We arrived at Malé and were met by the Lily Beach representative, who took us to the fabulous seaplane lounge. The lounge was luxurious, with refreshments while we waited, but we didn’t have long to wait before being whisked off on a quick 20-minute transfer to Lily Beach.|Upon arrival, we were greeted by the wonderful team with delicious drinks and a glass of champagne. After a lovely lunch, we were shown to our room—a stunning water villa. These villas are absolutely incredible, with glass floors, huge rooms, expansive decking, and private pools. We loved watching the rays, sharks, and fish straight from our decking, and even the bathroom was spectacular. The mini bar was restocked daily with treats, wines, and soft drinks. Toppi, our room boy, was fabulous and truly a credit to Lily Beach.|The island is long, and walking from the water villas to the main pool area takes about 20 minutes, but it’s lovely to wander around. The main pool area is quite shaded and isn’t open to the beach, and it can get busy—though we visited during the October half-term. The adults-only pool is closer to the water villas and usually much quieter. This pool area also doubles as one of the lunch restaurants, where service was excellent and food arrived quickly.|The main buffet was fabulous, and we often chose to sit on the beach, where we were looked after by the lovely Jaleel. He remembered our favourite wine, chatted with our little boy about football, and really went above and beyond—another credit to the resort. Every member of staff we encountered was exceptional.|The food was brilliant across the board. The fish station, where fresh fish is cooked to order, was a highlight. Mohammed was always ready to assist, and we loved this interactive dining experience at both lunch and dinner. The variety and standard of food were outstanding. It’s clear why Lily Beach has such a high rate of returning guests—they’re doing something right!|The beach bar and water sports centre are wonderful. The sand is divine, and the cocktails at the beach bar were excellent, though sometimes one person had to handle a lot during sunset. Evening entertainment was either at the main bar or the sports bar—both fun, although karaoke could get a bit noisy—but it was easy to find a quieter spot at the other bar.|The snorkelling here was incredible—the best we’ve ever experienced. This was one of the main reasons we chose Lily Beach. My husband particularly loved the nurse shark diving near the water villas. We would happily return just for the snorkelling. We also visited the spa for a mother-and-son massage, which was perfect, especially with the brilliant offers available.|We were sad to leave so soon, but we were lucky to have a late checkout on our departure day, allowing us to make the most of our time. A special shout-out to Nasheeth, the Guest Relations Supervisor, who went above and beyond every time to ensure we had the best experience.|We highly recommend Lily Beach and would love to return.
