"A family favorite on the southern tip of Sanibel Island, Lighthouse Park Beach is home to the island’s famous lighthouse. It’s also a popular spot for shelling, windsurfing, and fishing off the pier. Restrooms and picnic facilities are available, and leashed pets are welcome."

The beach is great! Soft, white sand. The bathrooms are very CLEAN, which cannot be said about alot of the bathrooms at other beaches. I spent all day there, and it did not become overcrowded. 2 👍🏿👍🏿 The water was warm and calm with occasional waves created by boats in the distance. I would have given it 5 ⭐️s, but the water is not quite as clear as Siesta Keys'. A great place to go.

For all you husbands out there who go to the beach with their wives, this is the beach for you and me! The parking lot was not real big but it was very close to the beach. 😁 The sand was nice the shells were pretty and did I mention how close the parking was( free if you have a handicap plate) the water was clear and the beach not crowded on a Sunday. The lighthouse was pretty neat. It’s worth the 6 bucks to cross the bridge.

Pros: parking is close to the beach and is $5/hr, via code you text to a number and pay with credit card. Tons of shells! Water is pretty clear, but very warm (not refreshing in 95+ degree Florida heat). Cons: Lighthouse is underwhelming. But the worst thing was TERRIBLE BUGS. We went about a hour prior to sunset and got eaten alive. Seriously- it felt like something was stinging us continuously as we walked the beach. The bites were bad the next day and even worse the next! We had hundreds of bites all over our bodies- they were miserable and itchy and formed big welts around them! We had to buy Calamine lotion, antihistamines, and lotion to make it through the rest of our vacation. We stopped at a beach on the Sanibel causeway that was MUCH better to watch the sunset. It was breezy and NO BUGS- and free parking.

We were looking to do some shelling. Sanibel Island is on several lists recommending it. We stopped at the lighthouse beach. We had a great time. Not too hot, the water was nice.

LOVED Lighthouse beach on Sanibel! The highlight was the many dolphins playing close to shore. Although parking is limited, I plan to arrive early! There isn't anywhere to park close by either unless you plan on walking.

Went on a Wednesday, not too packed. Ocean water was pretty dirty due to hurricane damage awhile ago from what I read, but the beach was nice and we found lots of shells. Paid 20$ for 4 hrs of parking. Bathrooms are nice and has an area to rinse your sandy body off!

Very pretty beach, roomy, and loads of seashells to be found. The lighthouse was great, and there is an entire islands' worth of beach to explore.

This place really took a beating during Hurricane Ian and now Helene and Milton. But it’s still a beautiful place and they did everything they could for a quick recovery. It will never be the same but it’s still absolutely beautiful. Keep in mind there’s still construction going on. Parking seems a bit pricey but it’s worth it. There are also restrooms and showers at the parking lot. This beach is the best one for shelling, that’s for sure!
