The evening front desk guys Luis and Victor were amazing! They made a great recommendation for us to check out Av. Olegario Maciel for dinner. ||||The room was good. Nice size. Clean but I did notice sugar ants in the snack bar. The housekeeper did a good job of making the beds and replenishing the bathroom. We never ran out of anything during our stay!||||Breakfast was good. I have sever food allergies and I felt accommodated here. For my birthday they even brought me fruit because I can't eat cake. The only bad thing was the lady at the lobby bar did not know how to make an iced latte. I know it's mainly a US American thing but it's very simple to do. I still thought the lady and all the servers were very nice and warm so it's okay!||||For the location, I thought Barra da Tijuca was very beautiful and very safe. It is definitely more quiet than Rio. And as a US American, I found it to be of very good value. But I still prefer Ipanema for the higher energy. We ended up spending half of our trip in Barra and the other half in Ipanema.

I stayed with friends for four nights in a “Luxus” room with a partial sea view. The good: The hotel has an excellent location — right across from the beach, with several great options for dinner and coffee just around the corner and more within a 10-minute walk. Breakfast was nice, with a good variety of options and Nespresso coffee. The personnel at reception were very polite and accommodating. The not-so-good: The rooms are very run-down and clearly in need of renovation and maintenance. There was a strong smell of humidity or mold (we even changed rooms, which helped only slightly). Cleanliness was disappointing: the pillows smelled unwashed, the carpet under the bed was old and dirty, the bathroom door was eroded due to water damage, the shower overflowed, and the light switches were grimy. For some reason they only provided shower towels but only 1 hand tower each day. We had to ask each day for hand towels… The gym consists of just two treadmills and one cross trainer, and the bar on the 12th floor only has two tables. Overall, this feels more like a 3-star hotel at best. It would be fairer if the hotel were more transparent about the current condition of the rooms when booking.

This hotel is not worth the money you are paying. From smelly carpets rusted showers and faucet closets handles etc. the breakfast area is nice but lack of employees to clean the tables etc. they provide beach chairs umbrellas. But not Bach towels. Mold in bathroom sink etc I was very disappointed with the experience.visor so works at front seat is an angel and tried to accommodate us. Thank a lot to victor for trying.

Can and stayed for 10 nights with the boyfriend we had the absolute best experience here straight from checking in. Had such a lovely welcome. The room was perfect and was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Breakfast included, great selection which changes. Beautiful fresh cakes. The balcony was lovely we had a sea and also mountain view. The beach is seconds away. Perfect location, couple min drive to a strip with lots of bars/restaurants. There is also 24/7 room service which is very reasonably priced. We will be coming back. Thank you to all the amazing staff

After my second time at LSH, I can definitely confirm it is the hotel of choice for my future visits to Rio de Janeiro.

This place was so nice—the rooms, accommodations, and customer service were outstanding. The pool is stunning, and the breakfast is fantastic, with excellent bar and front desk service. The staff, especially Caio, Gabriel, and Anderson were amazing, making our experience an absolute pleasure. We had to leave after our first night to explore different parts of the city, but we had to come back because no other place compared!

Wonderful stay at LSH! The hotel has a great location, right next to the beach and lots of great restaurants. The breakfast was delicious!! While we got our room late as the hotel was full, they allowed us to have a late check out which was immensely helpful! The room was comfortable and well decorated. We also enjoyed the pool with ocean views, and they had a small area at the beach with beach chairs and umbrellas, just no beach towels… but the beach is lovely! Very friendly and helpful service.. the only thing is that the street can be loud at night so if you’re on a low floor and a light sleeper, bring earplugs. But apart from that, we thought it was an excellent hotel and we would come back!

I’ve been staying at LSH for over seven years, and unfortunately, the hotel gets worse every time I return. The check-in process is one of the slowest I’ve ever experienced at any hotel. You can clearly tell that the rooms are in urgent need of renovation. There was a strange iron table that made no sense at all. It felt completely out of place. My room didn’t have a hairdryer, so I had to request one at the front desk, and it took over 30 minutes to be delivered. The one positive point is the location — the hotel is right at the beginning of Barra da Tijuca, close to the beach, which is very convenient.
