We recently visited Germany for a family reunion. I needed to book a hotel that suited us, our two children (8 & 7) and my mother (73). We were based in Frankfurt for ten days and wanted somewhere homely. Das Lindenberg delivered!||||We stayed on the first floor in the Linda room and my mother had a room on the ground floor called Lulu. Both rooms were elegantly decorated and spacious. The hotel had set up some cute children sized fold out beds in our room and there was still heaps of room to move about, eat breakfast, lay out suitcases etc. The only suggestion I could make was that the lighting beside the bed was a little low - certainly romantic but not great for reading in bed!||||The shared areas (kitchen, dining & lounge) were lovely and welcoming - I worked downstairs at the table a couple of mornings and got to see some of the other residents - everyone was very considerate in the shared spaces, quiet and polite. It was nice to meet the others but you could also keep to yourselves if you preferred.||||The staff were there when you needed but otherwise left you to your own devices. Perhaps if you're a person wanting someone to carry your bags (there is no lift) and bring room service then this isn't the place for you, but if you're like us, we loved making ourselves at home. The staff can make local recommendations for coffee, shopping, and restaurants. There is even a fold out sheet that shares some of their favourite picks. ||||Das Lindenberg is in a fabulous location - a quiet residential street - which means you won't be woken up by sirens and city noise. It is very easy walking distance from Ostendstaße train station or the tram stops which will take you into town easily.||||All in all, a delight. We'll be booking again next time we're in Frankfurt!

The Lindenberg is in a lovely converted house. Rooms are large and include kitchen facilities. Most interestingly, there's also a large shared kitchen where guests can cook, then eat at the common dining room table. There's also a nice garden for guests to use, as well as a roof-top terrace. Other guests are friendly and helpful. The rooms have high ceilings and lots of light from the large windows.||||Although it's a few blocks from the European Central Bank, the street is residential and the apartment was quiet. It was a very short walk to the UBahn stop, which was a direct connection to the Frankfurt airport. Very convenient to everything, either on foot or on the train.||||Staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

What a great find! A friend of ours from Frankfurt recommended us to stay here - wow! This is just the right place for people who are fed up with huge and unpersonal hotels and look for an individual place to stay. Incredible design, every room is different from each other, very comfortable, nice bed linen, cool lobby hang out, high ceilings with staccato and very convenient located just around the corner of Ostend underground/bus station. You reach downtown city in just a few minutes. Well done ladies from Das Lindenberg - I am very impressed about this individual, hidden gem !

What a gem this is! Not in the centre of Frankfurt, but easy access either by subway, bus or a pleasant walk along the river. Eva does everything she can to make your stay pleasant. The hotel is quirky and homey. Our room was a good size - well ventilated and overlooking her lovely shady garden. Breakfast was healthy and delicious and we ate in the garden. You can prepare your own dinner or BBQ if you feel like it but we ate in a lovely little Italian restaurant over the road. We would return any time!

What a lovely, charming place to stay. The rooms and bathrooms were well sized and interestingly decorated. There were fresh flowers everywhere and modern art on the walls. The staff was friendly and helpful. ||||It's a bit out of the way, but in the best sense - a quiet neighborhood - but reserve your taxi in advance if you need a morning taxi. ||||A family was staying there with a baby, and it lent a family feel. You can open a bottle of wine, cook dinner, and relax. It's that kind of place. It would be excellent for a long term stay in the summer - they have a lovely back garden and a fantastic roof!

Although not really located in the city centre this place really is a hidden gem - and it is still very good accessible by pulbic transport from the mainstation and city centre. Or just get a taxi if you like. The whole house and rooms are very nicely decorated. A mix of modern and old. The room (Lolita) is spacious and clean. ||Our hosts (Julia & Rafa) were super friendly and very welcoming. Every wish (sunday breakfast) was fulfilled and hands on city tips were provided. It felt like our second home for just a weekend.||Looking forward to the new place, meaning we will be back for sure.||||2 little "downsides":||The bed was a little on the small side with only one bedcover. We could have asked for a second one i guess.||The TV (although the owners idea is not to have people watch TV) was placed a bit unfortunate. You have to turn yourself in bed to watch it. For a lazy grey sunday it`s nice to have a TV. If you don`t want your guests to watch TV then just don`t hang them in the rooms

Lived here for 6 months when I was working in Frankfurt. It's an excellent place to stay and such good value. Extremely close to city center with just one S-Bahn stop. Even though you are sharing the house with other people, you rarely ever see anyone and normally always have the place to yourself. The house is cosy, very big and has a kitchen with everything you need in it, a big garden and even a basement gym. It's conveniently located (huge supermarket REWE is a 10 min walk and there is a petrol station 2 minutes away if you need anything basic). Everyone I did bump into there was pleasant, and the rooms are great to hang out in as you usually have your own lounge area. Highly recommend.

This is a VERY special place to stay. An old townhouse in the eastern part of Frankfurt that has been completely renovated in a very creative way. It's a bed and breakfast but a unique one that is like home. Wonderful. BUT - you are lucky to find a vacancy. Luckily they are building a second one in the south of Frankfurt.
