We have recently returned from a 7 night stay at this wonderful hotel. We were celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary whilst on holiday and the hotel presented us with a bottle of sparkling wine and a cake, great touch and very much appreciated. The hotel is built into the side of an incline and the rooms are all set at different levels accessible by stairs and/or a funicular that is great fun. There are 3 restaurants and we ate at all 3 during our stay and can honestly say the food was plentiful and very tasty in all 3. The hotel itself was clean and spacious as well as having a good sized main pool, with plenty sunbeds, and a smaller one at a lower level. The hotel also has it's own private beach which we spent a couple of day at, again, enjoyable with plenty of sunbeds/brollies. Our room had a good size balcony with a view out to sea and across the bay, the room was spacious with plenty storage. ||Although there is the option to take the stairs to the different levels, there are plenty of lifts for those less able.||The journey into Lindos is easy by bus. 2 euro each way, with a stop just at the top of the drive, or on an evening its 10 euro each way by taxi. We also ventured into Rhodes old town by bus which cost 20 euro return.| |Although all the staff were friendly, always smiling and helpful I would jus like to mention a few in particular (and apologies if I have misspelt) Baxi? the concierge, he gave us a tour around on our first day, he always spoke and had a smile on his face whenever we met him. Chrisa, who worked on reception, always helpful, Tiana and Valaria (sisters) and Robert who worked in the restaurant and Jurgenen? who worked in the Melia restaurant. They all represented the hotel in such a professional manner. Overall a really nice hotel, we had a great stay and would not hesitate to stay again.
