This is a must-visit experience for all ages. You'll learn where cacao is cultivated and how it's processed and packaged for consumption. You can see the machines in action and watch the workers as they carry out each step of the process. It's both fun and educational. Throughout the tour, you're treated to free chocolate samples, which makes it even more enjoyable. There's also an on-site café offering pastries, chocolate desserts, and fondue. Everything was clean, well-organized, and welcoming. I’ll be attaching photos with the prices so you can get an idea of what to expect.

They were so accommodating! I had a 3:45 pm workshop but they let me see and visit the museum a head of time in the morning to avoid the crowds. I was blown away with the design of the museum. The depth and information how it was displayed was so well thought out and really made the experience all the worthwhile. Thank you for sharing all the samples of chocolate and I cannot wait to bring my little daughters some time from US! They would adore this as much as I did. I highly recommend the workshop too - such a fun experience even if it is in all German. The teacher spoke some English but was easy to follow along!

Finding parking is hard. There is an underground parking garage with an existing to the top within 50 meters from it but only three locations to enter the underground parking. The museum was fantastic. We had planned to spend 3 hours there. We could have stayed so much longer and seen it all but we had to move on to our next event.

tasting was great! and for only 3 euro made it all the better, learning about the chocolate and the history was great. The nice lady who was guiding our tour was also beyond sweet and kind, made the experience all the better. If your coming to experience the museum, definitely consider the tasting as well.

The experience was awesome. You get tasty chocolate products and the knowledge experience was also very nice. You are shown all you need to know about history, production and manufacture and issues facing the coco industry. The museum is applicable for all ages and people, so get ready for a crowd. Location is also perfect, as you are able to shortly walk from there to the Cathedral as well as the central bridge.

I liked the place but it's a little too expensive because the museum doesn't provide any cute or interesting activities for kids or visitors and not enough free chocolates. I paid 42€ and I feel like it was waste of money. In my opinion and as a chocolate lover I expected more free chocolate samples for that price. Too much historical information and stuff nothing exciting or interesting. Maybe put some fun chocolate activities there. The staff were nice by the way especially the lady with glasses who welcomed me at the front gate and provided some information about tickets etc she was so kind and funny and cute 😍

A wonderful place to visit if you’re a chocolate lover or just curious about its history! The Chocolate Museum in Cologne offers a fascinating journey through the world of chocolate—from its ancient origins to modern production. The exhibits are well laid out, informative, and interactive, making it fun for both adults and kids. You can even watch real chocolate being made and try some samples. The riverside location adds to the experience. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Cologne!

A very fun museum near downtown Köln. Lots of information in German and English. We spent about 2-3 hours here and saw just about everything. It was not crowded and easy to get around. Cafe at the end has some excellent dishes. We did not stay in the hotel.
