5 Floating Bars in the Caribbean for the Ultimate Tropical Cocktail

"For those who'd rather not drink on an empty stomach, the iconic Lime Out in St. John's Coral Bay offers tacos (try the rum-rib with chipotle slaw) and a lineup of rum-based cocktails, as well as stylish merch." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Lime Out – St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands - Gastro Obscura

"Dylan Buchalter, Richard Baranowski, and Dane Tarr are behind this most unusual taqueria off of the island of Saint John. The only way to reach the restaurant is to hop on a boat. Once there, splash into the warm, turquoise waters of Coral Bay and swim right up to the bar for a Smokin’ Luca, made with mezcal, tamarind juice, and squeeze of citrus. Tacos come stuffed with fillings like grouper ceviche with pink grapefruit, jerk-seasoned tuna with pineapple, or pulled pork with a barbecue sauce spiked with locally distilled rum. Know Before You Go For diners unwilling to charter a boat, a shuttle service offers regular transportation out to the restaurant." - Traveler Tim, aaronthestrong

St. John Should Be Your Next Culinary Destination

"In 2019, Chelsea and Richard Baranowski, married, in their 30s, and from St. John, opened a floating taco stand in Hansen Bay (since relocated to Coral Bay Harbor) called Lime Out. (Open seasonally; see their website for details.) On a thick afternoon between squalls, my husband, sons, and I jumped from a moored charter and swam to the bar, where I ordered a fresh tuna taco with pico de gallo and chipotle slaw and a mahi ceviche taco with cilantro, crunchy radish, and just enough jalapeño." - Hannah Selinger

Amazing Experience at Lime Out VI! We had a fantastic time at Lime Out VI! The short rib and shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious, and the margaritas were refreshing. The unique adventure of taking a boat, anchoring, and then swimming up to the bar made our visit unforgettable. This is definitely a must-visit spot!

Florie Vendredi

Google
If you want a looooooot of fun, take your boat to this amazing tacos place. Service is quick and joyful, the drinks are delicious and refreshing and mostly, the tacos are delicious!! No boat? Use their naval shuttle that will let you enjoy the Lime Out for about two hours. A must do while staying on St John.

Fat Kid-Diarys

Google
I don’t know why but the line out is far better than lime in. The surf and turf taco and the short rib were delicious. They do take cash which is easier and more comfortable to swim out to with.

Daniel Rosenbaum

Google
Super fun experience! Super yummy tacos! Total repeat!!! We ate their special which was Korean bbq short ribs, and their ceviche, short ribs, surf n turf, and shrimp tacos…so yummy!!! We arrived at 10:30 and all the inflatable tables were already starting to fill up and by 11 am when they opened it was already full so good to go early !

Jim Benedict

Google
Went 1/16/25. Great food. Great drinks, great experience. Sarah was a phenomenal server.

Jeff Rospert

Google
Wow, what a great experience at the floating restaurant of Lime Out. Very good tacos with the most unusual dining experience with very unique seating areas and swim up bar. Go and create a great memory at this piece of goodness...a swimsuit is a must.

Google
A must do while visiting USVI. The tacos were absolutely amazing and the drinks were also excellent. I recommend you carry a good amount of cash on you if you swim to the floaties (we spent about $300). The only con of the location is that it is in the bay so naturally the water does have an oil smell which can be unpleasant, especially when the boats pile in you can notice the exhaust smells. But overall what a great few hours to spend your time, let loose, drink amazing beach drinks, and eat some top notch tacos! Will return! 5 stars! Excellent service, friendly staff!

Zach Gordon

Google
Amazing experience! It's a niche setup not a total gimmick. I say that because the food (tacos) and drinks are legit. It's worth the experience. Recommend going early (at opening) if possible. Then you can watch people swim up rather than people watching you swim trying to find space. Great for the family. Floating seats and swim up bar and watch fish swim underneath. Had the pleasure to see "Fred" -- the local fish Shout out to Captain Johnny for taking us right to pad and not having to swim
google avatar

Ellyn H.

Yelp
A must do! I highly recommend taking Captain Colleen out to Lime Out. You don't have to swim to the rafts, there is no time limit, and she has an adorable co-captain, PupPup! 340-201-7284 Our tacos at Lime Out were awesome! The tuna taco was the special and was quite possibly the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Delicious! The atmosphere is super chill and it's a must do when you're on the island. We went at 3 and it wasn't super busy. John Paul was our server and he was fantastic. Overall it was a great way to spend the afternoon.
google avatar

Danielle V.

Yelp
What an amazing experience! This is a floating taco bar in the middle of the bay. You sit at these floating devices or at the "bar" in the water. Tacos are pricey but totally worth it for the flavor and experience. We had such a fun time, the service is great as well. You have to take a boat out but they have a boat shuttle you can pay to go out there. Overall you have to do this if you are in St. John.
google avatar

Bill C.

Yelp
Can a floating taco bar be bad? I don't think so. The food was great, the drinks were tasty and the staff was fun and having a great time. Overall a great experience and something I would do over and over again with friends.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
This place one of the coolest places I've been to. Having tacos in a floating "lily pad" this is unforgettable. The fish are right beneath you. Food is given to you on a floating lily pad I guess that's what you can call it. They had merchandise for sale as well. Went snorkeling and stopped here to have lunch and went back to the catamaran called Frenchman's Reef to keep snorkeling.
google avatar

Carly J.

Yelp
Tacos were sooooo good! Can't go wrong with any of the ones you choose! We had a group of about ten on one lily pad. They only take one card and do not allow you to split the charges. My one complaint about this style of serving is how they give you your food. They put all the tacos of the same kind in the same container so you all have to sort through to figure out which is yours. With a group of ten it got complicated really quick so we ended up just eating whatever we had. The drinks were really good (all double shots). I had the danger and the coco colado. Both were super good! I definitely recommend the tuna taco, it was some of the best tuna I've ever had!
google avatar

Holly K.

Yelp
Such a vibe! Highly recommend adventuring to this floating taco bar! Food is incredible, good with allergies, drinks are fab and staff are friendly. We took captain Johnnycakes dingy out and were dropped right on a lily pad (easier for my 70's folks versus pulling themselves up). A must when in St John

R S.

Yelp
The food is amazing and you can't you can't go wrong with any of the tacos and the service was great. The only reason why I took a star off is because the girl did not explain that when you buy a $70 growler that you also needed to pay an additional $50 to fill the growler up when explained she said buy the growler for $70 and will fill it up with whatever drink you'd like . we purchased two and it was an extra hundred dollars on our tab.a bit deceptive

Morgan M.

Yelp
One of our favorite experiences while vacationing on St. John! The price can add up, but it was so worth it! The drinks, food, and experience was a 10/10. (Also, the prices for the tacos are for ONE taco.)
google avatar

Karen F.

Yelp
The tacos are delicious and they have items you can buy that are great souvenirs. I had a punch drink that was pretty damn tasty! I purchased a thermos to take home and they put my drink in there which kept it pretty cold.
google avatar

Sam F.

Yelp
Best tacos on water! But really, great quality fresh tacos can't be beat! Merch is a bit overpriced for quality (tee brands are basic) but it's such a unique experience boating to a taco truck and floating while eating. Floats can get packed with groups visiting from large Cats

Jason S.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Neat experience. The ambiance is terrific! We had a great time, floating on Coral Bay, eating tacos and chilling. Really great! We took Salt + Lime Express out there with Tiger! Great host!

Wanda Y.

Yelp
We stopped at Lime Out as part of a snorkeling dolphin tour on our trip to St.Thomas and enjoyed all of it! The tacos were good, ambience was great! A most do at least once when you visit the island.

Alex K.

Yelp
A 1 of a kind experience that's a must see on St. John's. Food on the water and fishes nibbling the crumbs off your toes. Sit on a tube and enjoy their amazing Tacos. I had the Rum Rib and the Curry Chicken. Top tier, would eat every day if I could. Prices are completely reasonable for the location.

Joan M.

Yelp
So fun! Absolute must do! Tacos were so delicious and it's such a unique experience eating while floating in the water.
google avatar

Sally S.

Yelp
An absolute must do when on St John. We went for lunch via the Salt Deck, you can only get there via boat. It's so fun and the tacos are spectacular. The service is incredible, honestly we thought how do they manage to keep all this straight- but they do! You can't go wrong with any of the tacos or drinks.
google avatar

Liliana G.

Yelp
Wow! If you get the opportunity to get here on a boat, DO IT! A very unique and fun experience. Service was on point the tacos were very flavorful and freshly made. Their ingredients are top notch. I highly recommend the surf and turf, shrimp and ceviche tacos. We went with a large group and the waitress handled it to perfection. Highly recommend this place. Helpful tips: 1. Make sure you arrive around 10:30am, they open at 11 and ppl get desperate because they want to sit on the floats. 2. Bring a water safe pouch since you'll have to swim up to the restaurant. 3. They will put a hold on your credit card for 100$ until you return the tumblers.

Michael A.

Yelp
An awesome spot to stop on any excursion boat trip. Floating restaurant that serves tacos and drinks. The tacos are awesome. I had the surf and turf as well as the shrimp. Both are excellent. Floating in the beautiful waters of Coral Bay is cool while you sip on their well made cocktails. Service was great. The ladies working there rush around making sure everyone is happy. High recommend.
google avatar

Kyle T.

Yelp
This place is a really cool spot, out on the water in Coral Bay! Staff is friendly and attentive. Fun seating for the group in the water. Wish there was a little shade though lol. The drinks were creative and strong, I had the Danger which was good and spicy! This place has only 1 flaw. A single taco is $10-$13. Don't get me wrong, that taco was great and I enjoyed every bite, but as an average sized person with an average appetite, I could have easily eaten 3. Yes I understand the restaurant is floating in the ocean, but for $13 you could at least give me 2 tacos, or a side dish or something. I felt guilt as soon as I saw the menu and we were told that it's priced per taco. I understand that money is no object for a lot of their customers, but we were still hungry!

Lara M.

Yelp
A floating taco bar. In the islands. How could you go wrong? I was worried that this would be a tourist trap (it used to be in another location where you could paddle, swim or kayak there). Now located in Coral Bay and you must hire a cruise expedition, local expedition or take a shuttle to get there. We chose Coral Harbor Shuttle (aka Captain Johnnycakes) because it was closest to the original experience. He has been in St John for 30 years! Just find the firehouse, turn right and park in gravel lot. The captain will pick you up, drop you as close to a pad as possible and when you want pickup just call or let the server know (no time limit like Salt&Lime ferry!) OK - LimeOut itself was busy but had delicious tacos and drinks. The servers are smart, efficient and fun. We got the short rib and ceviche tacos. The best drink was the Hunter's Passion (to my surprise! Super island-ly delicious). Bring a dry bag or wallet- just need to hold keys, credit card and waterproof phone protector. Would go again!

Yelp
What a happening place. People boat in and swim in for libations and tacos. Food is good. Drinks are great. They go non stop with people in all pods until the middle of the afternoon. If you want a spot be waiting at 10:30 to get your place. Definitely a fun adventure for tacos.
google avatar

Christy J.

Yelp
My friend and I made our way to St John from St Thomas via ferry then made our way to Lime out via bus. We then had to meet up with captain Jonnycakes In order to hop in his boat and head over to this over water restaurant. (Captain Johnnycakes: $30 boat ride for 2 hr stay at lime out Tacoboatstjohns.com) It was definitely an adventure in itself, but this was such a dope experience. It was crowded when we got there so we had to swim about 10 ft from John's boat to the bar. We ordered a few pricey but tasty tacos and some drinks and eventually secured ourselves a lily pad and they floated our orders over to us. Took a few tacos to go so excuse the less then stellar taco picture.

Heather B.

Yelp
We visited in April on a trip to USVI for my husband's 40th birthday. The tacos were delivered to our boat through our excursion company. We then swam out to the venue to have cocktails and hang out. The tacos were absolutely delicious! It was fun to swim out and hang on the lily pads. I wish the drinks were better. The merchandise is very expensive, and the servers don't really care about taking care of the patrons. They just want to hustle you in and out. It was fun, but once is enough.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Perhaps the most fun restaurant concept ever and they've figured out how to make it work perfectly! Great fun staff have it down to a science! The tacos were fantastic! The portions were generous and the flavors well developed! The drinks were terrific and kept chilled nicely! I got the rum rib Taco and wanted more for that sauce ! The tuna Taco was excellent as well! Get there early to score a float! A stop there was part of our Stormy Pirates snorkel trip so we lucked out! FYI: they do take a deposit for your table and drinks so no one runs off with their really nice cups (which keep the drinks perfectly chilled) and etc but it was simple and no fuss! It's worth it!
google avatar

Abdou B.

Yelp
We travelled by boat to this location and was scary due to the bad weather lol. Suggest ordering 40 min in advance to avoid delays. Very good food, we had the shrimp and also the tuna tacos. Very amazing flavors, a bit pricy but worth the experience
google avatar

Paul L.

Yelp
Definitely a tourist trap, but if you're a tourist, go ahead and get trapped - you're on vacation! This is just something fun to do. We took the Salt and Lime Express out to the restaurant. It's no more than a 5 minute ride. Once you get there, they give you a flotation belt and you swim out to the floating restaurant. My family swam the fastest, so we landed one of the lily pads. We ordered a bunch of different tacos. They were all good. They all were thoughtfully created and were a step above a standard taco. My favorite was the shrimp taco. Drinks were also tasty. It helped that they were served in Yeti cups, which kept them cold. A few tips - pace yourself. If you take one of the boats, you'll be there for 2 hours. Don't order everything at once. Order a few tacos and some drinks. Then take a break and order a second round if you want. You'll have time. Also, pay attention to your bill. When you arrive, you give them your credit card and name. As we were sitting there, we happened to overhear someone being served tacos under our name. Sure enough, we were billed for their tacos. This place is expensive enough without paying for other people's tacos. Finally, they don't serve anything but tacos and drinks. No apps, no desserts, nothing. If you are looking for anything else, they won't have it. Personally, I think most customers would appreciate adding a few apps like guacamole and chips and maybe a dessert or two to the menu.

Yelp
We love lime out! We've been going since it was in Hansen Bay and it always is a must-do. The Danger cocktail is amazing and the tacos did not disappoint. We love sitting on the lily pads and sipping our drinks in the sun while the fish swim around. We also tried the tamarind shots for the first time and highly recommend. Service is fantastic as well with everyone being super friendly. Definitely a can't miss on St. John.
google avatar

Candice L.

Yelp
On our first full day on St John we headed to Lime Out today on a boat tour with Alex at Love City Tours. My biggest regret of the day was not ordering more tacos!!!! I'll had the short rib and shrimp tacos and they were AMAZING. Yes the are a bit pricey for the street taco size, but basically everything is an import on the island so that's to be expected. Not to mention, you get what you pay for and in my opinion they use high quality ingredients. I love the concept of this floating taco bar. We parked our boat and had the opportunity to swim while waiting for our food. We waited about a half hour for the food to be brought to our boat, but the time flew quickly! If you're on the fence about going while visiting, take my word for it and include this in your itinerary (be mindful that it's only accessible by boat)! Clear water, cocktails, and tacos? What more can you ask for?!
google avatar

Amy W.

Yelp
What an amazing day! In order to get to line out you need to charter a boat to pick you up. This shouldn't be an issue. We were dropped off and had to swim over to the rafts. You can either choose a raft or you can sit in the swim up bar. Both seemed equally fun. They pass a menu over to you in a floatation thing and then you send it back and order. Your drinks and food are served the same way. Most of the charters are paid for 1.5 -2 hours. So pay attention to the time. This is typically enough for 2 drinks each and food. We chose two tacos each which was plenty. The shrimp tacos were by far the winner from our group. The cauliflower came in close second. This trip is a must if you visit the island. We loved it. Was it a bit overpriced? Well of course it was. But you're paying for the experience! Make sure you bring a water proof case for your camera. Mine fell in and one of our friends had to dive in after it! If you have a water proof bag you may want to bring that too. We had to swim back with our merch up in the air. That was not an easy swim. I definitely recommend this excursion!
google avatar

Brandi M.

Yelp
We loved the tacos and it's a fun atmosphere, definitely unique. However, we did not appreciate that they are miscalculating their "suggested gratuities". We realized when we got home that $55.80 is NOT 20% of $257, it should be $51.40 - seems somewhat fraudulent, especially if it is happening all day, every day.
google avatar

Bryana N.

Yelp
I went for my graduation trip to the Virgin Islands and we saw that this floating restaurant was recommended. They sure were right! Every taco was amazing and it fills you up. It's also a super cute place with friendly workers too. I recommend the bbq tacos. Delicious. All of their drinks were good too!! We walked (swam out lol) spending well over $200 for all of us but we all said it was well worth the experience!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Literally the best floating bar that's ever existed. Shrimp tacos are the best! We were floating all day
google avatar

Meghan T.

Yelp
Lime Out is THE BEST! We ventured out to this gem on the Salt + Lime pontoon shuttle (highly recommend!!!) and had some of the best drinks and tacos ever! It was pretty packed when we got there so we hung out on the floating bar for a bit and were greeted right away and got our drink order in. The staff was really great about making sure each group secured a lily pad as soon as one opened. Some favorite drinks were the Coco Colada, Hunter's Passion, and Flip's Grapefruit Marg. Favorite tacos were the shrimp, tuna, and rum rib. I seriously still dream about the shrimp taco. Don't let the prices scare you away, the Lime Out is worth every penny.
google avatar

Benjamin M.

Yelp
I mean it's a floating f***ing taco boat. You'd be fine if the food was just ok, but it's great! Everyone enjoyed the 5-6 types of tacos they had. Some lady mentioned a shell fish allergy in another party and Lime Out said it was fine... she died later but we missed that part. Anyhoo, these people did it right and you'd be stupid not to visit. Taking your camera or anything that might get wet is a risk, but I took pictures for you so just steal mine. Get a waterproof phone case and you'll be fine. Tacos are 11$ each and cash/card works. Enjoy!

Yelp

This unique floating taco restaurant takes the concept of waterfront dining to new heights, offering an array of mouthwatering flavors while floating on the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea. Yelp
Lime Out VI is a one of a kind amazing floating taco bar located in the middle of Coral Bay by Saint John Island in the Virgin Islands. Lime Out VI Floating Taco Bar was one of our favorite parts of our trip sailing the Virgin Islands! The only way to get to Lime Out is by boat, paddle board, or kayak. The front of Lime Out's taco bar has a long wood built in table with 8 seats facing the bar that are underwater and keep you partially submerged and cool. Behind the bar's built in seating, there's 6 floating horse shoe shaped green tables that can hold up to 7 people each. Behind Lime Out there's a drive through for boats to pickup orders or to dock your boat. The Surf & Turf Taco came with short rib, blackened shrimp, feta cheese, local organic micro greens, radishes and guacamole. 10/10 The Ceviche Taco came with fresh catch Ceviche, pink grapefruit, orange segments, red onion, cilantro, Jalapeño peppers, chili garlic, passion fruit dressing, radishes, & Chipotle cole slaw. 9/10 The Fresh Tuna Taco came with chili garlic Marinated blackened Tuna, Pico De Gallo, guacamole, and chipotle cole slaw. 9/10 The Aksel Rosé drink comes with rosé, Moscato, orange liqueur, passion fruit pureé. 9/10 The Mudda Tucker drink comes with chocolate coquito, plenty of rum, kahlua, & amaretto. 10/10 The drinks were strong & very tasty. All of the drinks come in a Yeti style metal cup which keep your drinks surprisingly cool in the hot tropical weather and if you don't return it your credit card will be charged a $60 deposit. The tacos were pricey at $9 to $12 per taco but were very tasty. Lime out uses only fresh ingredients and the flavor combinations are delicious. It was entertaining watching a group of fish jump at anything that you dropped. Since I dropped a lot they were swarming our laps. If you don't have a boat, you can go to Hansen Beach & rent a kayak or paddle board for $30 for a 2 person kayak for 2 hours & paddle out. Lime Out VI Floating Taco Bar is closed on Mondays so make sure you don't go on a Monday. It does get busy, so get early! They open at 11:30! If you're on St John Island, I highly recommend visiting the Lime Out floating taco bar! It's definitely a one of a kind unforgettable experience that will be a highlight of everyone's trip!

Ambrose P.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Been there every time I go to St. John. The Food was fantastic. Very Unique concept of a restaurant/bar. Can get crowded but workers are always helpful.
google avatar

Annie O.

Yelp
Awesome food! Highly recommend the shrimp and surf n turf. Fun idea and coco colada drink was great. Went on an excursion through CruzBay Watersports. Only way to get here is by boat.
google avatar

Talor G.

Yelp
By far the coolest on the water taco experience! Make sure to get there when they open because they do get busy pretty quick! We did a all day boat day around the island and came to eat lunch here! The ceviche and shrimp tacos were excellent! The staff was awesome and the overall experience of eating on a floaty in the water was awesome! I loved swimming up to our "table" and just enjoying lunch in the water! This place is an absolute must try!

Yelp
Lime Out is a floating taco bar located in the middle of a bay in Saint John. The only way to get there is by boat, paddle board or kayak. We choose a kayak and after a smooth ride we pulled up and tied the kayak to a floating foam like large pad. There is no sitting or hanging out on the pad so you have to jump out and swim your way over to the front of the bar. The back of the bar is a drive through for boats. Seating is underwater and very limited. There are a couple of large floating couches but they were taken long before we arrived. Luckily we found a seat and quickly ordered our drinks. Their bar pours heavy and the drinks are tasty. All of the drinks come in a Yeti type cup and if you don't return it your credit card will be charged. Everybody relinquishes a credit card when you arrive and it is returned when you return the cups and pay. The tacos were pricey but amazing. The prices run from $7 to $10 each. The special is two tacos, two drinks and one hat for $70.00. When you add your cost for getting out to Lime Out it turns into an expensive afternoon. They use only fresh ingredients and the flavor combinations are delicious. My husband and I ordered three tacos each. The rum short rib taco was our favorite. I found it a problem sitting in the water and eating. The water pushed me around a bit and the tacos were sloppy to hold. It was extremely entertaining watching a group of fish jump at anything that you dropped. Since I dropped a lot they were swarming our laps. Next time I visit the island I will return to Lime Out but it will be with a better plan so that I can really enjoy the excellent food.

Yelp
Such a good time, you have to do it just once!!! Tacos are excellent. Drinks are awesome. Staff is amazing, you've got to do this when you come to St John.!
google avatar

Ara A.

Yelp
Tasty taco, good service, excellent view of the sea. There are lots of options for all taco lovers but my fav was seared tuna, ceviche tuna and the surf and turf.
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
Tourist Trap!!!!! Do not waste your time, overpriced drinks and food for charter boats. Do not waste your time or money at Limeout.
google avatar

Candace G.

Yelp
Such a cool place. Highly recommend. Fish taco delicious. Others had the short rib tacos and raves about them. I did order the new menu item - cauliflower taco - don't recommend. It was mush rather than pieces of cauliflower. I think the need to do pieces. Would be much better with the texture.
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
I live in Southern California and to say I've had my fair share of tacos would be an understatement. Also, I was a little out of my comfort zone ordering the gourmet type taco from a taco boat... but WOW was I surprised with my very first bite. It was nothing less than amazing! Everything was perfect in that taco and honestly it was the best I've ever had. I ordered the Surf and Turf and loved it so much, ended up ordering another one because I knew I'd probably never have a chance to get one again. I would highly recommend this experience for anyone who's on the water in St John you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Who doesn't love clear blue waters, Sun shining, and TACOS! Lime Out is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Got a boat, kayak, paddleboard whatever you need to make your way out to enjoy the experience. Once out there the staff is very helpful with tieing up your boats, hop off and grab a seat along the boat where they have seats attached for sitting or ask for a floating seat. They had 2 large floating mats in the water aswell. Good for sitting, using it as a table, or the kids loved it for a slip and slide. The Tacos where delicious, a little greasy but the taste was amazing. Bring a cup, or borrow one of theres. They serve alcohol, fresh juices, and of Course Tacos
google avatar

Caroline H.

Yelp
literally so glad we found this place. We rented a charter for the day and lime out was one place we just had to stop at! We actually ordered delivery to our boat so we didn't have to paddle board over and wait. The food was outstanding and it really was a great experience all around.

Lauren S.

Yelp
Such a fun concept, and the food and drinks are truly delicious! We visited via a catamaran trip we booked out of the Westin. My only wish is that they would have a few more taco options that are not spicy.
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
What a bummer - we weren't able to go here during Covid because they stopped the cheaper boat taxis and required people to rent boats for a few hours at a time. We did hear that you might be able to catch someone with a skiff willing to bring you out there. They don't allow kayaks or swimming which just means that unless you have an actual boat, you aren't getting service. It is usually very busy and there can be waits. I was just frustrated because if I rent a boat, I want to take it out of the harbor...not to a restaurant that I could swim to in my sleep.

Yelp
Lime Out exceeded our expectations. I had read about this place in the Virgin Islands Cruising Guide, then researched it on Insta and You Tube. The tacos are hearty and filling (not small like street tacos). We tried the Green Curry, Shrimp, Rib and the Surf and Turf. The Rib and the Surf and Turf tacos were OUTSTANDING. Cool concept to put the cocktails in a metal tumbler to keep them icy cold. Credit card deposit required upon ordering but refunded when tumbler returned. Great experience, great people watching, great food, great drinks, great merch! Totally worth the effort of getting to Coral Bay to check it out.
