Visit the world's largest chocolate museum in Zurich - SilverKris

"Opened on 13 September 2020 in Zurich, this chocolate-focused museum offers hands-on chocolate-making classes led by master chocolatiers, a digital interactive bean-to-bar exhibition, and a factory room where experts prepare the company's products. Visitors can enjoy unlimited chocolate samples throughout the visit and browse the on-site flagship shop — billed as the world's largest for the chocolatier — making it easy to stock up on bonbons to take home. The museum's crowning feature is an over nine-metre-high chocolate fountain, touted as the tallest of its kind, and the overall experience is presented as a major new tourist attraction in the city." - SilverKris

I really enjoyed my visit to the Lindt Home of Chocolate. The place is amazing and very well organized, and I enjoyed exploring all its sections. The museum has five different sections that explain the cultivation of cocoa, the chocolate-making process, and the history of chocolate and its spread around the world. The highlight of the visit was definitely tasting the chocolate and taking memorable photos in front of the impressive tall chocolate fountain at the entrance. The visit requires advance booking through their official website. There is a parking area available, but it is not free. They also provide audio guide devices in most languages, which makes the experience very informative. Additionally, lockers are available to store bags and coats, as these are not allowed inside the museum. I highly recommend visiting this place, especially for families with children. It’s both fun and educational.

Never enjoyed factory as much as this one. The kids liked it and so do I. U can taste several type of chocolates. I looked up on internet, it said that the ticket was fully booked. But on the last day of my visit in Zurich, I decided to go walk in and fortunately u can just come here and buy the ticket.

I visited the Lindt Home of Chocolate on 29 December 2025, and absolutely loved the experience. From the moment you enter, it feels magical — especially the stunning chocolate fountain at the entrance. The café was lovely and cosy, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hot chocolate was rich and delicious, and the desserts were beautifully presented. A perfect place to relax and enjoy high-quality chocolate treats after the museum visit. 🍫☕

We actually booked the Lindt Chocolate tour, along with old town walking tour and a boat cruise on lake Zurich. I would recommend this as your tour begins on a bus to see a bit of the city center and a posh neighbor up in the hills with views of the city and lake Zurich. Then there is a quick walk in old town, and the cruise to Lindt. Very interesting on the history of chocolate but the best part is the sampling of the chocolate!

Highly enjoyable experience especially if you have a sweet tooth! The chocolate tasting was like a dream come true! Very interactive and fun for children. We took our toddler (3.5yrs) who was too young to understand but he did love the interactive elements and especially the photos at the end of the tour! Huge bonus that there were free prams for loan at reception which made life easier with our tired little one. Beautiful souvenir shop although extremely expensive compared to UK prices!

Worth your time! The tickets were sold out online, so we arrived around opening time and were able to buy tickets at the entrance just fine. Unlimited chocolate + a very beautiful gallery about the history of chocolate and how Switzerland became famous for it. As a Mexican, I absolutely loved that they recognized the pre-hispanic origin of chocolate. The museum is interactive and you will not get bored. Be prepared to eat chocolate during the visit and get some complimentary truffles. The gift shop is also fantastic with every chocolate flavor you can imagine. Great experience!! 🍫🍫

We visited on 29 December around 4 pm without a booking. Museum tickets were sold out until January. Still, there is plenty to do without entering the museum. The giant chocolate fountain and photo spots are located in the main hall and do not require a ticket. There is also a Lindt shop and a café. A very good alternative was the virtual reality tour. I bought the tickets at the ticket desk on site for myself and my 8-year-old child. It was excellent. The price is 10 CHF per person. The experience takes place in a spacious auditorium. You receive VR set and sit on a comfortable chair that rotates 360 degrees. The VR journey lasts about 15–20 minutes and covers the history of cocoa, with flights over plantations, forests, and through the museum itself. At the end, you receive chocolate to take with you. Efficient, engaging, and enjoyable. The child was delighted.

One of the best experiences of my life. Everything is very organised, staff are well informed and attentive, very good amount of information in the museum and so much yummy choclote you can try as the part of your visit. Everything is very hygienic and the shop option to buy as much as choclote in any flavour you want is amazing. Especially considering how budget friendly the tickets are, this is a 10/10 experience for all ages and interests.
