From the moment we arrived Villa Amed Bali felt like home. Warm greeting by the owner and staff. After a long drive and bumpy roads at times, it was a beautiful serene place. |Little touches of the soft lighting, placement of tables and chairs in the grounds made it feel so special ( it was my 60th birthday treat) I chose this place for the reviews regarding slipping into the ocean to snorkel and seeing an array of colourful fish. This did not disappoint.I SAW A HUGE TURTLE 🙏🏽as well as the amazing fish not far off shore. Villa Amed is in rural untouched Bali. You will not find the mod cons of down south but the hospitality and the food will not disappoint. Little local wurung such as omang-omang ( hermit crab) was delicious fresh and right on the beach. Head to the beach and turn right. About 10 fishing boats up. Lean beach is a seaside rural community built on fishing. They leave and return at all hours of the day and night. We enjoyed listening and watching the activity ( yes they can be quite loud at times) but loved it nevertheless . We had one night in a cottage then moved into the big villa right on the beach when more family arrived. This has a kitchen and fridge which the cottages do not have ( would be great if the cottage has a fridge.Eating at the restaurant was a great option if you didn’t want to venture too far. Villa Amed offered transport into main town of Amed about 15 mins in the car. They came and collected us when we were done. Loved our 5 nights up there and would certainly recommend and return

Life in Amed looked lovely on photos and reviews but it was better. The vibe was friendly and welcoming, the food healthy and fresh and pretty garden. The room had a large water dispenser ( a gripe of mine is often hotels give tiny water bottles) . Staff we helpful but not pushy. We got a scooter to explore snorkling spots and local sights and it was a great start to our Indonesian adventure. House reef good for snorkling.

Life in Amed is a special property with very kind and helpful staff. Our villa was right near the beach and it was neat to hear and see the early morning fishermen. Keep this in mind if you would rather quiet, there are villas further back. The grounds are so well maintained and the pool is beautiful and deep. We enjoyed a yoga class and many good meals. The fish and satay were cooked better than anywhere we have eaten so far in Bali! We didn’t have transportation and they organized rides whenever we needed. A great place in Amed!

We stayed at Life at Amed and absolutely loved our time there. All of the staff members were incredibly kind, positive, and helpful. There was outstanding snorkeling right out the door, and the pool and its surrounding vegetation was beautiful. Our bungalow was very tastefully decorated and very cute and comfortable. Finally, our breakfast and other meals were very tasty.

This is the most amazing hotel, we stayed in a cottage with our two children, the accommodation is beautiful and very ‘Balinese’, the staff so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant done the best food we have had anywhere in the world and is very reasonably priced, the snorkling was great, thousands of fish and we even swam with some turtles. Don’t expect a tourist hotspot as this is a fishing village at heart, but when you walk through the door to this resort, it really is like being in paradise!

Walking into Life in Amed, is like walking into paradise. The garden and pool area is picturesque. The property and gardens are well maintained. We stayed in a cottage and then moved to a 2 bedroom villa. The cottage is clean and cosy, with pool views. I love the villa, it is so spacious and beautifully presented. It has ocean views and a private garden.|The staff are friendly and helpful. We dined at the restaurant on several occasions. The food is delicious and healthy.|I love the 2 friendly house cats.|There is an amazing spot to snorkel, from the beach near the hotel. My husband and I were surprised by the amount of coral and marine life at this location. It is spectacular, with very few people snorkelling. I noticed a sign at Lipah Beach which read "the best snorkelling spot", I'd have to disagree. The best snorkelling spot is near Life in Amed, by far!

Had a wonderful time staying Life in Amed. Rooms were cosy and have a very cute outdoor shower. No need to go far for Snorkelling, walk 20m to the beach and snorkel on the reef, we saw lots of different fish and a sting ray. Food at the restaurant was delicious. Gede, Nyoman and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome and at home. We plan to visit again.

Life in Amed was one of the highlights to our recent trip to Bali. What a treasure! Amazing location right on the beach (watch the fishing boats come in), stunning restaurant, great yoga shala with morning classes and excellent service. Highly recommended.
