L'Impatience - Ceramic studio

The ceramic workshop was awesome. True attention to detail and care with us. It was super fun to go with my husband. We didn’t know we’d get competitive in who was the best ceramics apprentice! The shop is also great - they also sell other local artisan work - the type of place you’re trying hard not to buy everything from 🙈

Wonderful and kind people who own this shop. Great artisans who sell one of a kind pieces with lots of attention to detail. We love our ceramics from here and look forward to taking a class one day.

Absolutely love every piece L‘impatience makes. The owners are the sweetest people. Their clay throwing workshop is an absolute highlight for me and my partner of 2023, we loved it so much we will definitely be back! If you love timeless ceramics, this is for you! If you want to get your hands dirty and create your own pieces of art in a wonderful and calm setting with great people, this is for you!

I first visited this ceramics studio during Kingston's Art Walk weekend. Their studio space is inviting and surprisingly clean for a work space! Their class set-up looks ideal for sharing the experience with classmates. Their products were beautiful. The current color trend of their ceramics -- soft, almost pastel, tones really made the craftsmanship stand out -- nothing to distract from the clean lines of beautifully executed pieces. I did make a small purchase -- sorry it couldn't have been more -- but what I did bring home has pride of place on my dining table.

Lovely place, beautiful pieces and amazing workshops. Definitely recommend stopping by! Workshop turned out to be a great surprise birthday gift.

Benedicte and Jerome are so wonderful!! My husband and I took 2 classes. They were so much fun and inspiring that I took the 6 week class. It was so amazing!! Such detailed patient instruction. I was really pleased with the content and lessons. Also the weekly practice time gave me the opportunity to try (and fail) and improve. Highly recommended!! Really fun and inspiring!!

i love everything about L’Impatience. the space is gorgeous to visit and every single piece i own is a cherished part of my ceramic tableware collection. Benedicte and Jerome are both so incredibly kind, talented and genuine. i can hardly wait to take my turn on the wheel and in their class offerings with their guidance and care to lead the way.

Can't say enough about how accommodating and welcoming the owners of the studio were. They've created a space that provides all the function of a pottery studio with the highest level of design notes all throughout. Super impressive. We were even compelled to purchase one of the many unique pieces they've created on sight. Can't wait to get back there!
