LimeRock Inn
Rockland, Maine
This Victorian B&B was the second stop on our recent vacation in Maine.
It is conveniently located a block and a half from the main street in Rockland which has many cafes and galleries and is within walking distance from the Farnsworth Art Museum. The Inn also has convenient on premises off street parking.
Our room, on the first floor, was the Grand Manan. It was spacious, with a comfortable king bed, lots of windows, and ample room for hanging clothes. The appointments in our room were gorgeous.
This Inn was originally the home and office of a local physician. Our room was his office. An adjacent public room was his waiting room. All of the public rooms, including the dining room, were spacious and decorated for the period of the home.
Our host, Analysa could easily be a decorator in another life, if she chose to do so. She also shared valuable information about what to see and do in the Rockland-Camden area of Maine, as well as dining suggestions in and around the area.
Analysa was most accommodating and her breakfasts were extraordinary, delicious and filling. One morning we met some other guests, a mother & daughter, who were traveling to the eastern most point in the US on the Maine coast, Lubec & the West Quoody Head Light House. We spent an hour talking with them that morning.
The Lime Rock Inn will be on our list for our next trip to the Maine coast.
