Have you ever driven 2,300 miles in four days? Well I have, and let me tell you there is a lot of food along the way; good, bad, and ugly. Lindsey's was the best meal we had on the ENTIRE trip. That includes stuff with green chilis in New Mexico, and Tex Mex in Arizona. Lindsey's beat them all.
We visited late afternoon (I think 3 or 4) and were the only people there. Based on the photo of the owners on Yelp, I think the gentleman who helped us is the owner. We were tired, hungry, and a little out of our element (California born and raised, so we're not BBQ aficionados). He could not have been more helpful and patient with us.
I had the Link Sandwich, which comes with beans and slaw (both excellent) on the sandwich. My son got the daily special, which if I remember correctly was smothered chicken. He got the greens and potato salad as sides. The potato salad was the perfect amount of sweet, and not swimming in mayo. The greens were great; not too salty and didn't taste of pork (is pork even used to cook greens? I told you I'm new here!).
We finished with the fried peach pie, which was excellent. I wish I could say we'll be back, but I can't imagine the next time we'll be in Little Rock. So instead I'll just tell you to go or you're missing out. And you don't want BBQ FOMO!
