I joined a couple of friends for our first trip to Lights on the Bay. We have all been to Sandy Point State Park on many occasions, so it was a joyful start to our holiday season to see the park lit up so wonderfully.
We didn't arrive until around 9 pm on Saturday night, so we were pleased to find the park was not too crowded. We all enjoyed the many bay themed displays.
We did get a couple of pairs of the 3d glasses that will get more use throughout the holidays. 🦌☃️

Friendly staff, had to wait in line for a while, but other than that the experience was what you would expect. You just drive by and look at about 50-60 cool designed light sculptures and animatronics. Supports animals as well, that’s enough for me :)

The lights were nice, but it was such a small display for $20 per car.

They definitely do not have any way to handle larger than expected crowds. According to the site, Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights but on a Monday we waited over 90 minutes to get in. Needless to say it wasn't close to worth it, even though the cause is good and the lights are nice. Also would do well to have some sort of traffic control to prevent impatient drivers from cutting their way around the lines of cars. Not a fun experience.
