This was a great beach to finish our trip on. Breathtaking colors and views. The water was a little bit less calm than others, but not crazy. Good for families. It has picnic tables, bathrooms, and showers. Paid access. $30 for a car and 4 adults.

We went at 9:45 by taxi. We wish we rented a car! The beach has yellow/white sand and crystal blue waters. It wasn’t busy, but had people there, maybe 25 total. The showers worked well and there were bathrooms. We brought our own food and drinks. There wasn’t any drinks available until 2:30pm when we left. A local sold drinks. The snorkeling wasn’t great. We did go on a fun beach exploration walk discovering sea urchins, star fish, sea worms and shells. I definitely would recommend this beach for a long morning.

Google
This was a last minute decision to stop at this beach as we stayed on Sapphire beach, but it was definitely worth it. The water is crystal clear and we saw plenty of fish and stingrays. It's not crowded and there are facilities on site with bathrooms and showers. A short walk down the beach and you can see some rock/coral areas.

Dawn Boudwin

Google
It’s simply beautiful. There are chairs you can rent, there is also a life guard on duty. Additionally they showers and restrooms a short walk from the beach. If you’ll be out there you need to bring your own beverages and food. Or order Señor Pizza.

Head to Lindquist Beach early! This stunning, less-crowded gem is part of Smith Bay Park and offers powdery white sand, calm turquoise water, and picture-perfect views of St. John and the BVIs. Arrive before 10 AM to snag a shady spot under the sea grape trees and enjoy the peaceful vibe before more visitors arrive. Bring a picnic, as amenities are limited—but there are clean restrooms and lifeguards on duty. Ideal for couples, families, and anyone seeking that “postcard” Caribbean beach day without the crowds.

Google
This beach. This is the one. You have to pay to park and they close early but it's sooo much more quiet than sapphire beach. The water is crystal clear, like swimming in a pool. Plenty of amenities as well.

Came to the USVI in March 2025 and to Lindquist beach at around 2-3pm. I would have loved to have pool shoes as the beach floor is mostly rock/coral. I brought my goggles because was hoping to see some fish and turtles but there was hardly anything visible, still was fun to try to find them in the coral. The beach access fee was $7 which is fair as there are restrooms and showers and the parking is close. It was quiet and peaceful. There was an option to rent beach chairs and umbrellas but there was plenty of shaded areas to set up a towel and I was pretty comfortable. They also sell drinks but you can also bring your own.

Google
Great beach! Beautiful White sands not a lot of people since you have to pay but worth it! They have benches and nice restrooms and showers.

Yelp
Beautiful low key beach with minimal people. There is a $5 fee per person to enter this beach. The waters are so clear and is a perfect area to go snorkeling. In these waters there are turtles , pufferfish, stingrays, jellyfishes, lobster , squid which all can be seen while snorkeling . There are picnic tables and plenty of shade areas also a lifeguard on site who is extremely knowledgeable about this area. We had the pleasure of meeting Jellani who told us where was the best area to snorkel. Definitely recommend this beautiful beach. Make sure to bring snacks, food, and drinks as this site does not have any food trucks or restaurants on site. Also we did not see any taxis parked nearby. Guessing because it's a low key beach, so make sure to arrange a ride or have a taxi cab number on you when you're done.

Yelp
My favorite beach in St. Thomas. It's quiet. There's plenty of shady spaces to set up your chairs, blankets or towels. They also have picnic tables. Only a small section is rocky. The rest is smooth. The water is shallow and you can snorkel nearby. We did see a small shark near the shoreline, but no one was scared. They have a $5 per person entrance fee and $2 parking fee. If you're a veteran the parking fee is waived. Parking is a less than 5 min walk to the beach, but you can drive your car up to the beach to drop off your belongings. They have clean bathrooms and showers available. Lounge chairs are available for rent.

Jack F.

Yelp
Super chill. Not a bunch of idiots at the beach. Worth the money for parking. Def coming again.

Yelp
You have to pay to get in, but it is worth it if you stay for a couple hours. Beach is mostly in direct sunlight and they will charge you $5 per chair. We sat on our towels the whole time and were fine, I wouldn't waste your money on the chairs. There are nice bathrooms and showers. Little fish surround the shallow water and they are really fun to watch. View of the sea is amazing and would recommend visiting.

Yelp
Lindquist Beach was just what the doctor ordered - the crowds when we were there were miniscule compared to the Chaos we encountered at Magens Bay. Tip: Pristine conditions like those found here come with trade-offs; Megens has amenities (like equipment rentals and beach bars) while Lindquist doesn't. On the upside, over and above the beautiful, uncluttered beach and the crystal clear water, the shower facilities and restroom here are much better than those at Megens. There's great snorkeling right off the beach, where we saw a plethora of fish and coral; we even saw in Iguana wandering around next to the parking lot ;-)

Yelp
This is a wonderful beach. You'll see many beautiful sea creatures. If you don't have snorkeling equipment you can rent from St Thomas Adventures. They have bathrooms and a shower to rinse the sand. Plenty of parking too. This will be my go to beach for sure.

Yelp
Best beach on this island that I went too, it costed $5 per person to get in and you could rent chairs. Very quiet and a lot of space. The beach was long and could fit a lot of people. Water was also very nice and clear and the best water I've seen on the island yet. This beach also had the least seaweed and would definitely go again. One thing I will say is bring your own water or any other snacks you might want for the day.

Tiffany J.

Yelp
Despite the gecko's and roaming rooster, this was a lovely, quiet beach to visit with the right amount of people. It was not over crowded and the staff was very helpful and friendly during our stay. You get the right amount of sun and blue waters.
google avatar

Roberto Y.

Yelp
Gorgeous Beach! The water is crystal clear and has a nice blue color. This beach is great to relax and enjoy the view. Snorkeling is not as good as Coki Beach. However there were a couple of turtles swimming. The entrance to the beach cost $5 per person older than 12 years old. Parking cost $2. It has nice restrooms and shower facilities. There are lifeguards. You need to bring your own chairs and umbrellas. I believe this beach is part of a natural reserve. There are trees along the shore where you can set yourself up and protect yourself from the sun. There are picnic tables which are very helpful if you bring your lunch. There are no vendors. You need to bring your own food and drinks. This is a beach that you definitely need to visit.

Yelp
Also known as Smith Bay Beach, Lindquist is one of two St Thomas beaches that you must pay to enter ($5 per person, $2 per car). I have no issues with paying to enjoy a pristine and gorgeous beach but in doing so here I couldn't help but compare it to the other pay-to-play St. Thomas beach, Magen's Bay. At Lindquist you can drive down to the beach to unload your car but to park it you must return to a central parking lot. It's a short walk but an inconvenience and I prefer the Magens Bay arrangement, where I can park my car once and unload right there. Unlike Magen's, there are no chaise lounges for rent, no umbrellas for rent, no snorkel gear either. There's no food for sale, no beach babes taking your boozy drink order, and no lifeguards (during my visit). The beach was clean but one section of the water had a mass of Sargassum Seaweed. The part that came ashore was being diligently removed by paid workers but there's not much they can do when that stuff takes over the water. So why would anyone prefer this beach over Magen's? Some people just like quieter, emptier places and this is that. As I swam in the water, pelicans dive-bombed close enough to me to elicit surprised laughter. They're very active here and you're just a small obstacle that they must work around. As a result, this beach seems perfect for birders (those who like to observe or photograph). There's little shade here and even fewer people and, though you can snorkel here, the water was a bit churned up on my visit and unsuitable for good snorkeling. Lindquist is so different from Magen's that it really comes down to personal preferences. For the money, I prefer Magens Bay but if you like your beaches quiet and mostly uninhabited, and if you enjoy watching pelicans, Lindquist will be your happy place.

Yelp
So this beach is one of those secrets that is no longer one, thanks to Trip Advisor and Yelp, which is great for us visitors, and not so much for the locals. If you're looking for a low key no frills place, with basic facilities that are relatively well maintained, no rentals, and don't mind it that there is no food or drinks served here, you'll be ok. Our favorite beaches on St. Thomas, are Magens Bay and Morning Star, for the opposite of all the reasons just stated in the last sentence, but its game over for both beaches if a cruise ship is docked. Yes, it is annoying that you have to pay to access beaches here. I'm from Hawaii, and we don't pay to access any beach out there. It's almost criminal because nature should be free to all, but, those fees do help to maintain the beaches and facilities. Its $2 for a car, $4 for non residents, and $2 for residents. The trick to this place is to go after 5pm and its free. Bring a bottle of wine with you, find a good spot away from the picnic tables, and you'll find that you'll actually get a decent amount of sunlight in and get the watch the sunset. Another plus is that you won't have to deal with the crowds, as most are already packing up for the day. This spot lost a star, due to no food & beverage near by, and the parking lot is a hike to the actual beach. Depending on the time of year, and I still haven't figured this one out for sure, but it looks like the summer months, this beach and all others on the south eastern side get attacked by seaweed, which makes for a creepy snorkeling experience. Every other second you're under water, "something" touches or wraps around you. But, this beach has some of the best views of the Cays, St. John and in the distance BVI. This place is just another reason of why #lifesabeach in St. Thomas.

Yelp
This is a beautiful beach, no doubt. It was very empty, less than 30 people ona Sunday, soon found out why. We had 5 people and 4 chairs, so one of us sat in an empty lounge chair on the beach. There were about 15 of them, mostly empty. After about a half hour a 'fella' named Kareem came over and told us they were all his chairs and to get off it! He spewed some profanities , and said some threatening things to us, then drug the chair about 15 feet away and dropped it. I told him that was fine and to just ' let it go'. He then went off on us and said that makes him mad! He finally left and I saw him threaten 3 other tourists later on with the same issue, sitting on 'his' chairs. He did allow 2 'local' girls to sit on his chairs , but no one else. If you are an American tourist, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THISBEACH, for your safety!

Yelp
Very beautiful white sand beach on the N side of the island. There is a pay parking/access booth, but with that there is a higher level of infrastructure than at other beaches. Unfortunately, we left the beach late, but there is a nice looking public restroom and shower stalls where you can rinse off. Also, there are picnic tables available. There even seemed to be a lifeguard on duty (at least someone in a short indicating an official capacity). Entry and exit are pretty easy, but the majority of the area has a sandy/grassy bottom, so there isn't an abundant reef structure.

Yelp
So I want to say that the beach itself is awesome. Crystal clear water, plenty of space to spread out and nice restrooms and showers. No bar or restaurant service however. Decent snorkeling. The reason for the low rating is the gate worker. She was extremely rude and hateful. They offer a veteran discount for fee parking, which is $2. If you're a veteran it's waived. However when we told the lady one of the men in our group was a US Army veteran she became very hostile and argumentative. She then denied waiver of parking because our veteran wasn't "driving" and only a passenger. She was a disgrace to her employer. Pitiful.

Yelp
This beach was very lovely, and the seaweed isn't too bad. Beautiful water and easy parking.

Yelp
We were told by locals and family members not to come here; that it was not worth it and it was boring. Well I'm glad we ignored the naysayers and came because we had a blast. The water is stunning and one of the top 3 on the island in my opinion. The sand is white and pristine and soft. We got here at 1030 am and had the luxury of picking where we wanted, and the "crowd" didn't arrive until about 1230- even so, there weren't more than 25 people on the whole beach the entire day we were there. Facilities are great. They also offer snorkeling gear to rent and you have to do it- there are sea turtles here!! I was lucky enough to swim with three. Not as many fish for viewing as other waters, but enough to make you happy. Several iguanas and other similar creatures were hanging out on the trees by our table. There are tables here that you can use but not too many. BYOB and food, and don't get s#!tfaced like the one group did next to us on the beach- park police removed them since they were causing a scene. Come here! It's worth the $5 entrance fee and $2 parking fee.

Yelp
One of my favorite beaches on St Thomas. Plenty of room, usually no crowd. Usually calm and great for snorkeling.

Yelp
Also known as Smith Bay. A beautiful, well kept beach with bathroom facilities and foot showers. It costs to get in and also to park. I found it strange they did not let you park near the beach, but instead at the parking lot a ways from the actual beach. The views of St. John, the surrounding cays and the BVI were beyond breathtaking. Definitely one of the more beautiful views here on the island, given the distant location. The downside is that it was quite a bit more rocky in certain areas which I wasn't anticipating. In addition to that, there was loads of seaweed in the ocean or something that wasn't very desirable to walk on or through in the shallow areas. It made for pretty pictures from afar, but I found myself constantly trying to avoid the massive seaweed farms. We did some snorkeling here, but there wasn't much variety to see. There were lots of fish following me around, which at first I found cute and then just plain ANNOYING. I'm talking dozens, and not small fish. I know they don't harm you, but they certainly know how to bug you! A couple other possible downsides were the lack of businesses on the beach. No restaurant, no bars, nowhere to rent anything. It could be seen as a positive or negative I suppose. I loved that it was very quiet, few patrons, and we witnessed a pair of ladies exchanging vows on the beach. If you're looking for a smaller beach with few added obstructions of the natural beauty, this is it.

Yelp
This is my favorite beach on the island. Non-resident: $5 adults, Children Free Resident: $2 adults, Children Free Parking: $2 Free before or after business hours 8am-5pm You have to park in a lot and walk, but if you have a lot of stuff to unload, you can drive up to the picnic tables and unload. Sand is white and water is very clear. When heading down to the beach after the entrance, you can turn left or go straight. Make sure you turn left. The left side isn't rocky like the other side, and you see less seaweed. Restrooms, showers and foot baths are available, and the facilities are actually relatively new. As mentioned before, picnic tables are available. Lots of shade from trees covering the tables. Glass containers are not allowed. You can take a BBQ pit. A lifeguard is on duty during business hours 8am - 5pm. You commonly see fish and stingrays at this beach.
google avatar

Greg L.

Yelp
This beach was fantastic and not crowded at all. The sand was soft and the waves were calm and there were rays swimming around. My family couldn't get enough of this beautiful beach!!
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
This just might be my favorite beach in the world. But you probably won't like it. Go to Sapphire or Magens. ;) (JUST KIDDING...mostly) Courtney and his coworkers have done an amazing job revitalizing and cleaning up from hurricanes IrMaria in 2017. Disclaimers: $5 to get in, and $2 to park. WORTH IT. Drop your things off at your spot, return your car to the lot and you're good to go. The entrance closes at 5 PM, but you can still walk down to the beach. There are NO food/drink amenities, but there is J the Lifeguard from the beach keeping an eye on things, and pointing out the WILDLIFE. This beach has the absolute softest sand on the ocean floor, and such beautiful water. The water is gentle and perfect for both young swimmers and the more mature as well. Don't be scared of the wildlife; just be respectful. In the past few years while visiting, I've swam or walked with or near both sharks and rays. I also saw 2 large rays jump out of the water where the surf broke around dusk this last winter. LOTS of turtles; you can see them from shore quite easily. This is a great spot to see a rainbow as well. It went right through the water, and you could see it! FYI: Going to this beach, or any beach on the weekend, you will generally encounter more people and a more energetic vibe than during the week. But THIS is the beach you want to go to if you're staying on the island and there are quite a few cruisers off the ships.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazingly beautiful beach! This is my favorite St. Thomas beach. There's good snorkeling, excellent facilities including bathrooms, footwashes and hot showers. If there's a negative (and I don't think there is) - it's that the facilities, including the beach close at 5pm.
google avatar

Tyler C.

Yelp
This beach is really peaceful, and you can see several different islands from here. There was barely anyone else there when my family went in late May. The snorkeling is good (I saw two sea turtles), and we also saw several iguanas just above the beach area. There is also a bathhouse, which is nice. If peaceful is what you're looking for, this is the place to be in St. Thomas!
google avatar

Winchelle R.

Yelp
Pretty chill local beach. Not as busy with tourists like Magen's Bay, plenty of shade under the trees, few picnic tables and great place to snorkel. It doesn't have a Beach Bar like other beaches but there's a local guy who sells decent rum punch.

Yelp
Date of Visit: April 2013 What a hidden gem on St. Thomas, and despite a lack of amenities from a conventional standpoint, quietly breathtaking. A few notes: Location: 3 out of 5 Located on the east end of St. Thomas, you'd almost miss the beach if you didn't know to look for a fairly nondescript sign that just says either "Smith Bay Park" or "Lindquist Park" on the side of the road. The actual road leading up to the beach is well maintained, and if you get there early enough during the day, you don't have to pay an admission fee, woo hoo! Amenities: 2 out of 5 Bare bones, man. There's a porta potty for men, and a porta potty for women. No real bathroom, no showers, no changing stalls, and I think the only sign of food or drink I saw was a little shack that was closed that proudly read, "Cold Water and Beer!" Of course - this prevents the more touristy folk from coming in droves, and that's fine with me. I had a lovely time, and I encountered 2 other people that day. One was running along the beach, the other was an older lady swimming in the water. Tranquility and Ambiance: 5 out of 5 A truly through the roof 5 out of 5. If you know where to go (pssst, take a left right when you get in), it's awesomely quiet and peaceful there. There are a few tables for picnics, but other than that, the trees provide nice shade and cover from the rains. Accessibility: 5 out of 5 Not a metric that I usually use, but my fiance broke her ankle in January of 2013 and was on the mend in late April. It was nice that the actual beach part was very close to the parking lot. Well, when I say lot, I really mean "dirt lot with no lines or marked spaces", but that's just as well for me. Overall: an objective 4 out of 5 (but a biased 5 out of 5) The lack of amenities may dissuade some of you from going, which is just as fine for me, since it means more space for my wedding in 2014. Heh heh.. Honestly - I'd prefer Lindquist over Magen's any day of the week. If the access to food is an issue, the Red Hook area is not that far of a drive.

Yelp
We had to share this beach with two other people! The only thing available were chairs, so pack a lunch. The water and views are stunning. The beach is a little rocky, but for the privacy I would go back here for sure!
google avatar

Yelp
Best public beach on the island. USVI park means amenities and security. There is a fee but very reasonable. Bath house and restrooms are clean and attended. Beach is soft sand. Lots of picnic tables and picnic areas. Very family friendly space. Turtle grooming and feeding station 30 yards out. Easiest snorkeling spot on the island.
google avatar

Yelp
I almost don't want to write this review because I want this beach to remain the hidden gem that it is. Alas, the Yelper in me just has to share. My boyfriend and I had a stop in St. Thomas during our cruise. We had been to Magens Bay last year. It is supposedly the nicest beach in St. Thomas, if not the world. While we enjoyed it, we wanted to try something a bit more secluded. It's reputation naturally brings in a lot of visitors. We asked the cab coordinator to send us to the least busy beach he knew of. Enter: Lindquist Beach. It took a while to find a taxi driver that would take us there. The beach is so secluded that getting a taxi-fare on the way back was very unlikely for the cab driver. Finally we were shown into a taxi with a few other people. After making a few stops, we were the last ones in the car. The driver pulled onto a dirt road where we paid a nominal entrance fee. We got out, walked a few steps to the beach, and were in awe. A beautiful enclosed beach similar to Magens Bay but EMPTY. There was maybe 4 other people on the beach (mostly locals). There aren't any concession stands or bathrooms, just a few benches but it is so worth it. Peace, serenity and crystal clear waters. I would have stayed there all week if I could.

Yelp
Too many people and beach front is pretty small. There are better beaches to visit. If you are on STT. Or just go to St John.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
$4 entry per person-- make sure you have cash! Really, it's worth it, though-- Lindquist is a gorgeous and very "chill" beach in that there aren't many amenities besides the very clean bathrooms. Some other reviewers seem to see this as a negative, but I think it's a huge plus! (What could possibly top those pristine, cerulean waters and fine white sand?) Just make sure to bring your own food and drink. On our day, the beach wasn't very crowded except for a tour group that came by for an hour or so. There was a good mix of locals and tourists, and there are some shady spots available to sit if you'd prefer to stay out of the sun.

Ashley M.

Yelp
This is probably the most beautiful, peaceful beach I have ever been to, and I've been to Fiji! A $10 pp taxi ride from the port (IF you can persuade a driver to take you... not sure why the resistance as it is very close to the much more populated Coki Beach) and a $5 entrance fee per person, but absolutely worth it. Crystal clear turquoise water and soft white sands, and there were only about 15 other people on the beach at noon. Amenities are limited (nice bathrooms and showers) but as others mentioned, no food or drink so make sure you are prepared.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
One of St. Thomas best kept secret, as not too many tourists know about this secluded beach. After swimming with the turtles, we hopped onto a taxi bus and asked to be taken to this spot. As we drove up to the entrance, a women sitting in a chair stopped us. She said the we had to pay $4.00 to enter and the taxi bus could not go any further. We had to walk the rest of the way (only cars are allowed to drive through). As we were walking into the park there are no signs marking the dirt road that winds its way through a grove of coconut palms and thick sea grape trees only a rooster and some local contractors that were busy building what look liked vacation houses. Sure, we got some stares from them and for a moment I felt like we were going to be kidnapped or stepping into a sand trap (I watch too many scary movies). We did not have to walk long until we saw an opening to enter the beach, and just like a scene from a movie, there was the beach with its white sand and turquoise blue water shining in the sun! There were only about half a handful of people on the beach, all spread out along the shore. We found a nice spot and set up for a nice afternoon in the sun. This beach does not have huge waves instead; there are nice ripple effects that come in. It is mellow enough to go out and just float on your back. At first, the water was somewhat warm but walking a little bit more out and it was perfect! Crystal clear water, which is nice instead of that disgusting murky water we have to settle for at our beaches. It is so peaceful and quiet that I took a small nap while laying out (no sunburns here). A quick FYI if you need a taxi bus back to the city or to your ship, they do not stop in the park, you will have to walk out of the park and hail it from the side of the road. When it was time to head back into the city it only took us less than five minutes to catch a bus.

Yelp
Lindquist or rather Smith Bay Beach is the name of this great hidden beach, highly recommended by locals. It will not be hidden for much longer since they are doing construction and will be charging entrance fee very soon. I believe $2.00 per person. We enjoyed our time under the palm trees, surrounded by chickens, iguanas, lizards, ducks, chicks and friendly local folks. The water is very clear and we were surrounded by a few whilte/black fish that loved to swim around us the entire time. We also spotted a small sting ray in the distance. We saw a few folks with snorkeling gear. This beach will be a little difficult to find right away, like mostly any beach on St. Thomas. Once you pass Sugarbay Resort turn onto the 2nd street to the left (AFTER YOU PASS Ace Warehouse) - there will be some constructions but just drive through it and you will see the beach. Otherwise, there is a smaller, less paved street right before that leads to the beach as well.. Pack a cooler with drinks and snacks, because there is nothing of that sort for sale here and enjoy your day in the sun.

Mike W.

Yelp
This nice, relatively secluded beach is great for snorkeling. The sea grass beds make it a reliable spot to see green turtles and I've also seen an eagle ray and a circa 5'6" long barracuda. The entry is $4 per adult and $2 to park before 5pm. There are picnic tables, bathrooms, and showers. The beach has a rocky entry on the right side.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
There's not much to look at while snorkeling... some grass beds and sand. Saw maybe one fish... BUT its very secluded... not many tourists! And it has FRESH WATER SHOWERS!!! So nice.

Chad T.

Yelp
Very chill but lots of sargassum/seaweed at the moment. They charge to get in but if it's not a cruise ship day I highly recommend Maegans's Bay beach. There is no concession at Lindquist and come prepared with chairs and an umbrella. If you want some shade go to the left after entering the park. Would give it 4 stars without the seaweed problem which is not within their control and just bad timing...
google avatar

Lynn J.

Yelp
Still underutilized and peaceful. "My kind of beach." Nice, clean and new changing, shower and toilet facilities. Few people, under 100 over the entire length. We we so happy to return here and not have to go to an overdone place like Coki. Yes, it was $5 each and $2 parking but still worthwhile.

Yelp
Had our wedding vow renewals on this beach with Wedding Set Go. Gorgeous beach and was my favorite out of all that we visited. Quite and beautiful. Bathrooms and showers offered but no rentals or food vendors, but that was fine with us. After our vow renewals we took off that day and went to another beach. My husband and I loved Linquist so much we went back to spend a day. Love it there its beautiful

Glenne W.

Yelp
Nice secluded beach near Red Hook that is now managed by Magen's Bay Authority. Because of that, they charge $2 per person, but there are new nice bathrooms and showers and a nice parking lot. There is lots of shade and picnic tables. Soft white sand, nice scenery. No bars or food and no equipment rental, but that was fine with us. There was a lot of seaweed but the water was still nice and there was good snorkeling. The locals go here on weekends with their families. One of my favorite beaches we went to.

Yelp
We loved this beach. They have restrooms and the driver supplied soft drinks and beer. No concessions. Can't wait to go again

Yelp
Love this beach. Beautiful water, not crowded and gay friendly!! Only thing bring some food and "byob" the local rum guy runs out quickly. Love this beach

Absolutely awesome beach! Spent the whole day here. Not really sure what time they open but I think it's around 8-9am. But they do close promptly at 5. It cost our family of 6, 4 adults and 2 kids $22 to get in, but I gave the attendant $40 and she gave me back $20. You can drive down to the beach and drop off your chairs and coolers but have to park back up at the entrance, it's not a long walk maybe 150 yards. There was a great local islander that was serving up rum punch and you can rent full size beach chairs through him. He'll bring them to your spot on the beach. Cost for the chairs is only $5/chair for the whole day. He works off of tips but definitely works hard for them. Beach wasn't that busy, but from like 1-3:30 the cruise line tour people came in and about doubled the amount of people. No problems though happy to see them come they bought a lot of drinks from the islander. BRING YOUR MASK AND SNORKEL! We swam from end to end in the swim area and saw lots of tropical fish, turtle, and a shark (was not harmful at all, it even brushed up against my 8 years daughter's leg, we think it was a nurse shark but not sure).

Yelp
Beautiful secluded beach. Entrance fee was 10.00 for non-residents. Great view. Clean.

Yelp
An iconic beach! White sands and crystal clear water. We had an epic day! The picnic tables under the trees less than 10 yards from water are perfect. There are iguanas, ducks and other cool animals hanging out to play with too! 2 bucks per person you can't go wrong. Everyone there is in a good mood because this beach's beauty demands it. A must visit beach if you have the chance.

Yelp
This is our favorite beach in St. Thomas. Fairly recently, bathroom/shower house was built. Pay parking. Magnificent view and water. Like Magen's Bay, it can be crowded when cruise ship guests come en mass. But there is always room for one more in the water.

Yelp
Well I guess the secret is out because the day I went the beach was packed. About a 20 minute hike gets you to a small strip of what I would call a "dirty beach". That means very rocky with lots of buggy dried seaweed. The beach is very narrow so other than a few spots you are half in the sun and half under the shade of overhanging trees. Around us other families were commenting about the ants and other crawling insects attacking their lunch. Apparently the other people who reviewed this spot love it so the good news for them is they won't have to compete with me for what little room there is on this beach. I won't be going back.
