When I booked this place, it was listed as a hotel apartment, and it looked quite high-end — so I decided to give it a try. The hotel itself stands out from the landscape in a not-so-good way, looking a bit out of place compared to its surroundings. Parking on-site was included, which was convenient, and I was greeted by a friendly receptionist — the reception area itself was clean and well-decorated.
However, my apartment in Building 7 was very disappointing. It was freezing cold, lacked personality, and felt more like a student flat than a hotel room. Some blinds were broken, and the atmosphere was plain and uninviting — a big contrast to the hotel’s lobby.
The gym was in poor condition — dirty, poorly maintained, and with broken machines. The Apple TV on the wall wasn’t even connected to Wi-Fi, making it useless.
The next morning, I had breakfast, which was just okay. There was a decent selection, but there were no coffee beans in the machine (only pre-brewed coffee on the side). The milk station was placed far away, though easy enough to find. They only served bread rolls, no sliced bread — the rolls were bland but fine. I also tried the banana-chocolate muffins, which were unfortunately not great: too much chocolate and large banana chunks that didn’t blend well. That might be a matter of taste, but it wasn’t for me.
When checking out, I was told I had to pay for breakfast, even though the website clearly stated it was included. It turned out that breakfast wasn’t included with the apartment booking — something that was not clearly communicated online. When I explained this, the receptionist responded in a condescending tone, saying she didn’t want to argue and told me, “Don’t worry, we’ll fix it.” While I didn’t have to pay in the end, the way she handled it felt disrespectful and left a poor impression.
Overall, this was far from one of my better hotel experiences — cold and impersonal rooms, a neglected gym, an average breakfast, and disappointing customer service at checkout.
