This was by far one of the worst hostel experiences I’ve ever had. The service was absolutely terrible. The staff were openly hostile, unfriendly, and at times even aggressive. Instead of feeling welcome, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout my stay. Basic questions were met with rude responses, and any request felt like an inconvenience to them. The rooms were dirty, poorly maintained, and simply unpleasant. Cleanliness seems to be a very low priority here, which is unacceptable for any accommodation, especially a hostel. Before arriving, I had already heard many complaints about this hostel. Unfortunately, every single one of them turned out to be completely justified. I regret not listening to those warnings and choosing to stay here anyway. On top of everything, the overall atmosphere in the hostel was extremely uncomfortable. Rather than a relaxed or welcoming environment, there was constant tension, largely due to the aggressive and unprofessional behavior of the staff. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone. There are plenty of better options out there with respectful staff, basic cleanliness, and a much more pleasant atmosphere.

These guys are awesome! We stayed with them before and after our w trek hike. They were super helpful and friendly. Rooms were great. Also hired their camping equipment which good quality and very reasonable prices. Their free breakfast in the morning is also wicked, waffles, eggs, oats, fruits, coffee ect… Couldn’t recommend them more. Very happy!

The biggest thing that drags this place down are the "owners" (maybe they are managers, I don't know). The volunteers and the other workers are very friendly and helpful. The "owners" are cold, rude and always around. If you dig through reviews you'll find that some people have had nightmare experiences with David the Manbunned one. The room was clean and spacious enough. However the gas heater had a minimum temperature that was very high. If you turn the heater off you have to ask a member of staff to come and turn it back on. It would be a godsend in winter I'd imagine. The kitchen is well stocked but during the day tends to be full of the workers/volunteers instead of guests which creates a bit of an odd atmosphere. My biggest gripe would be with the shower. THEY CANNOT PROVIDE A HOT SHOWER. They will tell you you just have to wait but the best you'll get is just cold enough to tolerate. You can imagine after an 8 hour hike how frustrating that is.

One of my favorite hostels I have stayed in! Everything was clean, kitchen was stocked, and the common area was incredibly cozy. The staff was also amazing! So helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Tons of gear and excursions available and the staff organized everything for it. Great location as well - we could walk everywhere in Puerto Natales. Laid back, friendly, a true home away from home! Can’t wait to go back!

TDLR: perhaps the cheapest rental place, but the rudest staff (gear hire guy). We were doing the W trek, and needed gear to hire. We came here, and found it had the best prices we had found. But OH MY GOD, the man bun guy (I think David) was the worst guy I’ve ever had to deal with in all my years of travel. He was cold and rude and so unhelpful it almost felt like a prank. If I wasn’t so poor and needed the cheap prices I would have turned around and gone somewhere else - which I honestly feel like is what he wanted me to do. I should also mention that the lady with the red/orange hair was actually very nice. This review is not about her or any other staff members. To the gear hire guy: please do better, it’s your job.

he wont do any business with israeli guys just because we are Israeli, we came inside his store and ask to rent a sleeping bag and the first question was where r we from, as soon as we said israel he said im sorry we dont rent for Israel

These guys were great. There was a slight issue but the owner rectified it and made sure we were happy. We got the private room and the pillows, mattress and duvet were so comfortable. The breakfast is sensational! Waffles, fruit, granola and more. Highly recommend

I had a lovely stay in the hostel. Two nights prior to my W trek and one night after. The staff was extremely kind and helpful for all sorts of questions (where to get cash, where to have a good meal, where to explore in the area, etc…) and the entire place was kept very clean. I was able to leave my extra non-hiking bag in the hostel while I did the W trek which was an absolute life saver (available only for those staying in the hostel before their trek). The kitchen has lots of natural light and was peaceful during the days, lively during the evenings. The breakfasts, as written in the other reviews, were delicious, and so nicely prepped. The beds were also very comfortable. In terms of location, everything felt close by except maybe the bus station where a 10/15 minute walk can feel a bit long in the dark if returning from the Torres del Paine park late in the evening. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel! It was absolutely wonderful and I’d love to stay again.
