"Lime Cay, an uninhabited island about two miles off of Port Royal, is a favorite destination ofKingstonians for white-sand beaches, sunbathing, and swim time. This is an ideal deserted escape on weekdays, and weekends are usually only a bit busier andbring a fewvendors. Don't count on the vendors, though: Bring your own food, water, sunscreen, and snorkeling gear. Wear water shoes, as there can be urchins. To arrange a trip over, ask at your hotel, or inquire atthe bar onMorgan's Harbour called the Y-Knot—they'llhelp you find aboat rideor fisherman willing to take you to the island for no more than US$20."
It's a beautiful place. I recommend wearing an umbrella or something to shade. You can swim very well, it's a paradise to tell the truth.

This is a beautiful bit of sand, its like you are lost on a desert island, a true getaway for a couple of hours. You can swim but there are rocks so ypu cant swim far, and you need swim shoes.
The amount of KFC pots and other rubbish here unfortunately ruins it. The rubbish stinks. I dont know that anyone owns Lime Cay and would therefore take responsibility for it.

After the ride to get here I didn't think it was gonna be worth it. I will tell you it was definitely worth flying on the air on the boat and the rough waters. Coming back is smooth but going is 👎. Depending on the wind. You will love it. Please bring towels and everything you must need. The island is beautiful alot places to swim and chill. You may be asking whats the easiest way to get here. Well im about to Help you. You need to get to port royal fishing port. You can take uber to get here but not back, you will have to taxi or public bus back. Ask for the bus stop in the small town.

Really nice island that's really close to Kingston. There's a quick 15 minutes boat ride from port royal to the island (Y-Knot charges 1500 per adult or 1000 per child round trip).
The island itself is beautiful with its cool blue waters and (mostly) unlittered shore. There's also a small reef to the east of the island. Good for a quick snorkel.

Book a trip to Lime Cay with Yardie Divers! I love doing this as a beach day. Just bring food, an igloo with drinks and friends 😊

Amazing experience! The water is so clear and the island itself offers an escape from the city. Not very crowded in the early mornings or on weekdays so you basically have the island to yourself.
