Lincoln Downs Resort

Unfortunately, my stay at Lincoln Downs Batemans Bay was extremely disappointing. From the moment I entered the room, there was a strong mildew smell, and the air-conditioning unit was constantly leaking water. When I informed reception, the only response was “thanks for letting us know,” with no effort to address the issue.||Dinner was equally poor. I had to request a new plate because the original one still had food residue on it. The replacement plate was brought over pressed against the waitress’s clothing, which was far from hygienic. While the meals looked well-presented, the food itself was a mix of cold and warm on the same plate. The seafood tasted off, and the scallops were frozen in the middle. When we queried this, the chef admitted they were frozen, despite being in a coastal town known for fresh seafood.||Breakfast did not improve the experience. The selection was extremely basic, the fruit was slimy, and I ended up only having a piece of toast. When we ordered takeaway coffees, I received mine, but my colleague was told they couldn’t provide one because they had run out of takeaway cups.||The photos online are also misleading—the “lake” pictured as a beautiful feature looks much more like a swamp in person. And guests should be aware that there are no lifts, meaning you will likely need to carry your luggage upstairs.||Overall, this stay fell well below expectations, both in comfort and service. I would not recommend Lincoln Downs based on this experience.

Absolutely gorgeous resort! Very happy with our stay so far, the staff are accommodating and have gone out of their way to assist with anything we need. The rooms are spacious and clean and the resort in general is stunning! Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Batemans Bay.

The resort and hotel is gorgeous. The room was very comfortable, stylish and clean with a great bathroom. The staff are lovely and always looking to help and brilliant to chat to, and the food is delicious. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

We stayed in the family suite and the room was clean, spacious and had direct access to the lake which kids really enjoyed. We loved the pool too, spent many hours in there. Staff were all friendly. Overall great stay and we will be back!

We stayed for a couple of nights as a weekend getaway; we got a great deal inclusive of cheese and wine and full breakfast. Food was good with generous helpings, and a decent range of choices to suit all palates. The room was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable and Wifi had a good connection. The staff were friendly and accommodating to our needs without fuss. It was just outside the main town so quiet and peaceful, something that you would not get being in town. We would definitely go back again and would highly recommend we had a lovely relaxing break.

The bathroom can be cold in winter because of a fix opened small window. The noise level was surprisingly low given how close it is to the highway. The location is perfect. Unfortunately there was a cockroach on the bed and the blanket and one bath towel had blood stain (I understand that it’s difficult to get rid of the stain).

I was extremely happy with the service provided by the management team. The overall experience was excellent and very well handled. I would especially like to acknowledge Amiel, the manager, who was exceptionally professional, courteous, and supportive throughout. His positive attitude and attention to detail truly made a difference. Highly recommended for outstanding service.

Excellent resort just out of Batemans Bay city with water views and wildlife. Large rooms with proper fridge, which is handy. Front of room parking and great conference, dining facilities. Competitive prices for the rooms. Friendly staff and great service offered. Nice walking area around the lake

Summary: Great beds, renovated rooms, great food, reasonably priced, slow wifi Our stay here was a one-night stop over between Sydney and Merimbula. The grounds and room were very relaxing. We stayed in a King Suite (building 1, room 8) with our toddler and it was very reasonably priced for the area, amenities, and quality of the renovations. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room also came with a sofa/pull-out bed for our toddler. We opted to eat at the on-site restaurant for dinner and the food was amazing. The portion size was great and the flavors were fantastic. We have had a good number of questionable meals at hotel restaurants and this was a very welcome reprieve. We'd stop here again just for the food...it was that good! The dinner was a higher priced meal, but the presentation of the dishes, attentiveness of the staff, and overall quality of the food were well worth the higher sticker price. WiFi was a bit slow. It worked on our mobile devises, but not on my laptop. This is not the fault of Lincoln Downs, but should be noted. We could also hear a little road noise from our room, but it didn't keep us awake at night.

A lovely place for a little getaway! Hammocks by the pond and the cabanas by the pool are great to get your chill on. Also here in December...its scorching in Canberra, so it's nice to get a bit of a reprieve by the coast.
