Just moved in a few weeks ago, and I wanted to shout out MJ and Crystal from the management team. They have been very responsive in answering all my questions, and attentive to my concerns. When I moved in, I had an issue with my window AC unit, and they were able to correct within a few days. Renting in Denver can be stressful, but I feel like I’m in good hands with Cornerstone.

Not really happy with the space and sometimes felt like my concerns were dismissed. People who did not live in the apartment building would park in the lot leaving little to no spaces for the people that did live in the building, especially on days that it would snow. We had issues with roaches and ants. At one point during a storm, water leaked through the wall by the window. I called for maintenance and was told they would get back to me. A week had passed and nobody reached out to me to tell me what would be happening to fix the situation or what had even caused it. I called to ask these questions and was told someone did try to call me which was an absolute lie. There was no missed call, no voicemail, nothing. Overall not a great experience. *edit to add after owner’s response: I did email to address the parking issues. I was given stickers to put on cars that were parked in the lot without a permit. The towing company phone number wasn’t updated for months. I don’t think it should have been my responsibility to put stickers on cars and I also don’t think the parking lot was monitored because I kept seeing the same cars without a permit parked there. As for the roach issue, I didn’t need to put in a request because there was an apartment wide email sent about fumigation happening due to one of the apartments being infested. I sent emails to the property manager when we found a few roaches in our apartment. That whole situation was just frustrating as they were insisting on fumigating when I had a newborn baby. The issue with the leak was marked as “resolved” which was crazy to me because no one had told me anything about how it was resolved. I had to do follow up. Also, make sure you follow up to ensure that they have proof of renters insurance. We sent in the proof a few months before the new year and once 2025 started we were getting charged for their renters insurance even though we had coverage.

I've lived here for 2.5 years in a basement studio and overall a positive experience. Except for the occasional bowling marathon of my upstairs neighbors, it was very quiet and peaceful living here. Most of the maintenance issues I've experienced are addressed quickly and effectively by Cornerstone. The area does come with its safety concerns but that is most of Denver now. Don't let them catch you slipping! Ultimately, I think the rent is a bit high for a tiny studio with no natural light which is why I'm moving on.

Lived here for a year and had a mostly positive experience. The rent is very affordable for the amazing location on the border of Wash Park West and South Broadway. It’s within walking distance to Washington Park, Whole Foods, Safeway, and many great restaurants on Broadway. I only had 2 minor maintenance issues which were resolved within the next 1-2 days. The staff at the leasing office are also very friendly and helpful. The parking is not covered and is first come for first serve for residents. This is normally not an issue except for certain nights when it’s full and you need to park 1-2 blocks away on a residential street. Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the unassigned parking and some of the units not having A/C or modern appliances as of this post.

Leasing company doesn't answer phone. Temps inside regularly over 100°. Rent increases hundreds of dollars per year. Unsafe gas stoves regularly cause injuries/burns when not even turned on, a serious legal, fire, & safety issue, to the point where WATER BOILS on stove when stove isn't even on, & stovetop burns hands/arms at a slight touch. Again, when turned OFF & not turned on for days. And half the stove (2 burners) don't even turn on, because the pilot lights are out. Super safe (not). Cornerstone knows about all of this, doesn't care, & won't fix. Lock for outside door constantly breaking, & doors of units literally don't have doors that lock. I'm not kidding. Not all tenants can even lock their apt doors. Parking lot unenforced, causing tenants who pay for parking having to park on streets & get parking tickets.
