We loved the restaurant, I got an iced coffee and banana pancakes, the coffee was great, the pancakes were not too sweet and the raspberries were really good! My girlfriend really liked her shakshuka from fresh tomatoes, I reccommend this place a lot!!!

the atmosphere is nice, the neighbourhood is nice, the service is ok (I think most of the staff speaks English) but the egg Benedict I ordered was not an egg Benedict. It was a bread with cold guacamole, the egg had a hard yolk and no hollandaise sauce. Very strange combination and the taste was not good. The prices are good.

The day i visited the whole place was run by girls and it felt so special hahah. I tried the iced chai latte and the shakshouka, super yummy.

Big fan of the shakshuka and the location is really nice, quiet but lively street. I prefer sitting outside here, because the spot is so cute. Also fan of the iced tea!

Liebling was the first cafe we visited during our stay in Vienna because it was recommended as one of the "must try" breakfasts. As you enter you will realize that is a special furnished cafe with lots of different furniture which has an interest. However, the restrooms were very dirty and the locks didn't work. We were late getting our order and late being served on a Monday morning which it's not a very busy day and hour. We ordered shakshuka which I realized it was the no.1 dish and the egg benedicts with spinach and pieces of bacon. The portion was big enough but without taste. For the benedict eggs, the spinach covered the flavor of the dish and the bacon was like didn't exist in the dish. Shakshuka was just okay. The cappuccinos we ordered didn't have any strong flavor and the mugs had dirt on them. Generally we were not thrilled about the place we felt like the photos in Google are a little bit misleading and we don't know why is in the "must" of Vienna.

Ingredients not fresh, bread was hard, greens were wilted with some brown stains that i had to remove, sweet jam overpowering everything otherwise had no taste. Found plastic in the food but was didn’t have energy and time to argue because. For a 10€ sandwich it should have been a lot lot more! Service was ok, toilets were dirty, door didn’t lock, there was no soap.

Beware of the excruciatingly long wait times—I’m still guessing whether the kitchen’s capacity just couldn’t handle the number of orders or if the waiter misplaced our order. Visit only if you’ve eaten beforehand (to survive the wait) and if you’re seeking an authentic snobby hipster café experience

Typical hip cafe in the 7th district. Good Food, good music, nice vintage vibe and friendly people surrounding you. Edit: Would be nice, if they use real crispy bacon instead of the dried, salty cubes.

Yelp
The food here is delicious. We had a great breakfast and there was something for everyone. Outdoor seating and it was a beautiful day. The service however was terrible, either to many people to handle and understaffed or just not friendly. We waited for our table to be cleaned and to even be given menus. Outside of that, food was great. Stop by when not busy and you'll probably have a great experience. This is a restaurant and full bar

Yelp
I adore Liebling - not just for its name, but also its Spritzers! Quick German lesson: 'Liebling' is about as close as German comes to the English word 'darling.' The interior of this place looks like a mish-mash of furniture bought from random flea markets and secondhand stores; each chair and table is different from the others. The wall that looks like it's been scratched away and chairs stuck on the walls all add to Liebling's edgy charm. It's so very easy to overlook Liebling during the day as it's tucked away on a small side street off of much busier Mariahilferstrasse. But don't be fooled: it fills up quickly come night time and especially on Fridays and Saturdays. During the warmer months, they have a little parklet set up right outside for drinking al fresco. When I say they fill up quickly, they truly do! This holds especially true in December. What I love about Liebling are their Spritzers. A spritzer is basically an alcoholic drink made of white wine and sparkling mineral water. It is such an Austrian thing and it's one of my favourite things about living in Vienna! It is the perfect thirst-quencher in the summer and the perfect thing to order again and again when hanging out with friends. It's easy to order one after another when it's just SO good. Liebling has a wide array of different spritzers, at least 10 different ones! Each one is between €3-4. While they have the classically traditional G'spritzter (White Wine Spritzer), which I find no fault in, my favourite has to be the Rosenspritzer (Rose Spritzer). It's a beautiful drink laden with rose petals for an extra fancy touch. Other spritzers they have include: ginger, blood orange and thyme, red grapefruit and basil, violet flowers, rhubarb, and more! I love all the ones I've tried here. If only spritzers were more of a thing here in SoCal. These are my favourite things to drink when I just wanna chill with friends and don't want to get a hangover. I also like to think that I'm getting much-needed hydration from the mineral water in each and every spritzer. Built-in hydration, for the win! One thing I dislike about Liebling is how utterly smokey it is in the bar. It is Europe after all and bars in large part allow smoking all over Vienna. There are only a few bars that are non-smoking, unfortunately. So, expect to smell cigarette smoke the entire time you're in here. During the day, they serve brunch/breakfast foods but I myself have never gone here for food. I went strictly for the noteworthy spritzers!

Yelp
Visited Liebling upon recommendation from a local hostel; however, the cafe was a disappointment for my first meal in Vienna. My friends and I arrived a little past 12:30pm on a Saturday. The interior of the cafe wasn't huge - it was segregated into smokers' and non-smokers' lounge and had a bohemian feel. After seating ourselves, our server came with 2 menus for our party of 4, so I waited for her to return and ask for 2 more menus. Yet, she never returned and I went up to the cashier for the menus instead. In the next 45 minutes or so, I walked up to the cashier twice informing our server we're ready to order, but no one ever came. In the end, I placed the orders myself for my friends at the cashier, and then and only then, did she bring tap water to our table after another 20 minute wait. Food-wise, we all got the omelet with grilled vegetables or bacon. The omelet itself was average. It wasn't great, but wasn't terrible either - albeit lacking some flavoring (we all salted our dishes). The main downside to the food was that I found a strand of blonde hair in my omelet, and my friend found one in her cup. Since my hair is black, I negated the possibility of the hair being mine. Reading other reviews, it seems like a lot of people got their vegan dishes. Perhaps those are better, but I personally wouldn't recommended the omelet. Other than that, the bread that came with the omelet and my double shot espresso were decent. Lastly, when we settled our bill, we were disappointed once again when the cashier gave us unnecessarily small change. A friend of mine was expecting a €1 change, but instead, got a combination of 1, 2, 5, 20 cents that totaled €1. After the cashier denied having any €1 coins, she gave one to my next friend when she settled her bill. Overall, I do not recommend Liebling. The service was lacking and the food was average, with questionable hygiene. Perhaps their vegan dishes might be better, but I will not return to this cafe if I'm ever visiting Vienna again.

Yelp
This place is great: good music and vibe. I saw some comments on speed of service but both our Cappuccinos and food came very quickly. The design of the place is quirky in best sense. The food is basic as the there is no full kitchen but they seem to do quite well with little space and equipment.

Yelp
My love; lots of spritzers! A spritzer is one of Austria's favorite drinks; white wine with soda or mineral water. Liebling gives you a choice of spritzers with a twist! Ginger, Aperol (another local favourite), lemon grass, rose, violet and many more! Of course Liebling is a nice place to come for any kind of drink; we ended up here as there was significantly less smoking inside than there was in the neighbouring bars.

Yelp
Liebling makes a great first impression- it's relatively busy, it's stylish, waitresses are friendly. It made a great first impression on me, but throughout the course of my meal there, everything went downhill. The service was excruciatingly slow. While the waitress asked us for our drink orders right away, the drinks didn't come until after our food came. I had to ask three times about water. Additionally, my table tried to place our order three times, only to be acknowledged then forgotten. In the end, we went up to the counter and placed our orders directly. I've heard that terrible service equates to good food, but unfortunately that was not the case. My omelette was watery, mushy, and bland. On top of that, my table found a few stray hairs floating around in our food and drinks. Would've returned our food had it not taken over half an hour to come, and we did not want to wait for another half hour. What's more? This restaurant gives change in PENNIES. When they could've easily returned change with a €1 coin, they instead chose to give 20 coins in varying denominations. When asked to see if they had other coins; they said no. My next friend paid and needed €2 in change. She miraculously got a €1 coin and another €1 worth of change. Hmm suspicious.. I'm definitely not coming back, but the unfortunate thing is that they probably can identify tourists and intentionally provide them with subpar service since they know we're usually only in town for a few days. Keep this in mind should you choose to visit!

Yelp
It's really hard to spot this place from the street. Pay attention to the house number. Nice cozy space, lovely personnel. I was here for breakfast, had an omelette with goat cheese and coffee. Omelette was served on the pan with delicious bread, was soft, tasty and cooked to perfection. Coffee was just obvious, but not bad, though. The only one issue with this place is smell of smoke in non-smokers area, that is strong enough to bother me.

Yelp
Divided honestly between loving this place and hating it. Hence the three stars Why love: Decor: very bohemian, great use of items other people may otherwise have just trashed. Food: Everyone knows. Their breakfast is awesome. There are vegan options, which are filling, fresh and healthy. Avocado salad with pico de gallo, humus and bulgar. Yum Why hate: Hours of service: Gees, who closes the kitchen for exactly one hour in middle of the day (can't remember if its 15:00 or 16:00), especially with no warning. If you want to order something extra or new 5 minutes after, too bad. Smokey: Smokey, smokey, smokey Bathroom: Good luck trying to orient yourself in a box that could for all pratical reasons be a coffin.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Every table and chair was individually picked from a thrift shop something. The food was amazing. The size was not too big and not too little. They have a smokers and non-smokers lounge and a terrace, which is open in accordance with the weather.

Yelp
Super cute and I love the vintage feeling you get from the furniture, but boy does it smell like smoke. There is no door between the non-smoking and smoking area. Apologies, but that's a no go/dealbreaker for me.

Yelp
My favorite place I got to try in Vienna on my most recent trip. It had the perfect noise level and really great, comfortable seating with everyone kind of mingling and feeling really local. I liked it a lot, and its location is also super easy to find. I have a delightful cappucino and a great chat with long-missed friends. I would definitely go back to try more stuff on their menu next time.

Yelp
Cute arty place. Quiet and that was a pleasure. No smoking on the front room so that was great! VEGANS: the vagan plate was my favorite! I ll try to go again for it! The Viennese plate is good. Not to go crazy for but good. 4 stars and not 5 because the ham wasn't the best I ve he and the croissant either. Go get it !

Yelp
Great atmosphere! The place looks really alternative and modern. There are huge tables at the back which are always crowded. In the front there are little tables which are perfect to have a drink and little talk. Everytime I go to the bathroom I end up saving dates to all kind of events and concerts that I see on posters on the walls and doors.

Yelp
The place is lovely just like its name. They have ruined walls and random old furnitures inside. They have breakfast until 16.00 (never tried it) and they have a small selection of main dishes after 16.30. I don't know why there is a half an hour break in between. I have been there several times, when it is crowded the waitresses are totally lost. The last time when I was there the waitress came so late and took our orders and said in a unfriendly way that the orders can take a while because of their dishwasher is broken. Afterall we didn't wait so long, but our drinks came in a smaller cups than usual. We found this quite unfair. Unfriendly Viennese waitresses are now outdated, but I think this place has a good selection of unfriendly waitresses! These are the reasons why I give 3 stars to there. If you happen to go there and don't mind the unfriendliness, you should try their Rosenspritzer though!

Yelp
Nice little cafe with a special interior (seems like they got I from the junkyard). The coffee was good and they have drinks like club mate, Makava iced tea and so on. All in all very good!

Julia P.

Yelp
Great place with nice living room flair for breakfast (until 16.00) or drinks at night. They have a lot of vegan options and almond milk for coffee, which is quite rare to find. Enjoy long chats out with friends but still feel cosy just like at home.
