"Another spot on the island where people will wait in line to eat at."

We stopped in for breakfast and it was bustling inside even though it was off season. Hubby ordered bacon scrambled eggs and gluten free toast. I ordered the breakfast scrambler with American cheese instead of provolone cheese and a grilled English muffin. It was a cute little downtown location and the servers all work together to take care of customers. The food was good and came out really quick. We are glad we stopped in.

I ate here three times for breakfast while on the island. If I had discovered this place sooner, I would have eaten here every day. The fact that they have perfected the art of getting the pancakes to your table while they are piping hot deserves 5 stars. The pancakes are also so good! They remind me of what IHOP used to be when I was growing up. Ask for maple syrup if you prefer that. I wish I lived closer to this spot because it would be my local favorite ❤️.

We had a memorable dinner here last weekend. The food was excellent; Kay (our server) was professional, thorough, efficient, charmingly funny, and warm; the setting is quaint; and we were happy to support a Black-owned business. We shared the Buffalo chicken spring rolls (surprisingly good), and each had a side Caesar salad and fish and chips. The fish and chips were a very large portion that we couldn’t finish after the spring rolls and side salads. We took the leftovers home and ate them the next day and it was still delicious.

Looks like a local favorite. Friendly servers and customers. Fish and chips with side of slaw was a reasonable $18. Bottomless coffee/tea $3 more. The cod was hot and flaky, excellent. Quite busy during meal time

I had breakfast that was so good I didn’t make time to take a picture ! Espresso martini was 10/10. Hospitality was 11/10! The whole island is so spiritual and beautiful

Loved this breakfast spot open early hours with a solid menu.. The hash and omelets always a good choice. I heard the waffle was good too....

Looking for a quiet, intimate spot for breakfast, lunch, or early dinner? Linda Jean's is NOT it. But if you're looking for an outstanding home style meal, there is no better place to go than Linda Jean's in Oak Bluffs. I had the 3 piece fried chicken plate, with a generous helping of cole slaw and mashed potatoes smothered in brown gravy: superb! My other half had the fried chicken sandwich and fries: equally tasty. Two BIG lunchtime meals and 2 bottomless sodas, came to just under $60 with tip. But we won't need a big dinner after this meal. The best fried chicken we've had in years!

I patronized this business on October 30th around 6:30pm. When I arrived, I immediately was greeted with lackluster customer service - from the host and especially from my waitress (throughout the night she kept asking did I want a to go box). I ordered the fish cakes for appetizer- it was good. I ordered the oxtails with rice and beans and cabbage - it was not good. When it came out, it looked overcooked. The meat was tender, but the taste was awful - the food had no flavor and the meat had a funny taste to it - like it was cleaned with dishwashing soap. I could not eat it. I then just ordered the sweet potato cheesecake- that was good. Well, apparently what I did eat of the oxtails gave me food poisoning. Around midnight that night I was vomiting off and on the food til that morning with diarrhea! I can not nor will I visit that establishment again!

Yelp
Wow. This was a perfect breakfast. The pancakes were akin to cracker barrel, who I think does pancakes the best. You get a lot in one serving, and melted butter is already sitting on top. They were both perfectly fluffy and crispy, the best combination. Don't even get me started on the hashbrowns, they were perfect!!

Yelp
I recently dined at Linda Jean Restaurant on Martha's Vineyard and had a wonderful experience. The menu offered a variety of dishes, and I decided to try the crab cakes and a mushroom burger, both of which were excellent. The crab cakes were delicious, served with a fresh and crisp salad that complemented the flavors perfectly. The mushroom burger was equally impressive, accompanied by a side of fries that balanced the dish well. We also enjoyed some unique cocktails with coffee flavors like espresso which was great. Overall, Linda Jean Restaurant provided a great dining experience with its tasty food and creative drink options. If you're on Martha's Vineyard, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal.

Yelp
Linda Jeans is one of my favorite breakfast spots on Martha's Vineyard! Their pancakes, bacon, and eggs are my go-to dish, and they never disappoint. I've been coming here for years, and the consistency in quality is impressive. The service is always friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. It's a popular place, so be prepared for a wait, but it's definitely worth it. The restaurant is kid-friendly, making it a great choice for families. I also appreciate that it's black-owned, and they do a fantastic job taking care of all their customers. Remember, they only serve breakfast and lunch, so plan your visit accordingly!

Yelp
Went on a Sunday afternoon it was very busy! We took our food to go to avoid the wait. I got the biscuit sandwich with sausage egg and cheese and my bf got the Alabama. Food was tasty no complaints from us would def recommend for a decent breakfast.

Yelp
There was one waiting at 9am and seating was available for 2 and 4 people. The counter had several seats free as well. My server was friendly and helpful although the hostess was not at the front desk and frowning when I approached her to ask for a table for one. I had the Lobster Benny which had an ample amount of lobster. The homemade hollandaise sauce was on the bland side but still okay. This was a heavy breakfast but I was excited to try it. I made a good choice but next time I'll be sure to order it to share! (It's now 2pm and the meal is still sitting in my stomach.) This place is one of the best places to eat in Oak Bluffs with plenty of choices. Just be sure you go after the breakfast rush and before they close at 2pm. (Check the hours because they do serve dinner on certain days.)

Yelp
Linda Jean's is an institution that will remain with a waitlist for as long as the island gets tourist traffic. That said, the food is just fine; the service is excellent (usually) and is trained to compel the churn, and the space is very diner-y. I just can't get behind any of the specific dishes. It's all Sysco food, which is fine, but not at island prices. Give me a signature dish! GIVE ME SOMETHING NEW. I'll still eat here, but I won't go laying down prophecy to friends and neighbors about the wonder of Linda Jean's: it's just okay.

Yelp
Nice cozy home style place, food was just ok. Eggs were not to my liking overcooked bacon was cold. Bread was a bit hard. Sandwich tasted like a fast food style sandwich. Nothing special. Staff were not overly friendly.

Yelp
I've walked by this restaurant several times when I visit Oak Bluffs, but never went in. Yesterday, my friend suggested we eat here, so we went in and were seated pretty quickly despite it being pretty full. Our server was very friendly, and the menu had some good lunch options. My friend and I were dead-set on eating a lobster roll, and thankfully, they had a lobster roll on their menu. We each ordered one, and had chicken fingers as an appetizer. The tenders were the perfect size, and cooked well. The lobster roll were also pretty good in my book. There were huge cuts of lobster meat in the roll, and I ordered mine toasted with butter. I've had tastier lobster roll before, and I think it might be because I've ordered it cold before with mayo and I didn't like it as much toasted. I did like that the roll also came with a side of fries and coleslaw, and the price point for all that food was pretty reasonable as lobster rolls can get pretty pricey. They also have a bottomless drink menu for $3 to get an assortment of beverages which I thought was pretty sweet. I would definitely continue to eat here next time when I come back to MV!

Yelp
We were there at lunch time. I had the seafood platter which came out hot and fast. The clam chowder was also good. While this is in a tourist area. It, was not as touristy as others around. The service was prompt and it was clean and comfortable.

Yelp
It was a fairly normal breakfast, nothing to rave about. We were there in early November so many places were closed but perk was there was no line. Good service and delish cornbread was all to remember.

Yelp
Linda Jeans is definitely a staple in OB, the wait for a party of 5 was about 30-45 minutes. To waste time we walked around circuit ave for a little. Myself and two other family members got the French toast, one strawberry and the other cinnamon swirl. The strawberry French toast seemed to be hit but the cinnamon swirl was disappointing. The cinnamon was not overwhelming but also the French toast just lacked flavor. The syrup also tasted like it was missing something definitely wasn't maple syrup I'm use to. For the price you do get a lot of food, four thick brioche slices. Though the cinnamon swirl French toast wasn't anything to write home to mom about, the chicken apple sausages were really tasty and my family thought their regular sausage was also really good. Another family member had the fried chicken and waffle and said the chicken was bland and needed more salt. Drinks: I wanted the prickly pear mimosa but they were out so I got the peach and it was good. The servers were sweet and accommodating.

Yelp
Absolutely loved the breakfast here. Must try the the breakfast burrito... It was huge and extremely filling served with a side of potatoes. Also tried the special of banana bread, French toast. Very light not too sweet and tasted amazing. Now onto my favorite was the nutty Jamaican. I'm trying to recreate it now for thanksgiving weekend with the family.

DeAnna G.

Yelp
We came in for a quick breakfast in between getting off the boat and going on the island tour. We were seated immediately and our food arrived quickly. I had the breakfast sandwich with sausage patty and my son had the two pancakes, two scrambled eggs, and two apple sausages. I'm not sure he received the right sausages? The coffee was really good and very hot. Service was great and we were in/out quickly

Yelp
Solid breakfast place. Southern fried chicken smothered white gravy . Cmon mayn!! ;) Would give 5 stars why no breakfast All Day?!? You're only open till like 2..why not just serve breakfast 2 extra hours ? Idk Corporate decisions I guess ..lol

Yelp
Last month on June 15, 2024, I ordered a Shrimp Scampi and a Coke from Linda Jeans. The Bill total came to $33.15. I gave the Waitress $40.00 in cash; I supposed to receive $6.85 in change back but I only got back $6.00 even. The waitress kept my .85 cents. When I email the owners about this, I got a response from one of the owners Lisa Christie. She could not believe I was making such a big deal over .85 cents and was defending her waitress actions of taking my money. I have the email as proof if she comes on here and denies this. I will not be going back there ever again and strongly advise your readers to stay away that place! If they will rip me off out of .85 cents and defend the rip off, then they will rip you off as well! Look deep before you leap!

Yelp
Perfect brunch spot. It was busy when we arrived yet they offered us 4 spots at bar counter so we were seated right away. Service was friendly and fast. They got one of our orders wrong but quickly replaced it. We had waffles, omelet, chicken fried steak, mimosa and coffee with Irish whiskey. Everything tasted delicious and hit the spot. We left satisfied and full. The interior had a very comfortable and lively vibe.

Reginald D.

Yelp
A hardy breakfast to begin the day. Glad lady suggested an adult coffee-we are on vacation. Waitress suggested we get Winston's and we did!

Yelp
This is a full service restaurant with a diner-like vibe. We came here for Saturday brunch and the place did not disappoint. Ordered the Jamaican coffee, healthy start with English muffin, and the ham Benny. The highlight of the meal was the ham Benny which came covered with melted cheese. Although not the most healthy of choices, it tasted delicious! The coffee smelled great, however, tasted pretty average. The healthy start was a good brunch dish too and came loaded with veggies and greens. The place is spacious and is located close to the bus station and the steamship ferry docking point. It's affordable and totally worth the price. Staff is cordial.

Mrs S.

Yelp
We came here for lunch time, so they were relatively busy. The waiter quickly came and took our order, it was okay, no so friendly and she spilled water saying nothing! I was bit offended, but i didn't say anything. Foods ( healthy start which was vegetable scrambled eggs )were good except the bread were saturated with butter. surprisingly they asked for "additional tips " after regular Tip!
google avatar

Adrienne N.

Yelp
The service was pretty quick despite how crowded they are. We got lucky and were seated right away at 1pm on a Saturday. Our waitress was very friendly. The food is about average though for a touristy area however you get a good portion despite the price. Breakfast is served until 2pm. I got a lobster roll for my meal and it was okay. It's a good portion for $29 and comes with fries and coleslaw. But like other reviews said, the lobster doesn't taste fresh. I'd suggest getting either the mayo style lobster roll or something else on the menu.

Yelp
Linda Jeans is a nice breakfast spot in Oak Bluffs. I enjoyed the corn beef hash and my wife enjoyed her omelette. I was disappointed in the French toast. It's just basic bread and the custard was cooked on top of the toast instead of letting it soak through the bread. I was tasting stale bread under the custard that sat on top of the bread. Outside of that service was great and staff were friendly. Also a nice diner ambiance.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
It was okay. We got eggs Benedict and that was pretty good. One of the eggs were overcooked so that was a bummer but nonetheless, still tasty. Loved the hollandaise and home fries were good. We also ordered blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs. The scrambled eggs were super weird. They were undercooked and small portion. The pancakes were super good though! Tons of blueberries. We also got a bowl of fruit which was surprisingly the downer of the breakfast. It just didn't seem that fresh and was such a small portion. Just not worth it. The server wasn't the nicest and just seemed really cold but she got the entire order correct so I do appreciate that.

Yelp
In the turkey club, turkey is barely existent. Service is fast, clean, friendly loved the fries
google avatar

Jacquie C.

Yelp
Good consistent breakfast options. We ate here 3 mornings and enjoyed our meals. Fast and efficient service. Feels clean and cozy. There is a full bar and they serve lunch and dinner, which we never tried.
google avatar

Yelp
Order the lobster Benny. It's delicious! The service is friendly. Sit at the counter and you'll get to chat with the locals.

Yvonne B.

Yelp
Very good recommendation from our driver. It was so good we went back the next day Variety of menu choices for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Everything tasted good...oxtails, chicken wings, salmon, fried chicken & cabbage. Oh, the peanut butter pie topped it off! Give them a try when you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

Jessica H.

Yelp
The food was good, especially the breakfast food. We went there for breakfast and lunch. The service was not great. The servers did a lot of standing around chatting with each other.

Frantz O.

Yelp
Good food & really good service today. Had not been there in some time but service for a big Sincerely Sunday morning was great. Really enjoyed our breakfast.

Karen S.

Yelp
Friendly servers and good food! Pancakes are delicious and servings are large. Fresh blueberries made them extra special. Everything we ordered was really good and I will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
To start their food is decent. Since you can't find many diner spots on the island it's solid for the food alone. But given my recent experience with the service I have to say I will not be giving them my money again. The waitress was rude from the star and irritated when we asked for water...then she complained that I ordered too much food and made a scene to the point where 3 different staff members said the same thing to me. Mind you we ordered 4 items for 3 people....strange but alright. They then messed up the receipt 3 times and it was ridiculous. Unprofessional, fair to midland food, I wish restaurant rescue would do an episode on the joke of a management they have interacting with the public.

John H.

Yelp
We were in the door at 7AM when they opened, and as soon as we sat down, they started blaring a local pop music station - not background music, but LOUD. I did politely ask the server to "turn it down just a bit," which she did, but shortly after, the other server or cook cranked it up again. Instead of enjoying a leisurely breakfast we rushed through the meal just to escape the loud music. Needless to say, we won't return and won't recommend this place. The owners/management of this place need to figure out how NOT to repel customers.
google avatar

Carissa S.

Yelp
The service was great and the staff was attentive: 5 stars there. The food and drinks were definitely subpar (for the most part); we got an order of eggs Benedict and the Ruben. The Ruben was tasty, but everything else was bland and even the fries felt underwhelming. It's very touristy and though it's featured on a couple blogs here and there it is definitely a pass. The ambiance is busy and fast paced.

Yelp
Went for lunch with family everything was hot perfect or better than expected !! I always recommend if asked where to eat around town

Angela S.

Yelp
An omelette so good you don't need to put hot sauce on it is an omelette worth writing a review for. The classic western is 10/10 the best omelette I've ever had.

Jinshi C.

Yelp
Good food for brunch. We waited a bit to be seated (understandably during Labor Day weekend). Personally it takes a bit too long to get our food served. One caveat is that on the bill the recommended tip is AFTER TAX (which is stated explicitly). Not sure that's how tip works though.
google avatar

Yelp
During a quick trip to Martha's Vineyard, I had my eyes set on experiencing Linda Jean's asap. I ended up trying this place out and it did not disappoint! They were friendly and attentive and the food was so good! They only had lobster in at the time. So I ended up getting a Lobster casserole which was loaded with sooooo much lobster meat! I got a super buttery, fluffy biscuit and a side of sausage gravy on the side and I swear that I could have drank that gravy like water! Everything was delish and I will definitely make this place a staple for when I return!

Yelp
Based on the reviews, I knew I wanted to try this place. I added myself to the virtual waitlist, around 11:20, and the wait time was quoted at about 40 minutes. However it was actually over 80 minutes- we were not seated until after 12:45. The restaurant also stopped taking waitlist names shortly after I did the waitlist. The restaurant was one of the loudest restaurants I've ever been to, as there were multiple big groups and the people in one group were basically shouting. You are jam packed into the restaurant and there's no walls to serve as sound barriers, so I left with a headache. I ordered the lobster Benedict (special; $29.99). There was copious amounts of lobster BUT it was not fresh. Lobster is my favorite food and I know what fresh shucked tastes like. This was not fresh shucked. The hollandaise sauce was also very lemony. My friend got the cod cake benny, which she enjoyed and a Bloody Mary. Overall it was ok but not anywhere I have any desire to return to. If you do want to check it out, make sure to add yourself to the virtual waitlist, we'll before you want to actually eat.

Yelp
Really enjoyed lunch here The service was great and the food was great. The Reuben is awesome and their fries were to die for. Breakfast looks good too

Sarah B.

Yelp
Loooong wait on a Sunday, but food was pretty good and not too too expensive. Pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were cooked correctly, and a toasted biscuit with butter is always a great treat. The food was a little cool when it came out so that wasn't perfect, but overall a solid breakfast/brunch option in OB.

Katherine L.

Yelp
This year was our first time eating breakfast at Linda Jean's The service & food was excellent. We were very pleased & will definitely return
google avatar

Khalilah B.

Yelp
Two words: Seafood Casserole! Stopped in before our return trip on the ferry and the line was out the door. Luckily we had a small party and were immediately seated. We ordered the blueberry and peach pancakes, the Alabama special, and the Seafood casserole. All were delicious with great portions and reasonable prices for the island. Will definitely return
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
A long time local MV'er recommended this restaurant for breakfast and it was DELICIOUS. The Service was fantastic. Our waitress was from Australia and was just lovely. She guided us to the right choices and we enjoyed our breakfast selections. We had the Salomon & Spinach Benny and the Chicken & Waffle plates. We were stuffed!! Definitely would recommend this for a stop. It was busy, but we got sat right away.
google avatar

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
We don't do breakfast often but when we do, Linda Jean's is our top choice on Martha's Vineyard. Staff is always friendly and service is awesome. Food is delicious with lots of choices for egg and pancake lovers. Prices are fair. Nice artwork to look at too. If you have ever read a summer book about the island, Linda Jean's is sure to be mentioned as the go to breakfast joint.

Yelp
Friendly customer service Great location Good food Good Price They do togo orders, especially because it can get busy.

Nina L.

Yelp
Classic breakfast place with flair. The food is great, the menu has good selections and the service is great as well.

Nicole C.

Yelp
The food is excellent, the menu has many options, and the staff is so friendly. My favorite dish is the strawberry pancakes with eggs and the chicken maple sausage. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. It's easily my favorite brunch restaurant.

Yelp
Great food and selection. The wait was the hardest part but still worth the visit! I try to make it there at least twice on every visit

Delores H.

Yelp
Service and food, excellent!! Been back several times every year we're here. Service staff friendly and professional always a line outside that's are good Linda Jeans restaurant is.

Yelp
Breakfast choices are varied and delicious. Waitstaff friendly efficient and helpful. Food comes to table quickly and hot. Coffee is bottomless.
