portions are large so it's so easy to get full. But everything I tasted and drank was stellar! The staff is amazing and super friendly and accommodating. They go above and beyond here. Even if you don't stay at DB, come check out the bar, happy hour, brunch and food. They have a lot to choose from. Oh, random .. I almost forgot! For the kiddos. Try the chicken nuggets. Not frozen! Crispy freshly made nuggets. 5 star even for your kiddos! I love this place! You have to stop by, trust me, they have the best bar tenders and an exquisite menu!

The food was delicious and the staff were over the top wonderful in the way they were attentive to us, from booking our reservation to serving our meal. It was a great experience. It's our new Christmas Eve tradition. This was our second Christmas Eve at Dolphin Bay.

We had an amazing experience at this restaurant. Reservations were made but we went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't needed. We ordered the oysters, crispy Brussels sprouts, lobster and shrimp bucatini, and the filet. For dessert we got the crème brûlée Everything was incredibly fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection. The Brussels sprouts had a great crisp to them, steak was cooked beautifully, the pasta was delicious and the sauce on it was amazing. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Crème brûlée is a favorite for me and I was not disappointed. I'd 100% come back here again even with the 3.5 hour drive! We were sat in the corner with a view however due to it being night we didn't see much, would love to come during a sunset one day!

FOOD: Came in for a yelp elite event for during happy hour. Did not expect much from a fancy looking place but everything we had was terrific. We had the seasonal oysters, fresh and clean tasting. The wagyu sliders that the server recommended instead of the crispy chicken sliders, glad we followed her recommendation because that meat was moist and seasoned perfectly. Great sauce to meat ratio. The burger that we shared was plenty for the both of us as well and the fries was crispy all around *che'f's kiss* Can't wait to try the other things served at this place. SERVICE: It was about to be happy hour so our server got busy but still made sure to check up on us and everything. She was a sweetheart. I forgot her name but she was great! All the servers/bussers were prompt with picking up our plates and refilling our waters. AMBIANCE: We were seated quickly even without a reservation but it was early and happy hour time. They were very sweet with letting us know where everything is and such. There was outdoor and indoor seating. The sun was getting close to setting so outdoor seating was ideal. Beautiful views although depending where you sit the sun might hit you right in the eyes so choose wisely lol. Not too loud and a very clean and organized dining area. Can be very romantic and intimate during dinner. Highly recommend this place and I will definitely be going back to try brunch! Beautiful views all around that you can walk around after or before eating. Wonderful staff as far as this visit. Hopefully it stays consistent. TIP: I would do a reservation next time so it makes it easier for the servers and staff.

Once again lido hits it out of the park , not only did these lovely people give up their own time with family to serve us , they made a night to remember. From the turkey dinner to the best pumpkin pie I've ever tasted . Such a beautiful setting , thanks lido for making our night easy and fun .

Went on Sunday 7/29 for early breakfast brunch with some girlfriends. The service was great, constantly being checked up on making sure food was good and coffee was constantly refilled too! Reservation was at 930 so coffee was much needed. Location was beautiful and by 1030 you had the most beautiful views. Great location! Oh and all of our food was delicious, not pictured is the clam chowder which was one of the best I have ever had. Definitely a good spot to checkout if your in the area

My family and I were staying at the Dolphin Bay Resort, and the Lido Restaurant is associated with the hotel. But they are open to the public, so you don't have to be a guest to eat here. We ate at Lido on three separate occasions, and each time was an enjoyable, relaxing experience. On our first day, after checking in at the resort, we made reservations for dinner. I ordered the Salmon and a Margarita on the rocks. My dad had Crab Cakes, my sister also got Salmon while my brother-in-law got Halibut with a side of Crab Cakes. Freshly baked rolls came with our dinners. My only disappointment, was, that my salmon was undercooked in the thick part of the fish. I was unable to finish my meal and decided not to make a big deal about sending it back. Other than that, our food was delicious and a great start to our first day of vacation. The next day, we returned to partake in their brunch special out on the patio. I ordered their special which consisted of three choices for the price of $55.00. For starters I got a breakfast parfait and bottomless mimosas with orange juice to add, my Eggs Benedict came next, followed by a Chocolate Torte. My brother-in law ordered the special of Crab Cakes, Lobster Roll and Bread pudding. My sister got the Lobster Roll, with sides of fruit and a Gluten Free bun. My dad ordered his usual favorites of Two Eggs over medium a side of sausage, and coffee. This was one of my favorite brunches I have had in a long time! On our final day of vacation, we returned for an early breakfast. I ordered the Avocado Toast and side of Potatoes, along with a Mimosa. My sister also had the Avocado Toast on a Gluten Free bun and a Root Elixer. My Brother-in-Law ordered the two eggs plate and dad got his usual two eggs with sausage and coffee. We all agreed that the ambiance, food and service was excellent each time. And our cuisine selections as a whole, added to a definite, positive experience to our stay.

Update to the review, Robin, the director of food and beverage reached out within an hour and apologized for the less than stellar experience we had with the food and offered to make it right. I am very impressed with that level of customer service which is rare these days. It sounds like they have evolved since I was here last year and because of their level of care for the customer experience, I look forward to giving them another shot during one of my semi-annual visits to the Central Coast for a 5-star food experience to match that 5-star customer service they clearly have in place. Beautiful view and ambiance would make this a great spot for Happy Hour but for dinner, I'd rather go to Oyster Loft. We ordered two dishes that we normally get at Oyster Loft and unfortunately, they both fell flat in comparison. Although the salmon was nicely cooked, the mashed potatoes and risotto that served as a bed for my halibut was unfortunately bland. At $45 for the halibut dish, it was unseasoned and lackluster. The summer beet salad with watermelon, beets, and goat cheese was our favorite of the evening which is why I think happy hour may be the way to go if you want to enjoy the ambiance.

I would love to give this place more stars but our dinner experience just didn't work out for us. Dinner started out well with drinks and kids food was served promptly. With the nice view, sitting in the patio, we were content relaxing with our drinks to watch the sunset behind us. Unfortunately our patience slowly simmered when our entrees took 45 minutes to come out and one of the incorrect dishes. We patiently waited longer to get served the right entree we ordered. Server was apologetic but when I asked the manager what the delay was, he didn't have an answer. The whole experience affected our ability to enjoy the food. After 2 hours later, we asked to take our deserts to go. Luckily our kids were great and patient even though they were exhausted. Believe it or not, they also gave us the wrong desert item as well in our to go containers. Not sure what we missed, but definitely was not our night at this restaurant.

Went for an early dinner around 4:30pm and had our pick of where we sat. Chose the inside because there was a wedding going on outside. Had a delicious meal with a wedge salad, Brussels sprouts, lamb shank, and filet mignon. Sipped an old fashion along the way, and was surprised by a nice anniversary dessert on the house. Was even able to pay with some gift cards, so it made for an extra fun night. We're going to come back for sure!

Thanksgiving dinner here was amazing. The view was beautiful from our seating and the service washeyind excellent. Worth the price.

Picturesque coastal backdrop. Rugged cliffs meet the sparkling ocean. Clear blue waters lap gently at the rocky shorelines. Lush manicured greenery parallel the vibrant wildflowers that blanket the hills. It's a serene and perfect escape harmonizing land and sea. It's both peaceful and beautiful, but also open and friendly for kids and families. The food is fine. Better than standard hotel restaurant fare. But the draw to Lido is mostly in the view and the walk. Service was extremely attentive and quick to help.

Had dinner here last night. Everything was exceptionally Great. It all started with the service which was Outstanding and they will not let you run out of rolls. We started with the Crispy Brussel Sprouts appetizer. Then came our main course. My wife had the Halibut with puréed Butternut Squash. I had the Clam Chowder which is some of the best I have had. And I am a chowder connoisseur. Everything was Stupendous. Our waitress Selana was extremely nice and on her game. The manager Robin was very pleasant too. We were able to get seated outside with a heater for a beautiful sunset. What a great place with a Great team of players I would Highly Recommend this place.

As usual, the food was amazing. We've been vacationing at Dolphin Bay a few times and Lido has some great dishes, specifically their bolognese pasta and oysters. The drinks are made well and the patio dining is always a beautiful view. We've always had exceptional service while staying here, but last night was a bit of a miss with our server. Management, however, handled it immediately when I brought up the poor attitude and snarky responses from the server, especially when she walked away in the middle of our drink order. She was clearly overwhelmed, but snapping at customers and your fellow colleagues (especially calling one of the bussers/food runners "the boy") is not indicative of the usual level of attentive service we've had prior. Kudos for management handling it swiftly and professionally.

Love the Lido. Great Happy Hour! Whether you want a wonderful meal for a special occasion or just want a Happy Hour with a great view ( inside and patio seating)...Lido is an upscale restaurant at the best hotel ( Dolphin Bay) on the central coast. The service is excellent and friendly.

Sitting outside with green grass the only thing between your table overlooking the shimmering ocean below, is rejuvenating for your soul! That's what breakfast and lunch are like before you ever get to the menu. There are a few misses on the menu, but it's exceptional and you're treated like an adult allowed to customize here and there. Vermouth & Lemon Salmon - amazing. Rib Eye or Filet w/ French Fries - amazing. Crispy Chicken or Smashburger Sandwiches - amazing. Wondering about the misses? You can get caviar, but it's served with potato chips instead of blinis - even with an open mind this is not enjoyable. No shredded hash browns - what a miss, you know they could do a high quality shredded hash brown. The menu is locked it does not rotate, so if you're expecting a seasonal menu using the freshest local ingredients you better seek Ember in AG instead for your fix. This place is going to only get better with the new chef starting soon. When you start pairing the menu, the view, the location, the service together you're very happy. But, the wine and cocktails will put you over the moon if you are so inclined. Don't skip trying their flatliner using the Italian espresso machine - some would argue it exceeds Giuseppe's and Koberl At Blue's flatliners and I would agree wholeheartedly - they can even make it with decaf espresso. The local wine selection is outstanding and expansive - so much fun. Even the barrel-aged black Manhattan (I often add a bit of sweet vermouth) is just perfect with the big rock of ice on a beautiful day outside. Enjoy something special!!

Their champagne Mimosa Brunch can not be beat with their continuous champagne pour and 3 course meal for $60 per person. Their lobster and shrimp roll on a brioche bun is exquisite. Charity was our server, and she's the nicest and most attentive server we've had so far. Great job, Charity. Thanks!

Chef's menu for January is a very good deal. Great food and service. Plus a fantastic sunset if you time it right.

I was here for Sunday brunch with a group of 10 women and we had an awesome time! I had the Niçoise salad which had a very generous portion of seared tuna. Our server (whose name I didn't get, unfortunately) was so friendly and attentive, and he gave us chocolate desserts to share just because we were having a special occasion! Everyone enjoyed their food, from eggs Benedict to omelets to bagels and salmon. The ambience is peaceful and the view amazing. Definitely recommend!

This was my first time visiting the restaurant and my family and I had a great time. We had Thanksgiving dinner here last night, and our food and drinks were very good, especially the chocolate hazelnut dessert. Our server Russell was very attentive and made sure we had everything we wanted. He had such a great attitude and the restaurant was very clean.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the glazed salmon with a glass of their Prosecco. For dessert I had the crème brûlée. I sat outside on the patio which had a beautiful view and ambiance. The staff was exceptional. They were very attentive and accommodating for my wheelchair needs. I also noticed them making sure other patrons and their children were comfortable by moving heaters when needed. They were patience and didn't mind that I sat for quite some time as a solo patron and read while I ate. I would highly recommend as they are a good fit for couples, families and parties. (even pets) They have an access elevator for wheelchairs and the staff was very kind in moving heaters out of the way so i could maneuver to my table.

This place has Great food, great views, great service! They make you feel so welcome Can't wait to go back!

We showed up to this restaurant for breakfast about 30 min early. We didn't know their hours. With two young kiddos in hand. The staff at this restaurant were so incredibly kind and let us sit down early! They got us drinks and turned on the heater and were so understanding and flexible and were not rude at all about us being there before it opened. Once it opened officially, we got the most amazing waitress! Charity! Super professional, friendly, knowledgeable and amazing! We couldn't have started our day off any better! Not to mention , their food was delicious and 10x better than the restaurant next door (which is were we were actually staying, but don't tell ) ! Overall. 5 star rating on all counts for this gem. Can't wait to go back!

This started as a 5 star review and isn't a 3 because my husband's food and the app were really good and the dessert we got for free my husband loved. I ordered the scallops... simple dish! My husband got the ribeye which is tricky and was made great. My scallops were juicy with a great sear, but all the sides were at the warmest room temp with some of the butternut pieces much colder. I took 2 bites from 1 of my 3 scallops before my husband complained for me. I mentioned the scallops were perfectly cooked, but the rest wasn't. Our waitress took my dish away and about 8-10 mins passed while I nibbled in my husband's food and the app we didn't finish. I got what I thought was a new dish but to my surprise it was new (or reheated) sides with my original scallops which were now just warm and not juicy. Sorry, but I do not believe if you take my plate because it wasn't done right that you should bring it back with my original protein!!! Either you keep them warm which will dry it out or you just leave it and it will get cold, neither are good!!! I said nothing because it's embarrassing to me so I just didn't eat any of it, asked for a box and left with a free dessert, mind you I don't eat desserts so my husband benefited. Keep in mind, it was who seemed to be the MANAGER that brought my plate back to me so she knew because the plate had 2 big scallops and 1 half scallop hidden under sides. I'm disappointed knowing these plates were not cheap! I would not go back, waitress was friendly and nice but my experience was not great. Sad Edit 11/18/23 I have moved this review up to a 5 star review because Robin, the Manager that helped last night, took the time to call us to apologize today after reading my review as well as reached out via Messenger. I very much appreciate the effort to make things right with me including the credit for the dish. It's this level of concern for customer experience that is a delight to see and has made my experience a 5 star one. Thank you Robin, this made my day and will visit again on our next trip to Pismo!

Selena! You were an incredible waitress! There wasn't a single item you recommended that was bad! You nailed the dinner, drinks and dessert. It was sorcery. You were easy to talk to and even after watching a large group be difficult, you handled them flawlessly! My wife and I want to thank you for the amazing experience you gave us for our 15th anniversary. We will never forget it! To the chefs and bartenders, outstanding. Well done! It was delicious food and amazing drinks!

We love the Lido. We've been coming here for years and love the location and resort atmosphere. We've seen it through lots of seasons as far as food goes, but the new menu with the summer salads was delicious! The wedge! The lobster salad- so fresh and flavorful! We'll be back for those! Such a fun happy hour spot too- we always love the homemade guac and homemade pico!!! Selena took great care of us. She made amazing recommendations and looked after us with kindness, even tho she was super busy. It was such a nice evening! Our only complaint is that our favorite drink has a new recipe sadly. The midnight bourbon is no longer made with coffee ice cubes which makes a HUGE difference in flavor. We miss it so much. We used to bring all out of town guest just to try the drink bc it's unforgettable with those "coffee-cubes". The regular ice cubes just don't even come close. Please consider bringing that back. We'll be there every week for a night cap, if you do ;) we love it!

We came here for my birthday, and it was the perfect place to celebrate, beautiful ocean views, and the staff was fantastic. I really wanted the carbonara they used to have on the menu, and the waitress was such a gem and went back and asked the chefs if they could make it for me and they did 10 out of 10 service how incredible.

Came in for brunch with the girls on a rainy day 2 of us got the champagne brunch which includes bottomless mimosas with your choice of juice and you chose 1 item front the starters/sea, plates, and dessert menu for $50! Got to try a little of everything! In order to get to the restaurant I valeted the car and walked down stairs, we sat inside because it was raining but they do have a huge patio for those wamer and sunny days! Stopped off at the bar while waiting for the rest of the girls to arrive started by bottomless mimosas where you're given your choice of juice I picked ! Starters were raw oysters! Chilled on the half shell (not pictured) with horseradish, lime and Tabasco. The crab cakes weren't lacking on the crab and the mango salsa had a good kick but was very refreshing. I ordered the bagel and lox - with cream cheese, capers, and red onions. Huge serving and had plenty left over. Dessert was creme brûlée with a cookie and a chocolate cake.

Lido is always excellent but we have never been for dinner!!! We actually went for drinks but could not resist the dinner menu!! The pasta was the best I've ever had and burrata & prosciutto was delish with strawberries. As always the service her is consistently amazing!! I'll never stop coming here!!!

We came for my daughter's 21st bday and it was a perfect place! Drinks were fun and delicious, apps were great (tuna tartar, oysters and crab cakes). Service was wonderful (can't remember his name). He was attentive and timely with all courses. We sat outside and the patio was warmed by heaters. The ambiance was classy and the perfect spot for a special celebration. Halibut, scallops, clam chowder and pasta were all outstanding. Bananas foster, chocolate cake and crème brûlée were all delicious!

This was the best brunch we have ever had. The food was phenomenal, the level of service was outstanding, and the dining room was open and beautiful. We will certainly be back to the Lido.

Not terrible. But not worth the price imo. Food was mediocre. Ribs were primarily fat, fries came out cold, so it was disappointing. Drinks were unbalanced and nothing special. They were missing something. Server was cheery and pleasant, just spacey Usually not as disappointing as this as this visit was. I'm hoping I just came here on an off day.

By far the best eggs benedict in California. Not kidding. Best in almost a decade for me. The service was the best too. Her name was Charity. I did snoop at what others were eating and it all looked superb. OMG I just noticed that all the reviews are five star. I am not alone. The rooms are fantastic for those who are visiting there is a 20% discount for locals but you have to ask for it when ordering. The sign says valet parking but I have not seen anyone in the three times I have visited. There is plenty of non-valet parking around the side. With a view of the distant ocean a backdrop of the scene, you can't loose.

We came to Lido on a Thursday evening to celebrate my birthday. The entrance is through the Dolphin Bay Hotel and there is tip only valet parking. We had a reservation and were seated immediately although they were not very busy. Our waitress was extremely helpful with giving us suggestions on drink and dinner orders. They brought out fresh bread to start which was delicious, and our entrees were great. Three out of the four of us ordered the filet and it was wonderful. They even brought out a special birthday treat of a slice of cheesecake and it was truly the best cheesecake I have ever had. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. We will absolutely be returning in the future!

We were looking for a local nice restaurant to go to for dinner. We have skipped Lidos for the past years do to a bad Thanksgiving experience. I recently read a good review on the restaurant, so thought we'd give it a chance. Glad we did. Everything was great. Vallet, hostess, bartender were very friendly and professionally dressed. Then our waitress really made our night. She had great recommendations for drinks and food. She surprised us with an early Anniversary dessert too! Thank you Celena! You are great and so were the bus boys!

This was our first time at this restaurant. Pismo is known to be pretty laid back and chill everywhere you go. We wanted a quiet romantic dinner by the water to celebrate a friend's birthday and this place delivered exactly that! We were seated on the patio. I was worried I'd be too cold, but our waitress put an outdoor heater right next to me and it was perfect! I ordered the halibut on herb risotto and it was very delicious. Every component of dinner went better than the last. I highly recommend this place to people who are looking for an upscale dining experience to celebrate special occasions in the area.

OK - first, the food was good. We had the bolognese and the smash burger. The pasta in the bolognese was cooked very well. Just al dente. The sauce was great too. A bit tangy and not too much. The burger was good. It's big. It wasn't obvious that it's two patties. The fries were pretty good as well. They had almost TOO much garlic on them. The reason this review gets three stars has almost nothing to do with the food. The one food-related reason is the bolognese was a very small portion. For being on the dinner menu and for the cost of it, I'd expect a bit more. The menu, though, really is the issue. We sat outside and the waitress gave us the dinner menu. We had just popped in because our other dinner plans fell through. So, we were right at the time they start serving dinner. We'd seen online that they had some simpler selections, though, so we asked for the bar menu. The waitress reluctantly gave it too us since we weren't at the bar; we were outside. I just got that feeling that she was like, oh, you're one of those people. We did, however, order the bolognese off the dinner menu and the burger off the bar menu. So, don't let them tell you that you can't do that. The other reason this loses a star is because of the misleading happy hour. It's called, "Sunset Happy Hour" but it's only from 2pm to 5pm. I bet that's only at sunset for about one month out of the year. Come on. Who ends happy hour at 5pm? Or, go ahead and end it at 5pm, but, don't call it "Sunset Happy Hour". Again, the food was good but the dinner menu is WAY overpriced. Order off the bar menu. Good food and the prices are more reasonable for what you get.

Great service, delicious brunch menu and phenomenal view. Anywhere on the grounds is picturesque. We always enjoy The Dolphin Bay Resort.

We randomly decided that I needed to try caviar for once in my life and we ended up at Lido. James was our server and the night became so much more than just the food, which was divine in its own right. The service was top notch, the scenery was incredible, even the valet services was perfect. I do not spend my life over complimenting but James came through huge and the rest of Lidos staff followed in suit, just a super night out of nowhere...

Our time at Lido was amazing! Christian was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience for my fiancés birthday. The food and drinks was amazing and the service was even better.

Celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday morning with brunch at Lido. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend the crabcake appetizer. We also enjoyed the lobster roll, burger, and crab Benedict. Our server, Jasmine, was an absolute sweetheart and made everything even better. She truly made our daughter feel special on her special day. Sit outside if the weather allows...the view of the ocean is amazing!

We had dinner for my wife's birthday on the patio. It is a beautiful place to set by the ocean and have an excellent dinner. We have always had excellent service here. My wife had the salmon that was done perfectly. I had the filet of beef that was also excellent. We had excellent cocktails to begin, and a glass of wine. The management coop a free desert.The prices are a little steep, but it was a s[pecia; evening.

This is the 2nd time we ve been to Lido. We sat at the bar this time and the bartender Mike was amazing. They were super busy but we were fascinated watching him make different drinks and have them served to customers in no time at all. We ordered the burger and fries and didnt have to wait long at all. Delish! We will definitely be back.
