Super area outside to sit, relax, listen to music. The view on the vineyard is beautiful. In terms of wine, I especially liked the Dolcetto. It's a red wine slightly sweet but an amazing spice taste for me Especially cardamom, nutmeg and cinnamon.

This place was amazing. The views are incredible. Live guitar being played over speakers as you enter the area. Don’t be scared of the drive in…its a little rough. My little compact suv made it. 😄

Lovely private veranda seating overlooking the vineyard. Fresh, crisp, delicious wines and generous charcuterie plate with a good selection of cheese, nuts, crisps and jam. The view from the quiet shaded deck alone is worth the trip. Very nice knowledgeable and attentive staff in large cooled tent with lots of seating throughout the property. Clean indoor restrooms on back of barn. Will return. This is a hidden gem off the beaten path.

Christa is lovely and we had a great time chatting with her during our tasting! Definitely recommend stopping by here. Great service and delicious wine!

My friends, husband, and I went to this winery over the weekend for a getaway. We did a tasting, and then enjoyed a bottle of wine out on the patio. The staff was super friendly, the wines were delicious, the atmosphere was so nice and relaxing, and we had a great time!! Loved the patio overlooking the vineyards too, such a pretty view. We will definitely be back!!

My husband and I stopped here for a glass of wine with our baby. We were looking forward to getting out of the house and our baby likes to get out too. There were two ladies at the bar serving the wine who weren't very welcoming. It seemed like they were annoyed we brought our baby. They told us we should check beforehand with wineries if babies are welcome. We even sat outside with no one else around so he wouldn't bother them in case he got fussy. Wine was ok. Nothing special. 12/16/2024 Update after seeing response. This was not meant for another winery. This review was based on our experience from a month or 2 ago.

We are members at this lovely winery. I can't wait for our Fredericksburg area friends to join us when the winery opens their new location!

My family and I originally were planning on going to another winery in the area but it happened to be closed and got referred to this one. Darryl, one of the workers at the winery, was so nice and very knowledge about the wineries! It is a beautiful view as well. Definitely worth the drive from Austin!

Yelp
Color me impressed! I came to this location this past weekend with my partner. This was one of the three stops we made on Saturday. What I like about small vineyards is they have the freedom to experiment and create a variety of wines and blends using different varieties and winemaking styles. This innovation leads to fresh and evolving tasting experiences that keep wine interesting, exciting, and perhaps most importantly, personal. Small vineyards also focus on quality and sustainable farming, and produce smaller quantities of wine. This locally owned small vineyard has bold reds and crisp whites and breathtaking views at sunset. For my partner, I purchased a bottle of the 2019 Mourvèdre. This vino is smokey and bold with cholocatre undertones. This vino will pair well with steak and other red meats. While I am not a fan of reds, the quality and legs on this vino is undeniable. I purchased a glass of 2021 Barrel Aged Trebbiano which was reminiscent of a Cabernet Sauvignon blanc. Cabernet Blanc wines have a flavor profile that's similar to a mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. They can be dry, but some are made to be slightly sweet. This Trebbiano was more dry that sweet which I adore. Aside from the vinos, the sunset views when sitting on the deck are stunning. My partner and I sat and watched the sun go down with glasses in hand. The vino coupled with the views made this outing magical. The service provided by those working here is outstanding. #supportlocal

Yelp
Absolutely lovely service, very informational, the owners are so sweet, love to converse with the customers and will bring the wine to you for the tastings! It was so so hot outside making more comfortable inside no matter what, just wish there was a little bit more shaded seating outside. All of the wine was delicious, and we ended up taking some home! Would love to come back

Yelp
The server was very nice but the ambiance in the smaller house was only ok. They have a nice patio overlooking the vines but it was not open yet. If you go, call to ask which areas are open.

Yelp
Very expensive! They did have two price points for tastings $50 and $30. We opted for the $30 and then moved on. Our service was good and she even told us that they have sold and are looking for a new property for their winery.

Yelp
This is a wonderful place to visit. It's a little bit off the beaten path which is nice. Savanna and Alicia were our hosts. We had a group of 9 and two babies and they were incredibly accommodating and attentive. They were friendly and made it an enjoyable experience for all.

Yelp
A bus full of my friends and I were turned away since we arrived 15 minutes before closing. We assured the host we can get in and out of there in a few minutes but they were locking up when we pulled in. A shame since this is the only winery we haven't tried in the area and not likely to try again! Sad experience!

Yelp
The view is amazing. The staff are very friendly. The view and staff are the reason for the stars. 25 dollars each for an extremely small sip of 5 wines on a pre-printed menu. You don't get to chose your tastings. I'm very sad to say the wines weren't impressive at all.

Yelp
Don't count on the hours listed as times they are open to be valid even if you call for reservations. Pulled up in a bus at 5:10 and he said they were closing even though we had a bus with reservations for 12 people and we said we could easily be done by their closing time at 5:30. And promised to guarantee that. He refused and locked the door and left. Far before closing time. Quite rude and quite a loss of business. In addition to that, when I posted this review on Google the owner asked me to email him with full information. Which I did 24 hours ago. My email was ignored. So I feel pretty positive that post was just to appear concerned, but that it was actually the owner heading out early and turning away what would have been frequent consumers. And wine reviewers. Not an employee.

Yelp
Great staff and lovely vibes. Wine was a bit pricey but i enjoyed my time here. Wasn't too hot the day i went and i even saw a cute little frog. The drive to the vineyard was very winding but it was worth it. Drive slow and carefully. Didn't catch the gentleman's name outside on the balcony overlooking the vineyard but he was very sweet and caring. Gave us plenty of recommendations and checked on us several times and even gave us recommendations for things to do around wimberley

Yelp
Great little hidden place with pretty vines all around! The Mrs and I were pleasantly surprised!

Yelp
The views are breathtaking, the wines are fantastic and staff are very friendly. From the whites to rosé and reds, the wines are delightful. Likes them so much that I became a wine club member. Looking forward to returning and introducing friends to this winery.

Yelp
I made a little daytrip out to this winery with a friend of mine. The staff was really inviting and friendly. Some of these wine places can get a little stuffy, but this place has a much more laidback atmosphere. I did the tasting. Since they are a newer spot, some of the grapes are grown in-house and some are outsourced. We ended up getting a bottle of white wine (oaky and similar to a Chardonnay), as well as a bottle of Rosé. We had my friend's dogs with us, and everyone was visiting with them. This place is a hidden gem and absolutely worth checking out. They have such a warm vibe. Plenty of seating, as well.

Yelp
Beautiful winery, friendly staff, excellent wine! We had a nice charcuterie board. Plenty of areas to sit.

Yelp
Tucked away in the hills just north of Wimberley, is a small family boutique winery and vineyard that is a must on your wine travel itinerary. You may have to take a few careful turns along the windy unpaved road and navigate some narrow paths slowly, but you will eventually be rewarded at your destination with an oasis with majestic views and a handsome vineyard that greets you at the entrance. The original vineyard is no stranger to the Texas Hill Country AVA but succumbed to a fire during the great Texas drought of 2011. Owners Paul Dierickx and Ben Stovall had taken over the estate in 2016 and began the journey to bring wine life back to this spot. Planting top-quality Mediterranean varietals of white, rose, and reds that year, the 8-acre vineyard started to come back to life with vines of Mourvédre, Sangiovese, and Albarino. The winery's name pays homage to the limestone rock shelf that cascades downward towards the vineyard below. The first wine release and opening day was in 2020. Christine Daly helps oversee the vines and wine production. There is a large, covered area near the vineyard for tastings, but the real treat is the deck next to it overlooking the terrace and vineyard below. Tastings are done by "Wine of The Week" and rotate on a regular basis. You will get a selection of 5 wines to try from about 14 wines on their menu. For this tasting session, we enjoyed the whitetail which is a white wine blend of 34% Roussanne, 33% Trebbiano, and 33% Albarino. The wine was well balanced, medium bodied and would pair nicely with slow cooked chicken, and honestly is wonderful on its own on a warm day. The second white sampled was the 2021 Albarino. Sourced from Narra Vineyards, this jewel had great acids, some tropical and citrus notes. We moved onto the Dolcetto Rosé. Offered on tap, this easy sipper was dry with notes of cranberry, good acids, and a touch of effervescence. A 2021 estate blend Rosé of Sangiovese and Mourvedre is also available, and is a must to take home! For the reds, their 2019 Sangiovese has Texas High Plains fruit aged for 21 months in neutral oak. It's light in color, smooth to the taste, and has just enough acids to dazzle your palate. The 2020 Tempranillo was sourced from Crooked Post Vineyard of the High Plains. Aged 20 months in oak, this Texas red wine has medium tannins, along with a subtle light smoke and hint of leather. It is probably the smoothest and easiest Texas Tempranillo to sip than any other you have had. The 2019 Mourvèdre from the Texas High plains will delight the senses with red berries and moderate tannins. There is a 2020 estate Mourvèdre that you will want to make sure you try as well. The real piece de resistance was the 2020 Teraldego. This High Plains sourced fruit from Pepper Jack Vineyards had a deep dark plum color, rich berry flavors, and a nice lingering finish. It just might rival several good Cabernet Sauvignons. Growlers are available for some of the wines, with a nod to sustainability and just like in the old county, bring your empty one back for a refill. Look for the artistic "smoke" rendering on the labels that pays homage to the previous vineyard. Nothing on the menu will disappoint and this is the place to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, you just might find a new favorite to love. Everything is worth a try and a wonderful sipping experience. The beauty of these wines is that they are each entirely enjoyable. In the future the winery has plans to release a Fiano and Tannat. With the fantastic vineyard views from the terrace, fabulous wines, and excellent staff to take care of you, there is no need to rush life while you're here. Bring a picnic lunch or charcuterie snacks, friends, significant others, guests, yourself and just take a break to enjoy the great outdoors, a nice cross breeze on the deck, the vineyard views of this lovely gem and understand what "La dolce vita" is all about here. Relax, slow down and be present in the moment and one with your wine. Cheers!

Yelp
New winery, family owned and run. Limited selection of tasting to 3 that were made of Texas plains grapes but they were all good wines. The biggest attraction, which will guarantee they'll be successful is the view and gorgeous setting. They put a large deck on the hill so you can enjoy your wine while looking out at the vineyard.

Suzanne K.

Yelp
Mario was very knowledgeable, we really enjoyed ourselves. If you like dry wines, you'll love it.

Yelp
Wonderful place with some great wines! The staff was delightful and friendly. The place wasn't too crowded but they just opened in November and I think people are going to be learning about this place and packing it out very soon! They grow grapes on the property but all the wine I had was outsourced since their weren't ready yet. They had three wines to try (white, rose and red) but will be having six very soon as their home grown grapes are about ready. I enjoy dry, less sweet wines and these were perfect. Highly encourage you to put this spot on your wine tours of Wimberly! They also have some snacks/small bites if you are hungry.

Yelp
Beautiful views, great wines, great service. We were greeted by the neighbor's dog, Pluto. We then met some great people serving wine tastings and glasses. The views are unmatched. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We love coming here. Off a dirt road, tucked into a peaceful valley, the vineyard is surrounded by oaks. Very family friendly, which is rare among vineyards.

Lanie D.

Yelp
A heck of a drive, rock road as you near ... But when u get there cute atmosphere ! Beautiful vineyard for picts and I understand they have live bands towards back area .... Highly recommend!!!

Linda P.

Yelp
This vineyard is an absolute hidden gem and more than worth the drive! The tasting room staff are super friendly and explained wine in an approachable way that made the tastings really fun. There's a huge deck with a fantastic view overlooking the grape vines. The wines were really delicious, made from all Texas grapes on site. They have a small crew of folks who clearly really love making wine. They had a fun selection of whites, reds, rose, and sparkling wine. They also have a wine growler program which is quite affordable and also good for the earth! I will absolutely be back to enjoy more of these delicious wines.

Yelp
Take a venture off the main road through the countryside of the Texas Hill Country on rough roads through the forest over creeks to a beautiful vineyard covered meadow and keep going up the hill to the terrace overlooking the field and stream below. You'll have a great time.

Yelp
This is a "Hidden Gem"!!! What a wonderful winery!!! We went relatively early to avoid any crowd and the staff were welcoming and informative. They now have 4 wines and all of them were delicious. I'm not a sweet wine drinker and gratefully none of them were sweet. One crisp white, 2 rosés and a red. We left with a bottle of the red and one of the rosés too. The property and views are beautiful. They have two decks with tables and umbrellas to relax and enjoy the wine, the views, the weather and a fabulous charcuterie platter. It is a bit tricky getting there BUT it is well worth it. Don't miss this delightful vineyard!

Arely G.

Yelp
We visited on a Saturday they had live music on a patio that overlooks the vineyard with a Beautiful view. Service was amazing and the wine was great .

Sylvia R.

Yelp
We chose this winery because we saw a 5star review but found that it wasn't all that. They only offered wine tasting and no tour. The wine selection was rated at 2.5 with a group five of us. However, we highly recommend Wimberley Valley Winery. Very spontaneous, staff was very welcoming and the wine tasting was amazing.

Noel R.

Yelp
Secluded location but facilities did not meet expectations. Good service by the host but wines were below average.

Bayls C.

Yelp
What a wonderful spot! Friendly staff. Great wine. Awesome community of knowledgeable people. If you're coming for the Texas hill country winery experience, this is a must stop spot.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Great outdoor space however Texas weather needs an indoor option. The wine was ok but we did not truly enjoy it due to the heat. They have an outdoor tent with fans but it was still unbearable. There's an "estate" building that looked to be a tasting room but we couldn't understand why this wasn't utilized on such a hot day

Lizi P.

Yelp
Beautiful and quaint, a smaller winery and much more intimate. Sipping wine on the large patio deck overlooking the vineyard made for a perfect early afternoon. Charcuterie was most generous for two ladies that love cheese and their gorgeous white blends, a new favorite spot to be revisited!! Somaliere Darryl was most delightful, definitely knew how to relate the flavors of their wine and listened to accommodate our palate. Love this spot as would Bacchus!! Thank you so very much Limestone!!

Kaitlin Z.

Yelp
Owners were very welcoming and friendly. Wine was great and snacks were so tasty! They had fun games and beautiful places to hang out on the property. Definitely will return.

B. L.

Yelp
We bought the blended rose and it is wonderful! The new owners rebuilt the vineyard after a fire - it is beautiful. Definitely add this vineyard to your Texas Hill Country wine tasting tour when they are able to open. They ship wine anywhere in Texas!
