Google
They have the absolute best food around. And they are fair on their prices I mean they had to go up a little but that's life nowadays. But they have the best egg rolls the best ribs the best fried rice and so on and so forth. I give them two thumbs and five stars all the way!! Delicious!

Nitin M.

Google
Batter raw, egg roll partially cooked. Wonton soup is basically brown water. Zero flavor. Give it up Ling Ling! You are no longer putting out quality food 👎🏿

Scott S.

Google
Great food and friendly staff. Ate in and food was served fast and they included an extra egg roll!

liz I.

Google
Go somewhere else. Their pick up times are god awful. You’ll be waiting 45+ minutes for your order. Definitely do NOT order on doordash. They do NOT prioritize these orders.

Adam L.

Google
Order was misleading. It came with eggs and the shrimp was not fried and the dish was covered in sauce. When I called the restaurant they were completely rude and unapologetic and blamed me for ordering wrong. It was only when I said I would never order again and put a low star review is when they were willing to refund me and make the order correctly. Never ordering from them again!

Mary E.

Google
I should of came to Google to see rating. I was ordering on GrubHub and it has a 4.8 rating so I figured it'll be Great. Didn't mind the price until small quantity of food arrived. Jumbo ckn wings are not jumbo. I ordered everything separate assuming I would have a good amount of food. Taste wise, it taste fresh. No heavy oils but lacking some flavor for me. Overall it was just okay to me. From out of town so I'll keep looking for the one that does it RIGHT.

George

Google
Truly disappointed the lady to which I spoke with was ignorant and rude, I pay for a delivery and get food made wrong. Well she wanted me to bring the food in, lady it was delivered and I'm not able to get there, response " well we give you credit on next order" will not be one from me.

Amaya B.

Google
Food is disgusting. Service is terrible. Go to another restaurant where the owners will respect you.

Yelp
Ling Ling will always be my favorite. I love the consistency in flavor, the food is always clean (meaning I never bite a nasty piece). The value is on point. My absolute favorite spring roll
google avatar

Rick R.

Yelp
I like the combo dinners, they come with an egg roll. My fav is the Sesame chicken with brown rice, and they are fast!

Yelp
One of my favorite Chinese take out spots. The crispy sesame is the top menu item in my opinion. Food is always hot and fast. A go too for my family!

Yelp
Ling Lings on Elmwood in Kenmore is the only restaurant along Grant st, Elmwood, Delaware and Main st that I've found that makes shrimp toast. I've been on two excursions and checked at least 15 places, from Allentown to the Village of Kenmore. Ling Lings's make it perfectly fried, crisp all over, but nice and crispy on the toast side, and tender crispy on the shrimp side. I think they should put a sign in the window! LOL And as a bonus, the other night I found out they make some pretty kick ass Chicken Lo Mein. Best I've had in a while. Excellent quality chicken, almost TOO much, green onions, nice noodles and they made it spicy for me. I think they may be seeing me at least once a week! Don't be discouraged when you walk in. This is a dive Guy Fieri should visit! These folks put out some quality food.

Yelp
Pretty decent Chinese restaurant. I ordered take out and I love trying the same thing at different places so I can judge based off that. My standard meal is Crab Ragoons, an egg roll & Shrimp Mei Fun. The crab ragoons were made with the crispy 4 corners, which I personally like better than the standard twisty top. The inside had some extra herbal spices that I haven't had in any others I tried. They weren't bad, but I could do without the extra spices. The Shrimp Mei fun was awesome! Might be one of the best I've had simply because they add more soy sauce in it while cooking so I don't have to add it as I eat it. I also love that they kept the egg to the one side and there were lots of veggies. It was very good! The eggroll was average. I would definitely order from here again!

Yelp
Ordered some take out here for the last cheat meal of 2020 and I have nothing but nice things to say about the food. I don't get anything too exciting - chicken teriyaki sticks, sweet and sour chicken, white rice - but I really enjoyed the food! It's definitely the best sweet and sour chicken I've had compared to other places. I think this may be our go to spot for any future Chinese take out!

Yelp
This was my first time ordering from here. From reading the reviews, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the General Tzo's Combination dinner, with Pork Fried Rice, a pork egg roll & then a won ton soup . The soup was good, but there were only 2 won tons in it. The rice was good, the egg roll was ok,but the extra Spicy General Tzo's was VERY GOOD !! No one ever makes it at the spiciness I want it, but finally, a place did, what I didn't think was ever to be possible ! They did it my way. It was a little pricier than most fast food Chinese restaurants, but the Chicken was worth it. I've definitely had better rice & egg rolls though. They share a pretty small parking lot with a few other Asian markets/stores, etc. It's also very tiny inside. Too claustrophobic for me to ever sit down to eat. Otherwise, not to bad !

Yelp
Solid Chinese takeout with limited indoor seating. My family tried this out because it was close to my husband's route home and near the place I rehearse, and we decided to have dinner together in between swapping the kids. We didn't have to wait long after ordering to get our food. My husband was underwhelmed by his General Tso's because the meat had a strange texture to him but my crispy sesame chicken was good: crispy as promised with good quality chicken. One of my sons enjoyed his orange chicken. The other son had chicken nuggets, but they don't have ketchup despite this menu accommodation for picky eaters, so that's something to consider when dining in. I wish our local Chinese restaurant had chicken nuggets. It's tempura style like McDonald's. Of course our son is so finicky he prefers the inferior breaded nuggets at BK or Wendy's, even Tyson. What can you do? My eyes were bigger than my stomach so I ordered the 10 crab wanton special for under $6. It's a very generous portion meant for sharing, and not those smaller bite size crab wantons like buffets offer, but only I eat it. A good value, but a meal unto itself unless you share. Service is friendly. Prices are competitive. I wouldn't make a special trip but it does the job if you live or work in the area.

Yelp
Our first time ordering from here wasn't perfect but since then we've had two great experiences with their food! The dumplings were the standout of the meal for me! The flavor and softness of the dough was shocking to me compared to other gyoza I've had recently. The Rangoons that I was craving this time were delicious which makes it a 5/5 for me! We will definitely keep ordering from here!

Yelp
I was really disappointed in this place - granted I had some very americanized chinese food basics, nothing authentic or specialty, but what I had checked all the boxes of horrible. 1. Picked up my food at exactly the time they said it would be ready, and everything was cold. 2. Sesame chicken is described on their menu as "sauteed with scorched red peppers in a sesame seed sauce" and there were zero peppers of any form in it. 3. The wontons in the wonton soup were mushy and falling apart. 4. Mediocre egg roll 5. They did not add a side of sweet and sour sauce as requested. We wont be back.

Yelp
So I visited Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant and it was mediocre not what everyone in Kenmore states is the best Chinese food in Buffalo, NY. I placed an order of Shrimp Fried Rice with Fried Chicken Wings which is my to go to plate in any Chinese restaurant, I wasn't impressed. I mean it was not the worst food I've ever had but surely not the best one. The rice I think was over seasoned and the shrimp wasn't really fresh it had that old taste of as the shrimp had been out of the refrigerator for a long time. The chicken wings again were over seasoned in my opinion to the point it overwhelmed my palette and they were over cooked also. This is their claim of Fame: "Ling Ling Chinese Restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine and delicious tasting Szechuan, Hunan, & Cantonese dishes in Kenmore, NY. Ling Ling's convenient location and affordable prices make our restaurant a natural choice for dine-in or take-out meals in the Kenmore community. Our restaurant is known for its variety in taste and high quality fresh ingredients. Come and experience our friendly atmosphere and excellent service." Sorry but Ling Ling is not authentic Chinese cuisIne by any means, their pricing is affordable I will give them that. But then again their ingredients are definitely not "high quality or even fresh" as they claim. The atmosphere is not that of friendly or excellent, when I arrived they try to get you out as quickly as possible which I can appreciate but it is that of any fast food Chinese restaurant nothing special. I won't recommend this restaurant to be honest, again it's mediocre nothing special. I'm not stating they are the worst but not my choice to be exact.

Yelp
So so good!!! My husband loved the crab rangoon so much that I didn't even get any! We also ordered the veggie lo mein, pork fried rice, sesame chicken, veggie and pork egg rolls, and egg drop soup. Everything was fresh and fabulous. This is the best Chinese food we've had in years. We will absolutely be eating this again and again! Yea!
google avatar

Yelp
Let me add...their chicken wings are to die for!!! So crispy...so greasy....so yummy!
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
First time. Ordered via Uber Eats - arrived in just over an hour. Hot and Sour Soup ... the worst I ever had; neither hot nor sour. Orange chicken with Fried Rice ... the chicken was quite good, but the rice had very little of the typical ingredients. The rice was pretty disappointing. Pork Egg Rolls - very good (they have extra) Egg drop soup ... flavorless Shrimp with Lobster sauce ... also bland, but my roommate actually liked it that way. Shrimp Egg Roll - also very good Would I order again? Probably not - too much wrong, and NO FORTUNE COOKIES!!!

Yelp
The service is not the best, but the food is good. I called to place an order for pick up, the person taking my order was thorough but short. The order was ready exactly on time. I paid cash and, again, the person was short. When I arrived home, my food was very hot and delicious. I don't mind the customer service being short, because that can be a cultural difference. The main thing I worry about is the taste of the food. The lo me in, sesame chicken, egg drop soup, and egg roll were all very good. Overall, I will be back.

Yelp
Ordered takeout recently from here for my wife, brother, and myself. They're just down the street from where I live. When I got home I noticed we were missing the chicken lo mein. I called and they were very nice and apologetic. I went back and they had it ready for me and give us several free egg rolls and extra fortune cookies, which was nice and appreciated. The food was all really good. I especially enjoyed the crab Rangoons. But the main course was just what you would expect from good Chinese fast food.

Yelp
I had my first experience with Ling Ling's earlier this month due to being such a close distance to my house. I ordered 5 shrimp egg rolls and an order of the crab Rangoon's (Yes all for ME)! The shrimp egg rolls were very flavorful. I do wish the shrimp coating wasn't so soggy. The crab Rangoon's seemed a bit under flavored with crab meat or at least the sweet taste mixed into the cream cheese. So instead it had more of a tart cream cheese flavor instead of sweet and savory. They were however fried to perfection. This place is obvs the hot spot bc I pulled up around 8:30pm and it was jumping! I also liked their social distancing window they have instead of coming inside and they provided hand sanitizer for afterwards. I will try some other items on the menu as what I ordered on this diet go around wasn't all that bad. Until we meet again Ling Ling!

Yelp
I'm originally from the Bronx so I'm pretty particular about my fried rice. Ling ling is lowkey the answer to my prayers when it comes to city style Chinese food in Buffalo. The rice had fresh shrimp with peas and onions. My wings were fried hard just like I like them. I couldn't be more thankful yo find this place. I've lived here three weeks and have ordered from them three times!

Yelp
Can't do quick tip- under new ownership. Not as good as it had been. Sad since we were regulars.

Dan K.

Yelp
This is decent takeout food to say the least. I've ordered from these them a good amount of times since I moved into the city. And I will have to admit that it's good. Normally I get my stuff ordered for takeout and they have no problems getting the food to me especially on Uber eats. I do have a recommendation for food, I would recommend trying their sesame chicken with pork fried rice and their fried wontons. I get that almost every time and it is good for a decent meal. I normally get myself a couple of things so I have at least two meals out of it and it doesn't run the bill terribly large. I will admit that I have an actually step foot in the restaurant itself, but I will look forward to actually going in there to order one of these days.
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
Update. I thought I'd given them another try now that they have been operating for a while under these new covid guidelines. Food was hot when it came. Plenty of rice included in each entree. I order the spare ribs. Would have preferred them saucy. They were dry looking but pretty decent. Lots of flavor. The pork lo mein was very wet. Also a lot of veggies included in there. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
google avatar

Nathan L.

Yelp
REALLY bad order last night. Ordered 6 different dishes, five of them were inedible. Don't know what has happened to this place- used to be our go to place. Not any more.
google avatar

Brittany H.

Yelp
By far one of my favorite Chinese takeout restaurants in Buffalo. They are quick, accurate and their food is consistently delicious! I personally have never physically been there but when it comes to ordering out this is my go to place. The sesame chicken is always crispy and full of flavor.

Peter G.

Yelp
I use to love going to Ling Lings . Several times a month I'd be there either for lunch or supper. A while ago I went in and noticed the article, from the Buffalo Snooze, with the owners picture was gone from the wall. Also noted there was no one working that I recognized save one cook. I ordered my Hunan Chicken and the "chicken" was in tiny pieces and did not taste like it always did. Tried it again a few weeks later with the same results. I'm thinking that they have new owners and this is NOT the Ling Lings that I came to love. So sorry to see this but I've heard the same thoughts from others. Sad

Yelp
Far and away the best Chinese of its kind Large menu mostly take out I love eating there Only quibble their success on Grubhub means a wait for walk ins

Biao C.

Yelp
This restaurant is so bad. The employees are so rude and the food taste so bad. DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE! They are not sanitary at all. If you don't want to get sick, don't eat here! (由 Google 翻译) 这家餐厅太糟糕了。员工很粗鲁,食物味道很差。不要来到这个商店!Chicken Lo Mein

Mer D.

Yelp
Granted we tried Ling Ling for the first time on Christmas and they were very busy. The food was very bad, the General Tso Chicken was burnt and half the pieces tasted as if there was no chicken and just breading. The sesame chicken was just downright inedible, it was burnt breading that had nothing inside. What looked like a huge piece of chicken, crumbled with no moisture or chicken to be found. Only saving grace was the Crab Rangoon which was tasty but it's pretty hard to mess that up.
google avatar

Tri D.

Yelp
It's a mom and pop hole in the wall establishment. Very cost appropriate. I've been coming here for years when going to school here. Get it for take out. Love the Lo Mein with chicken. Also a highlight is the orange chicken, it has candied orange rind in it which is a nice touch. Love It!
google avatar

George G.

Yelp
I have to say this might be my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of Buffalo, NY. I've seen what people have written about this place and it's bullshit. I've been all over and you can't beat what this little hole in wall place can give you. It's cheap, tastes amazing, and service and people are so nice and friendly. For starters I've probably had just about everything on this menu. Nothing is horrible and there's more greatness than there is anything wrong. The portion sizes are amazing! Not many places can you spend $20 and get a feast! My personal favorites are the fried rices, lo mein, sweet and sour chicken, and pretty much all of the appetizers ESPECIALLY THE EGG ROLLS! I come home just to get a bag of egg rolls they're that good. Don't let other reviews fool you and take my advice this is great for what you pay and more. I'd fully recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Cory W.

Yelp
I've been ordering Ling Ling for years and I've never really had a complaint. From the top down everything on their menu has always been great. Just last week I ordered General Tso, Chicken Lo Mein, and crab Rangoon. Not only was the food excellent but the portions were massive, easily enough for multiple meals.

Melissa H.

Yelp
Update: the delivery driver called me screaming at me for complaining. He was yelling and angry and this is so unbelievably unprofessional. I needed to block his number. Stay away from this unprofessional business. They will insist you pay cash. Wanted to pay with a card but they were very pushy. When I told them that I will need change because I only have $20 dollar bills they agreed and said not a problem at all. I told them I had $60 and the bill came to $42.50 they assured me they would have enough change again. When the driver arrived he grabbed the $60 and tried walking off. I told him that I needed change and after him saying he had no change over and over, he finally pulled out $10. When I asked him about why when I placed the order they told me I needed to pay cash but I could get change back he just walked away saying sorry. I called to complain and they were absolutely no help. I always tip delivery drivers very well but don't think they should assume that they get a $17 tip. It's such a bad business practice to pressure customers to pay cash and then not have adequate change available. Good food but don't fall for this scam.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know what happened to this place. I first ordered from there a few months ago, and everything was fantastic. However, in the last month, I have ordered there twice, and the food was AWFUL. Maybe they changed chefs? They also have two different websites to order, and one of them doesn't take credit cards, so you have to pay cash. Both of the websites ask you if you have special instructions -- but they obviously don't read your requests. I asked for extra duck sauce the last two times, and I didn't get it. Why ask what we want, if you don't pay attention to it? What was really lousy the last time was the pu-pu platter. The ribs and pot-stickers were burned to a crisp, and were flavorless besides. The shrimp toast was so soaked in grease, it was literally dripping. The rest of the items were so heavily breaded, there was virtually nothing inside them. Utterly tasteless and awful. The lo mein was so salty, it was inedible. The vegetable fried rice had hardly any vegetables in it. The only things that were good were the wontons in the wonton soup. they had a nice flavor of ginger, and they weren't too chewy. I will never go back there again. Really, really awful food.
google avatar

Dylan S.

Yelp
Just ordered delivery. When it arrived the order was wrong because they didn't have what I wanted despite it being on the menu. Instead of calling to ask what else I would want they just chose for me. When I called to have it corrected they told me to contact Skip The Dishes and get my money back. When I told him that's not how it works he apologized and asked me to agree not to leave a review. When I said I would still review he asked me to never order from them but wouldn't agree to fix it.
google avatar

Sarah K.

Yelp
It is late, close to 11pm....we ordered. With that in mind the large general Tso's and two eggrolls did the trick for a late night dinner after work. It was busy. They only took cash. I got to take my own sauces though! It was all I expected it to be.

Nate M.

Yelp
This is a great spot and the food is great, is it amazing! Yes sometimes but its certianly not poor. I read a few reviews and actually am disgusted by the ones with really bad reviews. YOUR ORDERIMG TAKE OUT!!! DID YOU EXPECT THE BEST MEAL EVER!!! Im taking 10 min out of my day to congradulate this resteraunt with excellent food and service as well as the hope people who leave horrible reviews read this and stop doing that. This establishment is not your birthday dinner out 5 star resteraunt and they do not deserve any review that terrible , you are an issjole And to someone like donald s below who had one bad experiance with one person at the counter, plz read above, directly above because your post is directly contridicting his , so your probably just not nice and need to rethink how you approach people in the food industry before you call someone u proffeaional, we cant all be professional food blogger issjoles like

Hannah D.

Yelp
I LOVED everything I ordered from here. The crab Rangoon is obviously my favorite, I did feel like they might of cooked them different from the last time I had it but it still delicious.
google avatar

Ryan O.

Yelp
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants. Their General Tso's chicken is my of my all time favorites and usually pair with the vegetable Lo Mein. These have the perfect balance of sweet and spice. The egg rolls are amazing too, some of the best in the area. The wonton soup is great on cold nights during the winter and isn't too salty either. The dumplings are also a delicious addition as an appetizer. When ordering take out it usually is longer than expected for delivery (roughly 30 mins longer) so just plan accordingly. The food is worth the wait if you are planning a night in.
google avatar

Donald S.

Yelp
When you walk in, the place looks like your standard fast food place. But hold it. The food is great, the size is always bigger than the container. The counter lady is out of this world. Friendly, helpful, and great smile. Thank you to mrs. ling ling for a great place for a meal.
google avatar

Barbara C.

Yelp
Ordered from Skip the Dishes. Food arrived hot and as ordered. Really good wonton soup. Also ordered chop suey, lo mein, egg foo young and some dumplings, all better than average; not greasy or too salty.

Pamela J.

Yelp
I have eaten here a few times and the food is good, however, Friday night I ordered Lo Mein take out and I found a fish hook in my food!!! I will never eat there again and if I could give zero stars I would!!
google avatar

Lappa C.

Yelp
they've disappointed me for the last time! rotten shrimp ! dumplings sour ? wtf! no excuse . i've spends hundreds of dollars at this place and i'm done the handling of food is a serious responsibility , food borne illnesses are the most common sickness that goes undiagnosed. this place needs to go for serve safe training again , not sure they ever took the class. don't waste your money or risk your life.
google avatar

Keith B.

Yelp
They did not include part of an order and told me when I called that I never ordered the item. To make matters worse, the delivery man berated my brother over the tip. Rude, inattentive service. Never again!!!

Vijay P.

Yelp
I ordered duck and pork fried with rice but it tasted bland with more of skin fat in duck. Not a good choice. Not worth of ordering again!
google avatar

Tiffany M.

Yelp
I ordered off Skip the Dishes tonight. I ordered the wonton soup and chicken with steamed vegetables. The soup was good, but the vegetables were not cooked enough. To top it off we had no chicken! We called the restaurant and they accused us of of lying and screamed at us on the phone! Their food is very average, and you could get better food and service elsewhere. Cooks make mistakes, but I won't support a business that treats customers like that.

Darin D.

Yelp
I have ordered from Ling Lings for years they raised the prices and the portion sizes are much smaller. I have no problem with the price increase but cutting the portions in almost half is terrible. I guess I will be looking for a new place to order since charging almost ten dollars a plate for 3 pieces of shrimp and a scoop of rice is not acceptable.
google avatar

Henry Z.

Yelp
Ever since moving to Kenmore a little over four years ago, this has been our go-to Chinese place. It is close to the house and the food is always promptly ready. Though, it seems like the cooks changed recently. As with most order-out places, we tend to not deviate from a few meals that are standard and consistent e.g., boneless spare ribs, General Tso's chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken or shrimp with broccoli. The appetizers have always been good as well. A plus is that they often really stuff the pint and quart containers so much so that they have to wrap it in a bag. This happened the last few times we ordered lo mein. Overall, it's inexpensive, generally tasty Chinese food; I've had better and I've had worse. Needless to say, we keep going back.

Jolin C.

Yelp
They pick up stuff that has fallen on the ground and put it in food. also, the manners were very bad. Do not recommend.

Queen K.

Yelp
No No No!! Food is not fresh at all! No vegetables in the rice except two peas. I would bet this restaurant does not follow codes by the quality of their food.. wasted $50 extremely dissatisfied with everything we ordered. How is this place still open ?? :(
