Why you should visit the rivers in downtown KL - SilverKris

"A nostalgic, old‑school café serving local breakfast favourites; highlights include roti kahwin (white bread filled with butter and kaya) and pulled tea (tah tarik), all enjoyed amid retro décor that evokes a classic Malaysian breakfast spot." - Ronan O'Connell

-Such a lovely place to enjoy a sip of drinks! Would be a whole deal to sit outside in the morning weekdays, more crowded on weekend. -Drinks are nice. I ordered one Houjicha latte which is very good taste, not sweet. -Good ambience to catch up with friends, or simply enjoy reading books and self-time.

UNDERMINED & UNDERRATED ☕️🍳 DEFINITELY NOT UNDERSTOOD. Lim Kee Cafe remains a place of quiet affection for me, a haven of simplicity that holds both charm and sentiment. Last year, I spent my birthday at the vintage Hotel Tian Jing, where every detail - the creak of the wooden floors, the porcelain China, the brass fixtures, and the open-air shower- whispered of days long past. After a night immersed in the intensity of a metal concert, I returned to find Chinatown still alive with its own midnight energy, yet the calm of my room welcomed me like a forgotten friend. This year, my return was less grand in intention, driven by the simple wish to collect a sticker from the hojicha latte they serve so perfectly. But even after a year, the staff remembered me, greeting me with wide smiles as though no time had passed. Truly, if fate is kind, I shall return again, drawn back by the warmth and quiet beauty of this place.

Every time we visit this coffee shop we are delighted. The coffee is great: wonderful aroma and consistency and just the right strength. The cakes are unforgettable! We had Black Forest with Rum, and Salted caramel with whisky, they were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is nice and inviting. Can't wait to visit it again!

A fabulous oasis in the middle of Chinatown. They take extra care with their drinks, it's cool with clean washrooms. Stop here for a break from the heat. We had the iced matcha and passion mojito. Recommended!

Delightful little airconditioned cafe. They have a selection of reasonably priced coffees (for a touristy location). Had their blueberry cake which was a delicious treat. Soft music in the back ground rounds off the experience. The absolute nicest place in the area to take a breather.

I went to a famous chain drink shop across the street from this cafe and asked for a black coffee with no milk and no sugar, but they didn’t have it. The staff told me that the cafe across the street, located on the first floor of a hotel, would have it. The building’s exterior was lovely, and the atmosphere inside was nice. The staff were quiet but friendly, and I was able to enjoy a delicious black coffee.

As guest of Tian Jing Hotel, I get to try their drinks (was happy to pay and try as I thought the complimentary drink was just for first day). I must say the menu selection is very generous! Drinks were really good quality for a cafe! I personally liked Hojicha and Matcha Lattes but their coffee was equally good and smells nice. I really really loved the Coffee Rum Cheesecake where the coffee jelly inside is like taking a sip of of Rum itself. When I was there they have 4 different alcoholic cheesecakes and I so regret not trying them earlier! Price wise it is at Cafe standard. But hey, at least the quality is truly worth the money and tummy space! Nice ambience away from the heat of street. Nostalgic feel and they have big and small tables around. I sat there one afternoon and I observe that they cleared the tables soon after people leave. They also sprayed and wiped it clean so the tables are always ready to seat next group of customer. Prompt, nice and helpful people here!

Great location with some Michilin hawkers/restaurants nearby. The staff were kind and friendly. Also the decoration is classic and quite a chilly atmosphere. I ordered Dirty, good stuff but not impressive enough. Still recommend if you visit this area and want to find a cool place and good coffee.
