The best place to stay in Chiang Mai. Nuy, the host, is incredibly nice and doing everything she can to make everyone happy. Both breakfast and dinner are included and fantastic! Both are buffets with many delicious dishes, super healthy fruits, and loads of vegetarian options. Laundry and bicycles are also included free of charge! Whenever she can, Nuy tries to help all her guests, bringing us to the airport or train station, cooking cakes for our birthdays... For the Songkran festival, she provided us with water guns and protections for our phones, organized a day at the waterfalls and another at the temple... all of that free of charge. She has loads of rooms and dorms options, with or without AC, for all budgets. Like Home is spread on 4 different buildings on adjascent streets, pretty close to each other. The location is ideal, very close to the Chiang Mai gates. Everything is easily accessible from there, wether by foot or with the free bicycles or with the motorbikes we can rent. An amazing hostel experience, I've never seen anything comparable anywhere in the world. Thank you Nuy for your kindness! <3

One of the most comforting hostels I've visited yet. Nui is an amazing host, making sure you are always okay. This strong woman has free breakfast and dinner provided everyday. You can see her working from morning till late at night providing free laundry's service and alsooooo organized free taxis to the bus stops you need for your next travel day. Great and kind staff. Does as it says on the tin " feels like home "!!! Will definitely return if ever back in Thailand<3

Like Home is hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed. The included buffet breakfast and dinner are absolutely delicious and make the stay incredible value. It’s super convenient having the laundry service right there, and the scooter that comes with the room makes it easy to explore Chiang Mai. The location is perfect, central but quiet, and there’s an amazing, cheap, and authentic Thai restaurant just next door. Nuy, the owner, is incredibly welcoming and goes above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. The hostel naturally attracts a friendly, chilled-out bunch of people, which made it really easy to connect and feel part of the community. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Thanks again Nuy!

The place is quite dirty and really unorganized. We arrived earlier than expected, she let us shower but also suggested us to clean one room by ourselves (the gests just checked out). There are also alot of cats and they enter the rooms sometime, not so pleasent if you are allergic to them. We decided that we didn’t want to stay there and we cancelled the booking. After we told her we went for the luggage and we heard her talking about us to other costumers. We wanted to try this guesthouse because of the good reviews but please read also the negative ones.

Read reviews before booking! We reserved a private room but had to stay 1km away on the first night because it wasn’t available. After a long journey, we arrived at 6pm only to find we couldn’t check in. My boyfriend was given a moped to follow a helper, who drove me to an unfamiliar location far from the old town. We were told to leave our belongings there and explore Chiang Mai, but after a 10+ hour bus ride, we just wanted to shower and rest. We also didn’t feel safe leaving our valuables in an unknown lobby. When we returned to ask about our room, Nui (the owner) finally sent someone to prepare it. It was supposedly an expensive room but felt average, with a broken main light forcing us to use the bathroom light. The next day, we were able to check into our original booking and I couldn’t fault it for the price, but it was a 5-minute walk from the main accommodation, this didn’t bother us as we had luckily rented a moped. Nui (the owner) was very lovely and provided free breakfast and dinner, and also washing. But the system is confusing and stressful, something to consider before booking.

Beware don't get scammed !!! this location always shows there are rooms available but as it happened to me and also according to other people in the reviews, people are taken to different places, in my case a much cheaper and horrible one, and we were still charged the same amount as shown on the booking website, we were charged 790 bhat for a room that unfortunately only after we checked out, we checked and found out it was for less than 360 bhat, but as it was late and my boyfriend wasn't feeling well and we were exhausted we just went with it. Unfortunately as bad as the room was, the worst mattress I ever had to sleep on, felt all the broken strings on there and the hardest pillow that we only put to the side, a sort of dirty towel was supposed to be a blanket and the blocked sink, he was still feeling unwell and couldn't get up the next morning, and I, too tired and didn't think much unfortunately reserved another night on the booking website instead of checking the rate of the actual property I was at staying at, but when I went to reception the old lady who doesn't speak much English was asking me for the first night's charge when I already paid one of the owners apparently British volunteer the night before and she couldn't understand what I was saying so we called the owner, but then told her that there's no way that the room I received was at this price, and I paid the rate which was a bit cheaper on that day but still not the price of actual property I was at but the one shown on booking, so it up to 650 a night each. Never at any moment did she tell me that the rate of the room I was staying at, was actually less than half the price I was being charged of course, and she actually cancelled my reservation on the Booking website, as I received emails of my reservation being cancelled for not showing up when she is the one moving people to different locations, but still charging me for the same Booking price when it's a worse and a cheaper place, therefore she didn't pay the Booking fare either I guess. Unfortunately we only checked out these information when we felt better and checked out already. Also our luggage were brought to us later as they move the guests on motorbikes, we got the 4th floor with no elevator and steep stairs. If it happens to anyone please do check that you are paying for the rate of the actual property you are staying at.
