I stayed with friends for four nights in a “Luxus” room with a partial sea view.
The good:
The hotel has an excellent location — right across from the beach, with several great options for dinner and coffee just around the corner and more within a 10-minute walk. Breakfast was nice, with a good variety of options and Nespresso coffee. The personnel at reception were very polite and accommodating.
The not-so-good:
The rooms are very run-down and clearly in need of renovation and maintenance. There was a strong smell of humidity or mold (we even changed rooms, which helped only slightly). Cleanliness was disappointing: the pillows smelled unwashed, the carpet under the bed was old and dirty, the bathroom door was eroded due to water damage, the shower overflowed, and the light switches were grimy. For some reason they only provided shower towels but only 1 hand tower each day. We had to ask each day for hand towels…
The gym consists of just two treadmills and one cross trainer, and the bar on the 12th floor only has two tables.
Overall, this feels more like a 3-star hotel at best. It would be fairer if the hotel were more transparent about the current condition of the rooms when booking.
