Eder was a great experience, the location is perfect just in the middle of the village next to everything. The rooms were clean and pretty comfy, pool and the outside garden very nice and modern as well. The food was good but the service was a bit slow, we saw that a lot were going on so we don’t blame it. The whole trip made the bartender Maria much better with her super cocktails, this girl is a super catch you have, her flow and the way she works are so professional, she made us also her own creations which all were 10/10! In general we recommend the hotel for sure!

We were a bit underwhelmed when we got there, the hotel is quite dimly lit and it can start to feel quite irritating after a while. There’s no air conditioning in the rooms so it can get quickly stuffy if you keep doors and windows shut. If you end up with a smoking neighbour, like we did, your room is going suck up all the smoke which will go nowhere. That said, the service was great. There’s enough and more for the kids to do. We stayed out of our room most days.

What an absolute find Hotel Eder was for our 2025 skiing week. In over 20 years of skiing, this hotel surpassed all others and we absolutely loved everything about it. The staff were amazing; so friendly, caring and hard working. Number one amongst a fabulous team was our regular waitress, Melanie; she was just lovely, generous and thoughtful. The hotel itself is decorated, with no expense spared, in a tasteful pleasing design and was both contemporary, but cosy and welcoming too. Our room, albeit relatively small, was kitted out in a design to make use of every area, including ideal under bed storage for ski bags and loads of convenient pegs to hang your gear up on. The chambermaids did an excellent job and our room was immaculate and serviced to a high standard daily. The hotel is situated the shortest of walks to the ski lift which is ultra modern with hundreds of lockers to store your ski gear throughout your week. After a fantastic day skiing we came back to our hotel and were soon in the most amazingly hot swimming pool and jacuzzi area which led to a cooler outside swimming area. Just stunning and perfect to help soak away aching muscles. Wha made this beautiful hotel stand out though was the food! We were on a half board basis. The breakfast was outstanding with absolutely tonnes of choice and the dinner….well we were basically eating a five course menu in a fine dining restaurant every evening. It was stupendous. The menus (set menus for classic and vegetarian) were varied and exciting to eat with top quality cooking to enjoy daily. Our daughter, who is vegetarian was blown away with the choice for her and our entire party ate like kings all week. We must have put on a stone each this holiday. The diet starts Monday!||Bottom line, if visiting Maria Alm then you’d not do better than this amazing hotel. We are sad to be leaving in the morning. ||A final comment. This is a family run hotel|and it was lovely to see the management walking the grounds daily just checking all was good. They and their team provided a level of service beyond comparison of many and they should all be proud of their amazing achievements. We’d highly recommend you stay at this hotel for your skiing or summer holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Eder and in Maria Alm, largely thanks to the WONDERFUL Nicole at reception. Her care and attention to detail from the first moment during our booking call through to saying goodbye really made the difference. It was also her colleagues, we had great service from the spa (massages- wonderful), to the bar, to dinner & breakfast. If you are looking for a place to explore/hike/relax/enjoy a spa and some pampering- I definitely recommend! And when you need help navigating the surrounding area or creating your custom hotel/spa package, the cheerful service team is there to support! Note I saw some other poor reviews regarding the rooms/annex building/noise/spa/service- I think these are dramatic and at least one is fully misleading: we stayed in the “annex”- it is a less than 5 second walk between buildings (look up and see beautiful scenery! No problem here). As for noise/spa, I think you’ll find that while you are indeed at the heart of this lively little village you also have full opportunity to relax and restore (and enjoy some church bells from the neighbor too). Lastly, the comments on service couldn’t be farther away, the people here will make you feel included and welcomed before you even arrive. Enjoy!

The Eder Hotel gets better every year. The location, ambience and decor are all exceptional. |We have just had a fantastic stay with our boys celebrating a special birthday. Sepp and his wonderful family made it an extremely memorable day.| The whole staff team go above and beyond, the service and hospitality is amazing. |In particular Simon who served us at dinner, the girls at breakfast who were super smiley and friendly and the omelette chef were all outstanding also Monica who serviced our room to a very high standard of cleanliness. |Thank you Team Eder! We will be back!

We came to eat here on recommendation but I wouldn't recommend to anyone to go there to eat . Service team is falling apart. There isn't any interest in guest . We were waiting to order for half hour, and when waiter came he was rolling eyes while toking the order, when we finished our order he started to comment something the second he turned away. After we called him to order more drinks he ignores us until our food was finished .Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff.

Great all round hotel, in a very quiet village (might not be ideal for the 20 year olds in the family!) We decided to try this hotel on the recommendation of a friend. We loved the hotel from start to finish. The room was very nice with the most comfortable mattresses and plenty of space underneath the bed for suitcases storage etc. We did go for an extra bigger room which was really worthwhile as our friends stayed in a smaller room. The food is top class, a five course meal every night. The breakfast was plentiful and very healthy. Lovely friendly staff and the owner Tania made us feel very much at home. Some people (in their reviews) complained about the nearby church bells that have been ringing for over 650 years, my advice is to bring ear plugs. My husband used the gym daily and found it to be adequate. We used the small pool area every evening which was great after a day's skiing.|On the last day we had booked a taxi to take us to the train station 10 mins away. The taxi never turned, the hotel did their very best to get through to the taxi company and in the end asked a driver from their sister hotel to take us. They were so good to us. I would definitely go back.
