My grandmother and I were passing through and found this gem. Food was amazing. The ribs and greens were fantastic! Best sweet potato pie I have ever had!! Service was also amazing. Everyone was super sweet and attentive. Loved talking with the owner. Highly recommend!!

Ordered 2 meals, beef and catfish, with side dishes: fried okra, steamed cabbage, onion rings and potatoe salad...great food, awesome service & wonderful people. Hope to taste their fried chicken one day. Compliment to the chef. (No picture with food, we simply ate it as we received, take home the apple pie and sweet potato pie, we are so full)

This is a restaurant that I will remember forever — and if I am ever somewhere near Little Rock, I will happily go well out of my way to revisit. We ordered our meals with two sides (ribs and chicken, respectively), and upon trying it we knew we had to order more sides just so we could experience more creations from this amazing restaurant. We ended the meal with a slice of warm pecan pie (do it) and got a link sandwich to go for later (that, too). The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. More importantly, the family who runs it are the kinds who restore your faith in humanity. They seem like genuinely good people. I am grateful to have met them. You’re going to be happy that you visited Lindsey’s.

It was easy to place and order. I ordered the barbecue sandwich with coleslaw slaw and fries with a sweet tea. The sandwich was a nice size and the fries were nice a hot. My group was checked on periodically through our meal. The atmosphere was nice and the customer service was wonderful.

Clean, good food, friendly. It was nice meeting Ms. Elenoir. I am wondering why I haven't heard about this place and why no one has ever brought me here before. This is a great experience and a nice treat.......This place is jumping

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!!! For starters, I am a big soul food lovers and am always on the hunt for great SOUL FOOD!! This place is it!! They are a hidden gem!!! The food was amazing, great flavor, nice portions, and nice presentation! Not to mention all of the staff were phenomenal with our service! We ordered beef dinner plate, and smothered porkchops. They were both cooked to absolute perfection!! From now on, we will always stop by here as we pass through from Texas to Chicago, this will be our new tradition.

Just on the outskirts of the Argenta Arts district in North Little Rock sits a gem of an establishment: Lindsey’s Hospitality. Think your grandmother’s kitchen with frequent family and neighbor visitors, this is Lindsey’s. Ms. Eleanor welcomed us into the front door with a friendly smile and suggestions galore. My husband ordered the rib dinner while I ordered the chicken plate, add some sausage. Both of us had the baked beans, I had the Mac & cheese, he had the slaw. As if this weren’t enough food, he finished his lunch with a peach fried pie. We enjoyed our lunch while dining in their comfortable “living room.” I describe it this way because this is an extension of their home: family photos, political photos and family art adorns the walls. We were checked on several times while eating and chatted up by Ms. Eleanor herself - this powerhouse-of-a-woman, along with her husband, continues to keep this family establishment open and in business. WHAT A GEM!

Yelp
Today my sister, daughter and I decided to try Lindsey's. The food was amazing. My sister did a vegetable plate and loved the Cabbage, Greens and sweet potatoes. My daughter did the smoked chicken with macaroni and Cheese and black-eyed peas. I had the Catfish with macaroni and cheese and black-eyed peas. It was all wonderful and great down home cooking. We were greeted as we walked in and they live up to the hospitality in their name. Such a wonderful greeting only surpassed by the food. I really hope people see this review and give them a try. There is history, great food and people at Lindsey's. It is very worth a trip to eat and just enjoy a visit.

Yelp
How is this joint not more famous !? Started in the 1950s (in 1956 I think) this place is a part of Arkansas history but it's not some arthritic place lost in time... friendly attentive staff and large space it's perfect for events They even have electric chargers outside! A stones throw from Argenta, next time you're around just walk a few blocks and come feast on the juicy smoked burger (chicken or beef or pork) and freshly made fries or pinto beans. For dessert try the sweet potato pie ! Must visit place

Yelp
We loved the fried chicken. Fresh, criispy and made to order. The sides were all satisfying. We enjoyed the yams, Mac and cheese, French fries, onion rings, and greens. Pork sandwich was a perfect portion size. Absolutely delicious. The hospitality was top notch. -Prince and Princess from California

Yelp
Saw a review for Lindsey's and after researching the history I really wanted to stop in. This is my kind of place. As the name suggests the hospitality was on point! It's hard to beat a family run restaurant. We both tried bbq and it was good but didn't blow us away. The macaroni and cheese was not good at all. The cornbread was great and the chocolate fried pie was a big winner! We will stop back in again and try the chicken and catfish next time. I feel like this is at lease a 4 star place and I'm sure the next trip will be. Started by Bishop Lindsey in 1956 and they tell me at 99 and 97 he and his wife still come in and meet and greet customers! Love it!

Yelp
Have you ever driven 2,300 miles in four days? Well I have, and let me tell you there is a lot of food along the way; good, bad, and ugly. Lindsey's was the best meal we had on the ENTIRE trip. That includes stuff with green chilis in New Mexico, and Tex Mex in Arizona. Lindsey's beat them all. We visited late afternoon (I think 3 or 4) and were the only people there. Based on the photo of the owners on Yelp, I think the gentleman who helped us is the owner. We were tired, hungry, and a little out of our element (California born and raised, so we're not BBQ aficionados). He could not have been more helpful and patient with us. I had the Link Sandwich, which comes with beans and slaw (both excellent) on the sandwich. My son got the daily special, which if I remember correctly was smothered chicken. He got the greens and potato salad as sides. The potato salad was the perfect amount of sweet, and not swimming in mayo. The greens were great; not too salty and didn't taste of pork (is pork even used to cook greens? I told you I'm new here!). We finished with the fried peach pie, which was excellent. I wish I could say we'll be back, but I can't imagine the next time we'll be in Little Rock. So instead I'll just tell you to go or you're missing out. And you don't want BBQ FOMO!

Yelp
Lindsey's is more than awesome. The food was excellent. I had fall off the bone ribs, crispy yet succulent catfish, mouthwatering Mac & cheese, and delicious sweet potato pie. The southern hospitality is at full display with courteous, polite, and homely service. The ambience is like being in a family gathering. The live music was an added bonus.

Yelp
The best ribs I've ever had, hands down. Catfish was fresh, flaky and fried to perfection. Everyone from the cashier to the owner himself was friendly and welcoming. This'll be my first stop next time I'm in Little Rock.

Yelp
While passing through the Little Rock area with my cousins, I used Yelp as I usually do to find a good spot for lunch. We found Lindsey's Hospitality & BBQ and figured we'd give it a try. Spot on!! From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by friendly staff which most were actually family. Everything was great, from service to the food, they recommended the fried chicken or the ribs and I went with the ribs, literally fall off the bone. We sampled each other's sides and one was better than the other. I highly recommend this spot for locals and travelers alike. Just remember to save a little room for the fried pies in a variety of flavors for dessert!!

Yelp
Fantastic hospitality and great food. Super clean. Catfish was our favorite. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Yelp
Old school soul food and bbq - bbq is a sweet flavor and fried chicken , pinto beans ,the Mac and cheese is on point . Homemade desserts are wonderful try the sweet potato pie. Nostalgic and sometimes they have music . They also feature a private rentable party room . They are sweet and accommodating .

Yelp
If you want to support a small family owned black business this is the place! If you want delicious food and bbq this is the place! Ribs were so tender the meat fell off the bone when I picked up the bone all the meat stayed on the plate. The greens were extremely tasty. The Mac n cheese was good. The potato salad was good. The bbq link was excellent and had a little spicy to it(I love spicy) The fried peach pie was clearly made from scratch and do mouthwatering delicious wish I had got more than one. Flaky crust was perfect. Don't miss this hidden gem.. Oh yes the service, the young gentleman was very helpful and polite! Located straight across from a laundry matt The place was decorated very cute for Christmas

Kelly S.

Yelp
Family owned Multi-generational recipes. Absolutely Everything will melt in your mouth, BBQ, okra, sweet pie!!!The very best cole slaw I've ever tasted!! Do not miss out on this place!!

Yelp
The food was really good! It made me think of meals that my grandma used to cook. Definitely felt and seen the hospitality. I look forward to going back for more.

Yelp
I just had the chicken and dressing with greens and cabbage. It was the best lunch in a long time. My wife had Lindsey's cater my 40th birthday back in the day ( 27 years ago). We will be back soon to try other dishes.

Yelp
Was fantastic loved to way it was cooked service was great the wait time was not long at all the ambiance was fair the place is a grad and go

Yelp
Went here on the 4th of July - so glad we did and that they were open! The catfish and pork bbq we had were so good, along with the comfort food sides, and cornbread. Service was efficient and very polite/cheerful. Places like this are getting harder and harder to find. So thankful Lindsey's is here!

Laderian H.

Yelp
Great southern hospitality and food. Culture type of scenery that feels like you are with your grandma and favorite cousin having a good time.

Yelp
Outstanding local good home southern cooking. Perfect ambiance, excellent service. Was our perfect first southern meal visiting Arkansas. Thank you

Yelp
What a find!!!! Yelping for a fry chicken place nearby route 40 as we travel thru Little Rock and Lindsys had great reviews so stopped by for late lunch. Their fried chicken is made to order so take about 20 minutes which is fine, so we ate the sides first.... Collard green, corn muffin, steamed cabbage, beans, onion rings were awesome. We ordered the 2 piece fried chicken, 1 drumstick and 1 thigh: drumstick was perfect on the crispy outside and tender inside. Unfortunately the thigh piece was dry thus the 4 stars. Also met the owners son who is now running the business and he was very gracious and welcoming If we lived in the area will definitely make this our fry chicken spot!!!

Joanie C.

Yelp
We had a great early dinner here on the Satuday before the eclipse. My husband got ribs, onion rings, and mixed greens. I had the pork plate with mac and cheese and black eyed peas We loved that the flavor came from the meat instead of them putting a cover up sauce on it. It was really good. There's a huge selection of sides, and some good looking pieces of pie as well. It's the real deal. Go and enjoy.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years. And as soon as I walk in the restaurant they remember me. Talk about excellent memory. What else can i say about this place it's delicious, it's soul food still as good as last time and that's what matter, besides when they make you feel welcomed that's always a big plus on my list. Ordered me some smothered pork chops with greens and mac and cheese and they were delicious. Sweet tea was fire. Ordered me some sweet potatoe pie to go. Will come back for sure and become a regular. Let the good times roll.

Yelp
Great BBQ and fixins for decades! This place is a mainstay in North Little Rock. It's a black-owned business with lots of nice folks working there. And, the desserts are great, too! Dine-in or carry out.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly owners and staff. So welcoming and helpful. Food extremely tasty. Pulled pork sandwich, yams, steamed cabbage, smoked chicken, black-eyed peas. Peach fried pie. Delicious flavors. Would highly recommend

Carol P.

Yelp
Best meal in Arkansas!! The owners Donnie and Eleanor Lindsey could not have been nicer. There was a steady stream of people coming in the door and they knew all of them and their stories. The beef brisket and pork BBQ dinners were AMAZING, the homemade cornbread muffins were wonderful and we capped it off with a delicious deep-fried peach pie. Everyone should eat here!!!

Yelp
Linsey's is a local institution, and for good reason. Their barbecue is outstanding! As well as their other sides, desserts, and pies. Love this restaurant! If you want to try the best barbecue in the Little Rock area, Linsey's is the number one choice. Also, their customer service is always exceptional. Highly recommended!

Yelp
This was probably my favorite experience in Little Rock in terms of Hospitality (its all love in this town though). Young lady named Gabby showed me southern hospitality. That young lady was raised right. Another gentleman that work there walked by greeted me and asked how I was doing as. I was going to town on my catfish and beef dinner a combo. I got it with stewed cabbage, and yams. Good eats. I'll probably never be back in Arkansas but I will definitely recommend this place to whoever passes through Little Rock. They do it right. Pictures say a thousand words. Good eats!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I initially thought this to be a curious name for a restaurant - so much so that I wasn't quite sure it was even a restaurant - but it is, and it's a decent one at that. Got the smoked chicken (white meat, sauce on the side), with sides of pinto and cabbage. The chicken was tasty, but a little dry and not particularly plump. The sides were both great, but the cornbread muffins were dry and dense. So, not the best meal I've head, but still satisfying, and for the excellent service (hospitality?) I'll round my rating up for now, and try this place again the next time I pass though LR.

Yelp
I'm new in North Little Rock and Lindsey's was the very first place recommended to me. At this point, they have a reputation for good eats! And I certainly wasn't disappointed. I'm transitioning to vegan but cheated on Memorial Day weekend because I hadn't had good bbq in a while. Because I was cheating, I wanted to make sure the experience would be worth every bite. So when folks told me that Lindsey's was the best around, I sought out the best. I went with a pickup order. I considered using one of the food ordering apps but it came out $15 less expensive to just order with them directly over the phone. The staff was both courteous and accurate! I ordered the jumbo chopped beef sandwich with a side of fried okra and my gf ordered the rib dinner with mixed greens and coleslaw. I LOVED the chopped beef. It was delightfully messy with a great sauce & tender cuts of beef. The sauce & beef mixture softened the bread without making it too soggy. I could tell they'd cooked the mixture slowly to allow the flavors to develop. The mixed greens melted in my mouth. And the the coleslaw had a nicely balanced sweetness and tanginess. My least favorite item was surprisingly the fried okra. It could have used a bit more flavor in my opinion. But everything else hit it out of the park so much that I really wished I had ordered more food. Not sure if I'll be back soon but only because I'm returning to my vegan diet. If Lindsey's ever ventures into vegan bbq, I'll be the first in line.

Yelp
Had to review right away! On a two week road trip and am a total foodie. Ended up in Little Rock to stop for a coffee place I wanted to try, started getting a little hungry and found this gem! Was pretty easy to get to on and off from highway. Had a little trouble pulling up menu and ordering online ahead of time so we got to the restaurant and parked in a curbside spot to do phone in for pickup. Lady was so sweet that took our order. Got good vibes right away from the service and the place was pretty busy with a few dine in folks and a lot of carry out. Order was ready very quick-about 20 min. and you could tell it was all super fresh. My partner and I decided to share a few things. Went with a fried chicken dinner: wing, breast and thigh. Came with two sides, we chose: bbq beans and potato salad. Also included piece of cornbread and a hush puppy. We also got a side of coleslaw and okra to try and two pieces of catfish. I regret not getting pie lol so word of advice-just get the pie! It looked fantastic and everyone that ordered while I was waiting grabbed something lol. Asked for extra napkins, utensils, hot sauce, ketchup, tartar sauce. Wasn't missing any of my order or things I needed so we were able to take our food and enjoy it at a nearby park. Worth the hype-great good, great service.

Yelp
If you are traveling and need real food take the exit!!! This is close to HWY 40 and 30 and easy to find! We ordered smothered pork chops and the combo sandwich and four different sides, everything is delicious, I recommend the mac and cheese. The food is on the sweeter side, it's the south and this is how they do it.

Austin M.

Yelp
If you have never been here you are missing out! I will seek out more "mom & pop" restaurants like this one. Delicious doesn't begin to express how good this food was. This was healing on a plate!! The service was extraordinarily fast too. Definitely recommend this place to everyone!!! BTW I was sent here by a friend and I will forever trust her to pick places to eat.

Ashley A.

Yelp
Passing thru on the way to Tennessee from California and was looking for the best BBQ around.. read reviews and found Lindsey's! This place did not disappoint. The service was a 10 and the food was delicious. The staff and owner were friendly and welcoming! They made you feel at home! Worth the stop !! 20 out of 20!!! I would make a recommendation for what to order... but nothing disappoints!

Yelp
The only way to get more authentically southern comfort food is at a funeral, wedding, or family reunion. My wife and I stopped by Lindsey's after laying my dad to rest and were looking for the kind of soul nourishing meal you only get at pot lucks. This is the real deal. She had the pulled pork sandwich with slaw, and I had the catfish and links plate with slaw and bbq beans. The beans had a wonderful burnt sugar undertone, and the slaw was sweet and creamy, not sour and vinegary like some places. The fish was cut into thin strips and was crispy, hot, and flaky. The links were tender, sweet, and smoky. Though portion sizes were reasonable and not obscene, we left with ful bellies. The place is run by the son of the original owner who established the business in the 50s, and the owner's 90 year old dad still stops by to prepare the sauce "make sure his son doing it right."
google avatar

Carissa-Ann S.

Yelp
We were looking for a family owned BBQ place and we found it! Authentic! DELICIOUS! Donnie was SO helpful and kind and took the time to tell us the most popular dishes. The ribs and chopped pork were unbelievable! The steamed cabbage may have been my favorite and we learned his 95 year old dad who started the place makes it himself everyday!! The coleslaw was also heaven and refreshing. We are SO happy we found Lindsey's. If you're looking for friendly, clean, homemade and delicious desserts and BBQ..you have to stop here! :) We left feeling so happy

Yelp
We were visiting Arkansas for the first time from California, so we had to try some southern BBQ. We are so glad we went to Lindsey's! The food was absolutely amazing. I could not find one thing that wasn't good. Their catfish dinner was 10/10. Baked beans were great, the potato salad was great. The ribs were great. The fried peach pie were delicious. You get the point. Try it for yourself!

Yelp
What a local treasure! Amazing food, crazy cheap prices, and the nicest people you'll ever meet. The BBQ beef sandwiches are the thing to get, though I haven't tried the catfish yet. A short drive from LR - right over the bridge. Go often and tip well.

Stevie C.

Yelp
Came from California on a quick trip and... Donny and Eleanor were such treats, and a breath of fresh air from haughty and stuck-up Californians. I loved hearing about the story behind this cozy restaurant, and loved how homey everything (and everyone!) felt. Not to mention, the food was BOMB. I got the fried chicken, greens, and BBQ beans, and my boyfriend got the ribs, mac, and beans too. The chicken was suuuuper crispy and right out the fryer, the BBQ beans were DELICIOUS, and the greens were fantastic. I also stole a bit off his plate and the ribs were fall-off-the-bone delish. All I have to say is... if my boyfriend stops being the reason I visit Arkansas, I'll definitely go back for the food and service.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! The BBQ beans are THE BEST beans I have ever had! The chopped pork was made to perfection. We also had the coleslaw and fried okra. Delicious! Everyone was super nice and helpful. Hospitality is definitely in the name for a reason! Can't wait to come back!!! AMAZING!

Jerry L.

Yelp
We stopped today to try the ribs. The ribs were cook to perfection. Very moist and pulled off the bone. I got the greens and pinto beans. Best greens I have had in a long time. You have to try their fried pies. The apple pie was amazing. Staff was extremely friendly and service was top notch.

Billye B.

Yelp
We ate there on 7-9-22. I got the ribs and they were absolutely the best I've ever had. My friend got the pulled pork sandwich and said it was great. The sides of baked beans and slaw were wonderful, too. The service was friendly and attentive and the owner even told me where I could find some purple hulled peas for sale. A definite winner and we will be back!

Phyllis F.

Yelp
Wonderful lunch today! Had best catfish I think I ever have had and love the cooked cabbage. Boys had BBQ, Mac cheese, and onion rings- husband had chicken and pinto beans. All plates were bare when we left. Staff was so friendly and kind- will stop again when passing through Little Rock.

Amanda D.

Yelp
I was blown away by the service and oh my, the food. My partner asked if we should look at houses near by just so we could be regulars. The pecan pie melted in my mouth. One of the most memorable meals in a long while. Thank you.
google avatar

Yelp
Best BBQ meal I've had in a long time! Tables were spaced out, place was very clean, service excellent and friendly staff. I'll be going back there, can't believe I've never been until now! Andy

Yelp
Still good in the hood. Great friendly serve . Good selection of home food. Don't eat the catfish. Veggies all good.

Yelp
Just had a team lunch there this afternoon. The staff and owner are very hospitable. They greeted us with love and were very attentive. They made us all feel welcome. The food is on point!!!!!! No one had left overs and walked out full!!!! I wanted to thank the owners personally but they were busy. The wait staff was friendly and quick. I am not sure when I will be back in Arkansas but when I do I will be back here for their home cooking. I will let the soldiers know in Germany when ever they come to Arkansas to come here to eat. I wish I knew about this before place last week.

Yelp
This is a family owned business established in 1956. The ribs fall off the bone, the sides are really good. The beans were some of the best I've ever had. The fried okra was great desserts were fresh. The fried pies crispy and darn good German chocolate cake moist and very good. The location is a bit off putting but really worth this and many more visits. Mr. Lindsey the founders son was extremely generous, gracious and gave us a brief overview and history of his restaurant. I recommend Lindsay's for everyone who likes good BBQ and great food

michael d.

Yelp
THE best BBQ in town.Bishop Lindsey taught the son how to do it right.A family tradition.
