10th of November 2025 for one night and two days. This was an excellent 2nd stay. With Wonderful staff, it would not be fair to pick one out in particular. The food, excepting the very tasteless (expensive) soup, was 5* i could not fault it. Presented beautifully. Servers, were very well presented and knowledgeable. The customer service was top notch the in the whole of the Hotel and Spa. The room was immaculate in both cleanliness and furnishings, and the bed was as good as I sleep on at home ( Orthopaedic). The shower was hot, and powerful with a good quality shower gel and Shampoo. View of the beautiful sunken garden is a stunning way to wake up. The tea bags are Twinnings, so you can also have a good cup of tea! Room; Mulberry number 81 it has two good sized single beds, a huge tv and a very large walk in shower. Loved it! Many thanks Carol Swaine

Enjoyed a twilight package with friends. Staff attentive. Quite busy with regulars in the spa. Kept clean and tidy. Disabled parking out the front. Quite dark outside from carpark to spa. Bar area looked nice decorated for Christmas. Changing rooms could have better accommodating facilities for stoma users or those less abled.

This is the first time I have been to a spa place. Staff were professional. I wasn't told by my sister though they took £100 pounds off me for a holding fee. For having extras throughout our stay £50 per person..We didn't use this service Lucky I managed to afford this, The place has beautiful grounds to walk around. The food throughout my stay was lovely.cooked fresh every day And Cooked to a high standard I had the vegetarian option. Which was delicious and cooked to perfection. We also had afternoon tea. Booked in advance Which was well worth the money This was a short break away during the week. Highly recommended place to chill out and relax for a few days. Treatment's are expensive. Your better off booking in advance online. I felt refreshed and relaxed when I left the place. It has a calming effect on people.

Not too sure which was worse the hotel or the spa. The hotel is not realistically walking distance to anywhere so when we were told at 6.30 we couldn’t eat at the restaurant until 8.45 it was irritating. We asked why we couldn’t eat in the empty bar area and the very unhelpful manager said we could but we could not order anything other than an appetiser. After a lot of pleading and waiting 20 mins to speak to the manager they offered to drive us to a local bar to eat. Crazy when all they needed to do was eat in the bar. Ruined the stay. The spa is just an accident waiting to happen. It’s just pitch black. The overcrowded jacuzzi was luke warm. Steam room was good but it was just so dangerous in the dark my wife walked into a glass panel and has a bump the size of an egg next day on her head. It’s everything a relaxing romantic evening isn’t. We considered just giving up and getting a taxi home for the night but couldn’t get a taxi for such a long trip on a Friday night.

Had an amazing time with friends. The rooms were clean, spacious & comfy, with great views over the stunning grounds. The staff are all friendly, warm & very helpful. I had a wonderful relaxing hot stone massage, which left me floating. The facilities were excellent & food was so tasty. We'll definitely be going back again & again.

My husband and I went to the Lifehouae Spa for an evening Spa and supper which consisted of a three course meal and full use of all the facilities. Upon arrival at 5pm the Spa was too full, it was a struggle to get a sunbed and all facilities seemed maxed out! BUT....after about 1 hour it really started to thin out and we had such a great time. The restaurant food was exceptional, absolutely delicious. The staff were very attentive and so pleasant. I would thoroughly recommend the evening Spa, it was just enough time at the resort and we loved it!

All the staff were lovely in both the spa and restaurant. Room was very nice and the added touch of a personalised card for me and my new wife was very nice. Just a shame that there was no availability for any treatments when we were there so could only have the one massage we had pre-booked. Highly recommend booking any treatments in advance, especially if going on/over the weekend

We visited Lifehouse, for the second time this year. Once again we opted for a Signature Room, although my husband is in a wheelchair. If you can afford it, it is worth the difference. The room has plenty of space and the bed is amazing. We enjoyed the Spa facilities and Wendy, one of the pool staff was excellent, friendly and very disability aware. She is an asset to the company.||I enjoyed my Clarins Facial.||The restaurant food is amazing, but the service is really slow.||Last time. we gave some feedback to management and it definitely seems like they have taken it on board.||All the bar staff were helpful and friendly, especially with my husband, looking after him and being adaptable to a disabled person.|We will definitely return here again.

Yelp
My daughter and I returned a third time and I have to say we will not be returning. Something is radically wrong with this place- it used to be great value and well maintained but now it's poorly cared for and the staff reflect this. Firstly there is no warm welcome at all when arriving at the reception and a horrible smell as you go through the door. The breakfast is shockingly poor quality ( the bacon inedible and chewy and the hash browns frozen and tasteless) and frankly for a wellness spa as it alleges to be there is nothing healthy to be eaten here. Barely any fruit and only sweet sugary juices. Afternoon tea was appalling I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have ever had. Gluten free options included a rancid chocolate pot that my daughter described the smell as a hamsters cage! It tasted like the chocolate had been burned and curdled. The only decent thing was the scone and not enough sandwiches. An afternoon tea should offer a selection of teas but we were simply offered tea or coffee, and we had to pay extra for a glass of Prosecco which would normally be included in the price. As for the pool area ..where to start?! No beds free at all and overcrowding meant no space to hang your towel either, all this on a Tuesday! In the steam room the tiles are falling off the seated areas and huge gaps mean it's not comfortable to sit on, the jacuzzi was overcrowded so we had to wait for a space for some time and what a disappointment it was he temperature was lukewarm not hot at all and miserable bubbles barely noticeable. The showers were no better and the only place worth sitting in is the sauna. The therapists doing the treatments were the only highlight but 25 minutes was more like 20 mins on the bed. I had a great back and shoulder massage and a facial but it was just too short to really notice any benefits. It would be better value to have a spa deal without a longer treatment as other spas do. The worst experience was the relaxation room - the dim lights covered up a multitude of sins but in one area the beds were in such a poor condition that the foam was bare and the plastic coating ended up on my daughters face! We were in a better lit place and were appalled to see the state of the beds and quickly left. The shop is a little better in terms of service and help that's about all I can say. This place could be excellent but it is clear there is no maintenance being done and the premises are falling into disrepair with corner cutting and likely staff cutting as there are many empty spaces in the treatment rooms and nail bars and many therapists simply standing about. My advice : make the repairs or cut the costs to your customers or frankly it's likely things will get worse and the reviews will reflect the poor standards.

Yelp
The grounds of Lifehouse are beautiful and as a guest you have free access to walk as you please. I enjoyed my taster facial treatment (30 mins included with overnight stay). We also had dinner and we were all pleased with food. I felt that the spa facilities and the rooms didn't live up to our expectations, especially as the grounds, treatments and food are to a very high standard. The rooms need a little TLC as a few bits were broken. Also, rooms are unbelievably warm in the summer and the lack of fans or AC appear to be a huge oversight. The spa facilities were ok but again I feel like they are left a little unloved and are a bit grubby.

Yelp
I have always loved this place when i visit. 1st time i have stayed and its superb. Nice and clean, superb facilities and food. Staff friendly. Signs of improvement to hotel every visit. Feel like i have escaped the busy world and feel relaxed and revitalised afterwards. :)
