Lincoln House Hotel

Perfect location to explore Cardiff, with ample parking in the carpark or on street. Staff were very helpful and friendly and there was plenty of choice for breakfast which was delicious. Our room was clean and spacious, tv with free view was appreciated, and tea and coffee facilities were provided. Bathroom had towels provided along with shower gel and hand wash. The hotel is very unique throughout and we appreciated all it's original charm. Staff made our stay enjoyable, we will definitely be back!

This hotel offers a charming, comfortable stay with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are clean and well-kept, and the location in Pontcanna is perfect for exploring Cardiff. Breakfast is tasty, though a bit more variety would make it even better. Overall, a delightful stay!

Me and my dad adored staying in this hotel. The area as well as the hotel were both equally beautiful and its location was convenient thanks to be near the city centre. Addition to the bus stops (Beverly Hotel & Berthwin Street) and it is just perfect. The room was clean and kept its Victorian charm while having a touch of modernity to accommodate modern day. The service was impeccable thanks to the staff's hospitality, enthusiasm and professionalism. I would recommend this hotel vividly especially for senior because of the anti-slip mat and the grip bar in the bathroom. Thanks for your service. :)

It was a really lovely experience, calming atmosphere, loved the Myddfai toiletries, soft, crisp linens and towels. The breakfast was incredible, so much choice, I had fresh fruit salad: kiwi, tangerine, watermelon, grapes, apple, variety of berries and orange juice. Delicious heap of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and no rush at all to eat it! PS. Could do with bathroom floor tiles re- grouting and the shower head deep cleaned to get rid of black mould. Also bathroom shelf was wobbly!

Came for the Katie Hopkins show. Beautiful Victorian building, complete original features, very clean and tidy, beautiful four poster bed and amazing bay windows.||Only negative but this is being picky. TV needed an up date, dust on the top of bed.||Breakfast was very very good 👍🏻

Its a guest house not a hotel. The rooms are small the bathroom in particular is extremely small. No telephone in room, very steep stairs no elevator, limited tv channels. The breakfast however was extremely good as were the restaurant (front room) staff. The owner has had a charisma by-pass. Adequate car park but the rear access is unkempt and unsafe.

We loved our stay here! Such an incredible area and the decor was so unique. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend paying for the breakfast as an extra, but worth going if it’s included with your room (as it was with ours). Overall really happy with our experience and will be recommending it to friends.

Nice place on wonderful Cathedral road in walking distance to good pubs and the City Centre. The staff is absolutly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Great that it has its own parking place in the backyard! The rooms are comfortably and clean. I would have given 5 Stars, but if there is no Hotel Bar, than a little fridge in the rooms could be helpful.

When my boyfriends parent come to visit this is the only place they want to stay these days. It offers total luxury at a very reasonable price and the cooked breakfasts are amazing with so much choice. We didn't even stay with the in-laws but they were happy for us to come and join them for breakfast (we did have to pay, but it was worth it). The hotel has a very Victorian feel and all the rooms are tastefully decorated to fit with period. They even opted for extra luxury last time and had a four poster bed! The Penthouse suite is the only exception. Its very modern. Its only a short walk through the park to get into the city centre and it benefits from free parking too. Its not like all the other chain hotels, every room is unique and your made to feel special.

What a beautiful little hotel in walking distance to the castle. They have a small carpark at the back which was nice because finding street parking was difficult in many areas. The rooms are up kept and perfect for a couple nights in the area. The breakfast was very good and included. The service here is what really made the difference. The mature gentleman was very excited to share suggestions and talk about his lovely city! They gave us excellent recommendations several times for food that was always right on! Each day they gave us directions and info on where we were going and were very nice. The room was taken care of each day while we were out and the room was very good size for Europe. There is a nice sitting room and overall it was a really nice place to stay. Cardiff was also a good home base for our exploring of this part of Wales. We were driving distance to many different castles, we explored Tintern Abbey, Pembroke Castle, Cardiff Castle, and Raglan Castle all from here.

My family and I stayed here for only one night and it was really nice! The room and bathroom was very big and clean. The breakfast had many different options and was very good! The hotel was very easy to find and the customer service was outstanding!

My partner and I stayed at the Lincoln for two nights on a trip to Cardiff. Familiar with the city, we wanted to stay in Cathedral Rd, as it is an ideal base for getting around and far enough from the hustle and bustle. The town is merely a 10 min walk through Sophia gardens. A lovely, comfortable hotel and refreshingly modest. The highlight for us was the breakfast and the quiet, relaxing feel to this hotel.

Very friendly welcome. The building is stunning and the rooms and furniture have character that is hard to match. Great breakfast too.

Good comfortable place, all the extras you expect of a higher priced hotel, WiFi, freeview etc. Quiet location (as long as you don't get a front room), walk through bute park to get to the city. Great breakfast too, recommended!
