Just returned from a week stay in the Lindos Grand, a wonderful place to relax but there are some negatives to counter the huge amount of positives.||On check in, there's a bit of a run down getting the app installed on your phone for booking experiences and restaurants. Doesn't take long but helps if you're proficient in using technology.||We were staying in a garden view room with private pool but due to it's location, the patio and pool were in the shade by late afternoon. Probably wouldn't bother with the pool again but the handiness from those rooms to the pool can't be dismissed. It's literally 30 seconds from your door to sunbed. The previously mentioned daylight early in the morning has been revolved with some black out blinds, so it isn't really a problem now. The bathroom is a fairly strange set up with the shower and toilet being in a separate room to the sink, which is in the middle of the bedroom. More open plan but a bit odd.||The Greek and Japanese restaurants weren't available during our stay. Travelling to Greece and not having traditional Greek food available on site, was a bit disappointing.||The sunbed issue mentioned in other reviews is still an issue. Not sure how to remedy that, maybe sunbeds assigned on arrival to your room, but that would come with it's own problems when the hotel was at capacity. Not a massive fan of securing sunbeds but needs must, get up and watch the sunrise. The cabanas are nice enough and come with some good extras, but €80 a day soon adds up.||The pool itself is idyllic. Quiet with some live music a few times a week, you can while away the hours soaking up some sunshine.||Yes, the gym is quite small. But there's also an indoor one located in the spa, and if you can't scale your workouts to the available equipment, then you need to learn more. It's a hotel first, any gym is a welcome addition.||All the food is excellent. Breakfast buffet with pretty much everything you could need, and the staff operating it are great. Lunch by the pool was good and all of the on site dinners were brilliant. Again, staff were brilliant. Friendly and attentive on all occasions. ||Lindos itself is a €14 taxi ride, 5 minutes over the hill. Well worth a few visits, particularly Panos on the beach and Kava Kantina for some wine and cocktails afterwards. Hotel can arrange your taxi at the front desk, getting home is a matter of queueing up at Lindos Square.||If arranging your own transfer, leave a bit of extra time if you're travelling back to the airport around rush hour. The traffic into Archangelos and Faliraki can cause a bit of a delay.||All in all, a fantastic holiday, highly recommended hotel and if I wasn't on a "new location every year" kick, I'd be booking here again. Might still, it was that good.
