Lingr was a great experience from start to finish. We didn’t have a reservation, but the owner was able to accommodate us. We ordered quite a few different apps and entrees and each had a unique set of flavors. You definitely have to be in the mood for this type of food because it’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. Service was top notch and the atmosphere is on point. Great addition to a particular area of downtown without many dining options.

Lingr not only serves a fantastic variety of food but, the space, and staff are also fantastic. Our server Elijah was very nice and helpful when we had questions. They gave us some great recommendations as well. They even gave us the instragram account of the person who made the espresso cups after they saw us thoroughly examining them. The bar tender also came by to show us the coffee version of the cup. We got the spare ribs special, the crudo, the lions mane dish, the calamari, and the shrimp dumplings for dinner. All of these options were amazing but, my personal favorite was the ribs and calamari. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Get ready for a taste explosion! I had dinner here on Saturday with a friend and was completely blown away by the flavors and textures of every single dish. I almost hesitate to write this review because I know it won’t be long before it will be impossible to get a table here. It’s all in the pics but I had the smoked lions mane mushroom appetizer and the spicy garlic shrimp wonton. The chef is an expert at layering flavors and textures and you’ll definitely noticed that in the lions mane dish. I also enjoyed the pan seared salmon entrée with Szechuan and braised cabbage. The fish was cooked to perfection and again, the flavor profile was astonishing. You may think that you have tried some more dishes in the past, but believe me this is a whole new level. My friend had the steamed bao app and grouper entree and raved about both. In my estimation, this restaurant has one of the premier wine lists in DTSP. Are you usually disappointed by the selection of wines by the glass and other restaurants? I am too, but my expectations were greatly surpassed at Lingr. The sommelier did an excellent job and making these selections, and I need to give a special shout out to the bartender, Max, who really made the experience perfect. It was an extraordinary meal and every course was timed perfectly by Max. The decor is very interesting and the ambience inside was beautifully simple and elegant, clean and modern. It really is an amalgam of Scandinavian and Asian influences - just like the cuisine. Next time, I’m going to try the outside dining area. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the inside dining area other than the bar, where we sat for our meal. Check out the pics - I can’t wait to go back this week!

With amazing service and wonderful food and was cocktails, Lingr needs to be on every foodies list of restaurants to go in St. Petersburg. We came on a slow night and were seen promptly by our hosts. Our service team was amazing. They made sure to go out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We started with a few cocktails including the Wood and the Gardener. Both were amazing Our appetizers were shrimp dumplings and the Crudo with watermelon gazpacho. Both wires 10/10 and would order again For the main, we ordered the grouper which was deliciously crispy, buttery with a delightful accompaniment of mini potatoes and onions in a smoked trout roe beurre bland sauce. Truly a star of the menu. It was plated wonderfully, but in our excitement, we took a few bites before we got a photo. We finished off the dinner with chocolate cake with cardamom ice cream which was rich, sweet and offered layers on layers of flavor. If I’ve read this far, you should just go and see for yourself. You stop not regret it.

Walking into the minimalist space, curiosity lingers over how the Nordic and Cantonese-inspired cuisine will be? Well it’s simply exceptional. From crafted cocktails to dessert, everything is a blend of deliciousness. The grouper and duck breast are equally satisfying and cooked to perfection. Plus the Brunost poundcakey cheesecake is a heavenly slice to savor. Highly recommended.

Our server and other wait staff were spot on. Incredible service and incredible food..new favorite restaurant in st. Pete! They did such a great job explaining the dishes! Absolutely delicious..perfect amount of heat and salt. Will come here again and again.

Google
What a freaking GEM downtown St Pete. Not the same 15 items on a menu here, dishes and ingredients I have never heard of and they are fantastic. I could literally fill this review by talking about their bread and butter, no joke fire! Smoked Lion's Mane Mushrooms, Snapper Crudo, Fish Cakes, and Cured Salmon were amazing. The cocktails were very original and made perfectly. Service was stellar and we will be back many times.

Google
Such creative and delicious dishes! I always order octopus if it's on the menu, and this is one of the best versions I've had yet, with a multitude of interesting and complex flavors from the smoked yogurt, charred onion powder, dill oil, umeboshi and yuzu gels, and puffed rice! The crudo was as delicious as it was beautiful, and the smoked lion's mane mushrooms on the warm and flavorful sami bread is something I'll probably have to order at any future visits here. And finally, all of their desserts sounded amazing, so I had to try all 3! The ice creams that came with them, one milk tea and one cardamom, were incredible, perfectly creamy and with such interesting flavors. Can't wait to return to try more of the menu!

Yelp
Go! Go! Go! It is my opinion that Lingr is the best restaurant in St. Petersburg. From the moment you walk in you are blown away by the simple details. The host was very warm and pleasant. After making our way to the table we were greeted by our server, Eli, who was a wealth of knowledge. He walked us through the menu and helped us make our choices. We started with the Aquavit that was a great way to warm up the meal. The homemade recipe reminded us of Norway! Next came the unexpectedly delightful amuse bouche which was a citrus beet topped with a dollop of farmers cheese. I don't like beets, but I enjoyed this small bite immensely! We made our way through the most delicious calamari I have ever tasted. It was tender and lightly crisped. Nothing like the deep fried rubber rings you get at other places. This was divine! We also tried the pumpkin dumplings and blue oyster dumplings. Both fantastic, but nothing like that calamari! For the entree the grouper was perfect! Expertly cooked with a light burr blanc. The smoked trout roe gave a nice pop. It was complimented by charred leaks and little heavenly butter poached potato bites. The whole dish was tasty! My friend had the pineapple filet that looked great as well. He ate every bite so safe to say that was also a hit! Finally, the cocktails. Incredible! I tasted the Wood - a play on the old fashion. It was a nice Japanese eye with subtle citrus notes floating through. The table also had the BD2 and Colleen. All three were raved about. In all you just have to go and experience Lingr. This is not just another night out, it's a culinary journey and experience worth exploring that will not disappoint. Kudos to Chef Jeffrey Jew for the amazing experience!

Yelp
Excellent selection of dim sum My friends and I shared crab and curry balls, shrimp toasts, lamb belly bao buns, fried rice, and wok fried fish. Crab and curry- perfect mix of spices 10/10 Shrimp toast - tasted almost like a crab cake. Very flavorful 10/10 Lamb belly was over cooked a little charred- 4/10 Fried rice - very good 9/10 Service was excellent The iced tea was good but they didn't give free refills and need to let customers know. Really enjoyed the atmosphere, very clean and open with natural light.

Yelp
Lingr is fine dining at a more reasonable price. It's Cantonese Norwegian fusionm The outside doesn't look like a restaurant, and the sign by the curb is from a previous company. They have a parking lot which is convenient for drivers. The service is also of fine dining and very attentive. I highly recommend the Shrimp dumplings, the fish, the chicken was great. The chicken had great flavor. The amuse Boucheron to start and the cookies at the end were nice touches. Definitely give it a try.

Yelp
The experience, food, ambiance, and service is impeccable! Many locals don't know this place exists. I will help spread the word! From the time we walked in, my friend and I were greeted. As we sat down we were informed about the type of establishment and menu. My friend received a drink from the bar that is soon to be on their new menu. Everything we ordered was fresh. I was glad to see they get their greens from Brick Street Farms. We also received cute little ginger cookies post dinner. Wish they were bigger, but they totally hit the spot!

Yelp
We enjoyed a quiet date night here recently. The decor and ambiance are upscale Scandi-chic and most diners understood the assignment. The stand outs for us were the shrimp dumplings and the grouper special. We did not care for the fish cakes much at all and the mushroom bao bun wasn't really my cup of tea, although I typically enjoy mushrooms. The duck dish was interesting to try and beautiful on the plate, but not nearly as exciting to taste compared to the dumplings and the grouper. We also tried the Limonene and Limeade mocktails and enjoyed them very much. Will have to test out the creative cocktails next time, because the mixologist seems legit.

Yelp
What a hidden gem!! An unassuming facade leads you into a dimly-lit, romantic dining area. My husband took me here for a surprise dinner, and from the ambiance, to the service, to the food, it was a delightful evening! Who would have thought that Cantonese Scandinavian food would work so well togtherer? After complimentary sparkling water and an amazingly fresh and delicious spicy mushroom soup amuse bouche, we couldn't decide on just one appetizer so we got three (worth it): (1) rye and milk bread (the latter tasted like a soft popover, the former was delicious, unsweetened rye bread with a great texture) with whipped sea buckthorn butter, (2) literally the best shrimp dumplings I've ever had, from the flavor of the shrimp to the quality and texture of the dumpling shell, AMAZING, and (3) a shiitake bao bun, which my husband and I split (that was the lesser of the three, looked amazing, but the scant mushroom innards got absorbed by the doughy bao bun, still good, but not as good as the other two). For entrees, I got the pan seared grouper with vegetable jook (a Korean rice porridge). I was suuuuper torn between this and the salmon, so I'll have to come back. At first I was worried the grouper looked fried, but it just had a thin crispy outer edge which led to juicy, flaky white flesh. There was limited seasoning on the fish because it was meant to be eaten with the EXTREMELY flavorful porridge. Some might be wary of the look/consistency, but as a fan of goopy things (oatmeal, stews, etc.), I loved every last bite. I didn't imagine rice porridge could be so flavorful! My husband got the wok fried Florida fresh catch (red snapper) over crispy black rice, which I might have stolen half of because it was soooo good. The accompanying sauce was super flavorful, a little went a very long way (in a good way)! All of this was accompanied by excellent wine! Their sauvignon blanc was crisp, dry (yet fruity), and refreshing, and their sparkling rose was one of the best I've ever had, not too sweet yet not too tart. We were too full for dessert, but we're able to squeeze in their AMAZING complimentary coconut macaroons. I'd go back just for those! Overall, this was a wonderful evening and such a special surprise!

Yelp
We had an excellent server who knew the menu inside and out. Ambiance has a danish simplistic feel. Recommend trying everything on the menu and will be back for another visit

Yelp
The food here was phenomenal! I ordered the mushroom dumplings for an appetizer and the petite filet for my entree. Our server did an excellent job making recommendations and explaining the menu. Everything was so good, I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Great place for dinner - vibe is cozy, romantic. Service was good, food and drinks had a unique twist. The restaurant itself is unassuming and is tucked away off by the highway. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, it's a mix of Norwegian / Cantonese. Would definitely go back!

Yelp
I love this place so much ! For a starter we had bread 8/10 (why would it cost $10 though ) and shrimp dumplings 7/10 (very simple, I wish they were fried ) I ordered grouper and my ex ordered mahi mahi. I rate my fish 10/10, he rates his 8/10. We will come back 100%

Yelp
Secret little perfect restaurant! It's an easy place to miss but don't! The sign says Neptune outside. Food is amazing. Recommend making a reservation. Amazing service! We were actually somewhere else but the chef was sick. We called here and even though they were crowded Nate assured us he would hold us a table. Great recommendations for our server. Below is pictures but I'm not sure what we ordered other than how good it was! It's not a cheap restaurant but it was worth every penny!

Yelp
After Lingr dim sum service was recommended to me by at least 5 people, I just had to make the special Sunday reservation and give it a try. It was a very humbling experience dining here, as I quickly realized that Tampa Bay does in fact have a cast system and I will never be on the level to eat at "casual-fine dining," nor am I inclined to appreciate the level of service and complexity of flavors that they offer. To me, the flavors are mismatched and overpriced. The same ingredient profiles with well-matched flavors can be found elsewhere in Tampa Bay. I'm not talking about authenticity, but I feel that one is over-paying to experience someone else's untested science project, recipes not yet refined. While I've eaten at many highly experimental restaurants that have delicious and well-balanced food worldwide, I was not getting that same feeling at Lingr. Every dish I tasted was overly salty. Putting the original inspiration dishes aside, the dishes were pre-mixed and had a heavy dark soy sauce flavor. Dark soy should only be used for coloring, in most cases. The dumplings were swimming in a bath of sauce to the point where the temperature cannot even be controlled. The XLB, was not even texturally soupy or weighted and the filling was so pre-minced that it almost tasted like chorizo. The main dish that was recommended by others on social media is the Hong Kong French Toast, which also salty, slightly dry, and not fluffy like the Hong Kong version. The handmade texture of the Lo Mein noodles were fabulous, but again too salty. The hot tea service being poured by the cup is a bit odd, where the tea is too hot to drink. For the price paid, just leave the pot on the table please. This is going to be another review that gets flagged and then I get personally contacted by an employee to tell me that I have an "unsophisticated palette." I never claimed to have a good palette but as someone posting on Yelp, I have the right to an unsophisticated opinion. Thank you. It was a 2 star experience for me, but adding another star to support the concept.

Yelp
If youre looking for a fine dining option in St Pete that's off the beaten path, you should try Lingr because of the interesting Nordic and Asian-inspired menu. I have not seen this type of fusion any where in Tampa Bay. Chef Jew is an alumnus of Bravo's "Top Chef" and executive chef at one of my favorite Italian restaurants (Bella Brava) so it was worth the high prices to try out his new creation. Fair warning the menu is limited and the portions are European size (i.e. small) which i think is the "nordic" part. Being a short menu, we were very pleased to see a few plant based options so we reserved a table for our anniversary. We ordered the following: + SMOKED LION'S MANE AND TRUMPET MUSHROOMS WITH BRUNOST, HAWTHORN CREAM, CHILI OIL, AND SEA BUCKTHORN ON SAMI BREAD + SMOKED TOFU AND MOO SHU VEGETABLE DUMPLINGS +CHAR SIU STYLE SHIITAKE AND GAI LAN STEAMED BAO Everything was delicious. All of the favors marry nicely together. It's definitely more on the Asian side than Nordic side. There are lots of good looking seafood options (another nod to the Nortic side) which is great for the seafood lovers. I would also love to see what else he can do with tofu.

Yelp
Two reviews into one (Dinner + Brunch - just opened) The first time going to lingr was during dinner. Love the ambiance and reminds me of NYC vibes. Service was spot on and you can tell everything is made fresh, especially the dumplings. I liked everything I ordered except wasn't too crazy about the mushroom bao and the mushroom toast but overall, I did enjoy my meal. Things I ordered: - Smoked lion's mane and trumpet mushrooms with brunost, hawthorn cream, chili oil, and sea buckthorn on sami bread - Char siu style shiitake and gai lan steamed bao - Spicy chili garlic shrimp dumpling - GF-crudo with citrus buttermilk, lotus root, szechuan pepper oranges, and dill oil - Wok fried florida fresh catch with fermented black beans, ginger soy, fan jiu, and herb vinaigrette They recently opened for brunch too! honestly, I liked to dinner menu better and some of the items were salty. such as lo-mein noodles and shrimp toast. however, the dumplings were always spot on. Things I ordered: - Green salad - Lo Mein *pretty salty - Shrimp toast *pretty salty - Wagyu Beef and Black Garlic dumplings - Xiao Long Bao

Yelp
We came here for date night on a Friday night. It's a bit hidden in terms of location because there's a big Neptune sign in the front. But it's in a very nice new clean building. We didn't have a reservation so we had to sit by the bar but that was okay for us. The waitress, Sydney was the best! She took time to explain the whole menu! She was so knowledgeable about each item and I appreciated that so much! I got the "water" cocktail and it was refreshing and airy. It was light and just the perfect drink for me. My fiancé got the metal drink but I liked water a lot more. The drinks are very pricy $16 each but it was good and very unique. We got a small serving of some version of hot and sour soup in the beginning. It was sooo good!! As for the food, we got the char mushroom dumpling bao and shrimp dumplings. The char mushroom bao was so soo good! My favorite! The flavor was just terrific. My fiancé doesn't like mushrooms but he sure liked that! And he ate it without a complaint! The shrimp dumplings were good but the sauce was way too salty for me. My fiancé got the $75 ribeye medium (as Sydney recommended) and it was soo good! It was tender, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I got the noodles and it was good but too salty for my taste, however my fiancé loved it. They were so nice that they took off the noodles off our bill because I didn't eat it. That was sooo nice! The ambiance was very nice, romantic, clean, elegant and modern. It was a very nice date night setting and we will be back!

Yelp
We finally managed to get into Lingr and I am glad we had a chance to visit. We first met Jeff at CellarMasters some time ago where we first heard about the restaurant when it opened. The restaurant is intimately sized so you will need to make a reservation in advance especially on the weekend. They do have a bar with several seats though that you might be able to get a seat at with less notice. The menu combines Nordic and Asian flavors. When looking at the menu, you might see a number of ingredients that are not familiar to you. Don't let that scare you though, everything we have had there has been perfectly balanced to taste amazing when it comes together. If you are not sure what to order just ask for recommendations. I think the menu has changed since we were last in, but the steak we had there was amazing and so were the appetizers. They also have some unique wines. Ask for a recommendation based upon what you are eating and you can't go wrong. I look forward to dining here again soon.

Yelp
Unexpected. That's how I can describe this meal. I wasn't expecting to find a fine dining-ish (not quite there) Asian restaurant in Saint Pete, but here we have one. It isn't fine dining but it is an upscale very nice restaurant with a very interesting menu for both vegans and non vegans, a great cocktail list, and delicious food. Came here for an anniversary and stuck with the appetizer portion of the menu. We got the mushroom buns, another mushroom appetizer, and the shrimp dumplings. My lady also got a tofu item, I think. Don't recall. We both each got a drink as well. I got the Wood, which is essentially a five spiced old fashioned and is amazing. It was really good and bonus points for the single large cube. However, everything we tried was delicious. Absent the shrimp dumplings, everything was vegetarian and we were floored by how good it all was. Service was fantastic as well. I know this is thin in the details but it has been like 3 or 4 days which may as well be last century to my memory. Regardless, you definitely should check this place out. Guarantee you'll enjoy it.

Yelp
Have had two date nights here. First time sat at the bar and the service was exceptional, the drinks to die for, and the food was amazing. Second time sat at a table and couldn't get anything when it should have happened. The waiter was so aloof that it became a running joke between us and the other table who were also resorting to flagging him down when he wasn't chatting up the other staff. Overall, for my money, this is the best restaurant in St Pete when it comes to interesting dishes with amazing presentation. Surely the middle-aged asian fellow we got last time was just having an off night.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is located not in a touristy part of St. Pete. There is no valet just a parking lot for self parking. Modern decor but really small restaurant with some outdoor seating. The food is good but can be better. I think they are trying to hard and please put the salt away from chef. Food: Beef Tartar - Great presentation, the meat was good but the toppings gave a plastic feel. The chips add some flavor and do complement the tartar. Crudo - Love the presentation, fish was fresh and taste was really good with all the other ingredients. A must! Spicy Chili Garlic Shrimp Dumplings - Ok presentation, super salty and a weird spice to it. Would not recommend. Skip it! Oysters Rockefeller Special - Bad presentation, the oyster taste burned and nothing special that would stand out. Pass! Aged Rohan Duck Breast - Ok presentation, this was the highlight of the night. Absolutely stunning and delicious. Duck was tasty and the rice complemented amazing together. It was so good, we order another one but guess what the second duck was not like the first one. Consistency is key of success !! I say give it a try and hopefully you get the one I got first. Pan Seared Grouper - Good presentation, the fish was fresh and with lots of potential until the extra extra salt kicks in the taste. If the chefs backs off the salt this is a must!! Maybe ask less salt !! Cheesecake Special - Bad presentation, nothing special about this cheesecake other than a bit soft in taste but just a plane from anywhere cheesecake. I would not recommend at all. Hard pass!! Service: Staff was not really friendly or knowledgeable about the food. My waiter had to go to kitchen and ask about the food items a few times. He was friendly but really not for this caliber of food and restaurant that you would expect. Ambience: Overall for St. Pete is an upscale experience with a nice decor and intimate setting. The food has lots of potential and can be one of the best in town but i think they are trying to hard with other things. The food should be the main focus and perfection so people come back. I say give it a try if this is your type of food style.

Yelp
First time I've ever heard of Nordic/Asian-fusion cuisine, but the food here is so creative and unique that I would love to try everything on the menu! They have one of the best (and prettiest) crudos around, and their smoked lions mane mushroom appetizer is absolutely delicious and unique. Their specials, like this octopus, are like nothing you can find anywhere else, and absolutely delicious. Their desserts are great too, although the best part was the housemade ice cream that accompanied them! Their dim sum brunches, which happen about every month, have plenty of fun and affordable creative sharable plates. The team here is so welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu, great at guiding you through a lot of unfamiliar ingredients and preparation methods.

Yelp
Surprisingly not very busy this time (Thursday night). Winning dish was the wok fried fresh catch, which happened to be red snapper. It was paired with fermented rice which had a great texture.

Yelp
Seriously the best restaurant in Tampa Bay. I have been here three times and the food is consistently delicious. Staff is awesome and Quinn the bartender is the best. This is my go to restaurant to take friends for a nice meal. So glad it is still a relatively well kept secret.

Yelp
Such fresh take on Asian fusion. Great dining room, very comfy. Wonderful happy staff and beyond delicious inventive food! Love all the cocktails - understated and tasteful. I bet you'll want to go back soon!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant with a really cool atmosphere. Tables and space are small but with making a reservation, all works. We came in a Saturday early. We ordered the lions mane for an appetizer and then enjoyed 3 entree's. The grouper, the sea bass that came fried over a bed of sweet potato and peaches in ginger (which was fish of the day) and the bao buns. The food was wonderful. The fish cooked to perfection. The grouper by far was the winner of the taste test. The Lions main appetizer was unique and delicious. To stay we did get a wonderful shooter of a ginger carrot soup. Great opener. Everyone was pleased. We then ordered dessert- the chocolate cake with berries and the special for that day the turnip cake. Oh wow!!! That turnip cake was so amazing! So was the chocolate cake. Beautiful experience that is for sure. The service was great as well. Will be back, that's for sure

Yelp
Words cannot describe just how much I love this place. It will definitely be our celebratory spot from now on. The building is unassuming and it's not on a particularly popular street, so finding it was a tiny bit of a challenge. That being said, the interior does not disappoint. It is quiet and intimate with a very long bar area. The food... oh wow the food. We had the most incredible experience tasting everything from dumplings to fried fish. Literally everything on the menu was top quality. The highlight for both me and my husband was the Norwegian cheesecake. It looked very humble, but man did it pack a punch with the Norwegian cheese they used inside. The best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. Life changing!
google avatar

Corissa L.

Yelp
Been here a couple times now and this may be my new favorite restaurant in St. Pete. It's Norwegian and Cantonese fusion, which we joke about as my husband is 1/2 Norwegian and I'm Cantonese. We've had plenty of traditional food from both regions, but love the combinations of flavors that are created in the food here. We have not had anything we didn't enjoy, but the favorites are the crudo, spicy dumplings and wok fried fish. The dry aged beef is also really good. The way to do this meal is family style so that you can share everything. I haven't tried the dim sum yet, but looking forward to a future visit.

Yelp
Enjoyed a nice meal here with friends the night before college drop off. The fish dishes were very good. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. At the end we received complimentary desserts due to some service misses and they were delish and appreciated!

Yelp
In Tampa and interested in a unique dining experience tonight. Lingr looked intriguing with a Cantonese / Scandinavian slant. The building is sleek and very modern. The inside has a minimalist decor, sparsely lite and limited seating around 60. The bar setting is beautiful and a big draw with lots of people hanging around. It has the feel of a local exclusive haunt for a select crowd. Our waiter, Nate was great in explaining their dining concept and menu. The Cantonese / Scandinavia menu is about spice and quality flavored combinations. Before we ordered, a small cup of sweet potato puree was delivered, DELICIOUS! We ordered the smoked mushrooms with brunost, cream and chili oil on sami bread. It was similar to a 6" round bread wafer with mushrooms and oil on top. It was very difficult to eat and not easy to split. I also found the flavor to be very mild, almost non-existent. The blue oyster mushroom with veggie dumplings were good. They were served in a hoisin / chili oil drizzle. Our final order was 1/2 roasted chicken with a sweet & sour mango glazing sauce accompanied with chinese pancakes and spicy pickles. The chicken had a crispy outer layer and succulent meat. It was easy to share this dish as the chicken was good size and full of a unique flavor. I had a few issues with the food service. The roasted chicken needs to be cut into thee pieces prior to table delivery or at tableside. It is very messy and a regular knife just doesn't cut it (pardon the pun). We had to asked for additional napkins due to the mess. The bathroom has an air hand drier and no towels to wash up after dinner. I asked Nate for a moist towel and was only able to get paper napkins and soda water. The meal was good but we are not likely to return as the flavor was mild and lacking in one dish. I applaud the setting and restaurant style, however, it was not exciting to my palate. They have a good following and I'm sure they will continue to thrive.

Yelp
Lingr is a new restaurant in St Pete that I have heard great things about. My friend and I decided to cross the bridge and check it out. Overall we enjoyed the experience. The ambiance is beautiful, dark and romantic. The service was exceptional and our server was very helpful with explaining the menu. I got the roast chicken and the Shiitake bao. I also got the earth cocktail. My friend got the salmon. Everything was delicious, our cocktails were strong and the bao was my favorite of the night. The only issue I have is the limited menu. I experienced Lingr once but I think it's kind of like a one and done place unless they change up their menu then I would go to try something new. Otherwise, I would recommend experiencing Lingr.

Yelp
This is a great date spot. Excellent mood lighting, small and large plates, and excellent drinks. My only problem with my experience here is that I was here for maybe 35mins. Felt like I was being rushed out the door. I love quick service but it would've been nice to have time to talk to my girlfriend and enjoy the atmosphere a bit. They do have a nice looking bar but seems like it fills up fast. I will definitely go back and give this place another shot in the future.

Yelp
Yes yes yes yes!!! That's all I can say about this place. I stumbled upon Lingr when scheduling an early dinner and I am so happy I did! The service treated us like a million bucks. The food, specifically these special bao buns, were phenomenal. Everything was top notch here!

Yelp
Amazing place!!! Was looking through new places in DTSP and this came up. Didn't know if we would get in but once were there they didn't have any tables but the bar was open seating. Glad we sat at the bar because we got to talk with Chef Jew as he poured us complimentary champagne! The bartenders are phenomenal. Mark was mixing up some incredible concoctions. Try one of their 5 spice menu. You will not be disappointed. Zach covered the wine as well. Their wine list is top notch. Now for the food, OMG. So good! We started with some shrimp dumplings. Delicious. Perfectly cooked. Good portion size as well. Next we orders the grilled koji dry aged ribeye Cantonese curry and corn fried rice. First the steak was perfectly prepared. So tender and insane flavors. Then curry and fried rice just kicked it all up a notch. So good. A true dining experience. This place is our new go to spot and we can't waIt to go back!

Yelp
Lingr hits all the marks: delicious food with unique flavors and top quality ingredients, along with the best cocktails I've ever had. The service is excellent, and the ambiance adds to the overall experience. I most highly recommend this restaurant with 5 stars plus!

Yelp
My wife and I went for Valentine's Day and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was very nice, service was very good, Kevin, our server, did need to do some explaining of the menu, good job and the food was excellent. We had 2 drinks, Garlic Chili Shrimp Dumplings with just the right heat. I had the gulf fish. My wife the Poulet Rouge which was tender, well cooked and flavorful. 2 coffees and deserts, a Kladdkaka and a spiced ginger cake, both so good. It was amazing, I've driven by that place so many times and until recently did not know it was a restaurant, a hidden gem. Most amazing was the reasonable pricing. Will return!

Yelp
Walking into the minimalist space, curiosity lingers over how the Nordic and Cantonese-inspired cuisine will be? Well it's simply exceptional. From crafted cocktails to dessert, everything is a blend of deliciousness. The grouper and duck breast are equally satisfying and cooked to perfection. Plus the Brunost poundcakey cheesecake is a heavenly slice to savor. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner and had a reservation. We were seated as soon as we showed up. The vibe in here is very chic and chill. Its dimly lit with light coming from the bar area. Its a small restaurant and simple in style and tables are adequately spaced out in my opinion. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and talkative. There were no issues with food allergens (wheat, rye, or barley) as the menu has many many denotations on what is gluten free, what has soy, dairy, seafood etc (which I really appreciated). I found all the food and preparation to be exceptional. My favorite was the Hamachi crudo which I actually ordered two of because they were so delicious. I had the gluten free fish cakes and even though it doesn't look like a lot of food the fish cakes are dense and they are a lot foodwise. This is a very nice mid to upscale restaurant located very close to the interstate and its worth a visit. I for sure will 100% be back. I thought it was fairly priced and the food was fresh and delightful. If you want to try something different and new this Cantonese and Scandinavian fusion restaurant is ideal.

Yelp
I waited too long to try this place, and finally got a taste of what I have been missing - great and interesting food, reasonably priced cocktails, and excellent service. Despite its upscale decor and environment, it manages to maintain the feel of a neighborhood restaurant.

Yelp
Omigosh! My fashion consultant just recommended this restaurant today... She said it was fabulous. Took her up on her recommendations. PHENOMENAL! After she recommended that i go, I read up on Lingr here: https://stpetersburgfoodies.com/restaurants/restaurant-reviews/the-dream-is-real-at-chef-jeffrey-jews-lingr-restaurant/. I ate everything they recommended, except for the desserts (which had cycled off the menu already). The Ginger Cake that we tried was excellent! I say GO! You must have this experience. The blend of Chinese and Norwegian is absolutely GENIUS! DELICIOUS! Scrumptiously Good for my (Happy) Belly! Oh! The ambiance was just delightful. Definitely, go.

Yelp
Eveything about this restaurant is special...service, menu, and the owners. They take great pride in knowing you and your ideas of what you like and (maybe but doubt it) don't like about their special place or menus. One of my top choices for a great evening out!!

Yelp
Everything was enjoyable from service to food. The ambiance is nice. The dining room is on the smaller side which makes it more intimate. The ceilings are treated to be noise dampening which is nice compared to the trend of a lot of restaurants, where the dining room is so loud it is hard to hear your table guests. Service is on point, never rushing, and very knowledgeable about each dish. To be hyper critical each dish had a high and low point, but overall a very positive experience.

Yelp
Weekend date night at Lingr. We had reservations for outside at the restaurant and was sat down right on time. The service was excellent as expected and we even had chef J Jew who visited our table! Food and drinks were delicious.

Yelp
Came in to sit at the bar for some shared plates and drinks and Lingr did not disappoint. I started off with a spritz that was very lackluster, but the bartender was nice enough to replace it with a much more bold drink I preferred: the Fire. The fire cocktail was similar to a spicy margarita but hotter and more unique. We were given a complimentary taster to start which was the perfect bite! My friends were vegetarian and received a mushroom version of this meat crisp which we appreciated. Then we got shrimp chili oil dumplings - tasty little bites filled with a good amount of shrimp and sitting on a plate of a soy sauce base with sesame seeds. We liked them, but next time plan to get one of the bao buns instead. We also split a plate of the vegetarian noodles which are a take on mapo tofu. Spicy with numbing Sichuan peppers, but the flavor and texture we thought could've been more interesting. We ended our meal with the lions mane mushroom toast. It was by far the favorite. Hey he toast is more like a pizza or flatbread. The mushrooms add a hearty bite and their sauce added complexity and more umami flavor. The outdoor area was nice for an evening with good weather, otherwise sit at the bar for intimate moody vibes, or the dining room for the small restaurant feel.

Yelp
Nordic/asian restaurant with fabulous ambiance! Makes a great date spot with stellar service and posh/lounge-y vibes, though pricier than I'd like for food. KEY TAKEAWAYS: - FOOD - Bread starter and dessert (see PICS) were the stars and the Mushroom app was most interesting and unique. More info in pics. - FENNEL GALORE - Lots of fennel on the menu, which I really dislike but the dumplings had a sprinkle of it and didn't taste it. - OUTDOOR SPACE - There was a lounge-y outdoor area that was super posh and loved it. - RESTROOMS - Gotta say, I absolutely loved the bathroom - clean, ovely smelling handsoap and lotion, as well as little bottles of mouthwash, pads, tampons, and toothpicks. Made me so happy and further makes my point that this is an awesome date spot. - NEXT TIME - like to try the Snapper fresh catch and the crudo when on the menu, as was looking forward to these two but weren't on the menu when I visited. Food - 3.5 (considering price) Service - 4.5 Ambiance - 5

Yelp
Lingr is a cool little spot. Feels chic and urban like LA. Space is small and looks like part of an office building was converted. The chef is top notch. Service was outstanding. Food is delicious and an unusual mix of Cantonese and Norwegian. I loved the food- some was surprisingly spicy. We had dumplings- fish cakes- the delicious bread plate with lovely butter and both had a fish entree. The food is pretty and well plated - servers are knowledgeable of the menu and offerings. We skipped dessert because we ate too much! My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his 2 old fashioned cocktails and my wine was very tasty and recommended by my waiter. Try it.

Yelp
Excellent all the way. Vibes, food, service, wine list. Unfortunately I can't remember the server's name but she deserves 5/5. She was super friendly and really awesome! The wine list is IMPRESSIVE! food choices are great. We ordered almost everything on the menu minus the meat dishes. The rice noodles were spicy and a bit too salty. The rest wee delicious! I am so so happy we have a unique restaurant like this one around. Cheers and I will be back soon.

Yelp
Best meal I've had in years! Everything was absolutely delicious and the presentation was just as impressive. Highly recommend to anyone! Not pictured was an amazing ginger snap cake with chocolate and pistachio ice cream.

Yelp
Ambiance is exceptional Service was on point! Very nice wine list with several good options. For appetizer we got the snapper crudo which was to die for. I'd go there just for that. Both me and my friend ordered the same entree, wok fried snapper. It was good but sadly it wasn't memorable as that crudo. But still tasty.

Yelp
We decided to make our Wednesday special with our first dinner (of many!!) at Lingr. I felt silly making a reservation for a Wednesday at 6pm...but I'm glad I did! The place filled up quickly, which made me very happy to see. The entire experience was perfection from beginning to end. The place was lovely, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the drinks were out of this world, and the food was delectable! Cocktails: We tried 4 out 5 of their Five Spice inspired drinks and all were truly special. I love the different take that each one has on their more traditional counterparts. Earth - their take on a Mai tai, Wood - their version of an Old Fashioned, Water - gin-based drink with cucumber, dill, and elderflower (I did not think I'd like this, but I almost stole it from my husband it was so good!), and Fire - their take on a Negroni made with Aquavit, Campari, and beets. WHAT?! I have never liked Campari, so I didn't personally enjoy it (although it was probably the most drinkable Negroni-drink I have tried) but, hubs really enjoyed it and surely will order it again. Appetizers: We ordered 3 - Spicy Chili Garlic Shrimp Dumplings (every single person should order these every single time they visit - holy cow!), Char Siu Style Shiitake and Gai Lan Bao (we ordered 1 and shared it - I love that you can order 1 or 3...depends on how hungry you are), and Hamachi Crudo - all were incredible and even better than I had imagined. The perfect balance was achieved between the lightness of the hamachi and the richness of the shrimp and bao fillings. The shrimp and bao fillings had a lovely kick as well, so be prepared for a little spice. Entree: I ordered the Wok Fried Fresh Catch which was the best tasting Red Snapper I have ever had. It was very lightly fried, cooked to perfection, and so tender it melted in my mouth. Served with a delicious fermented black bean rice and an herb vinaigrette that my husband kept dipping his rib eye into. He ordered the Ribeye and, oh-boy, we should have shared that meal between the 2 of us. The portion is HUGE. The steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare and the curry and corn rice was fluffy and endless! For dessert, we ordered their Kladdkaka Cake with Wildberry Compote and Pistachios (their take on a brownie, cut into 4 pieces, it was crunchy on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside, and not overly sweet!) and their Spiced Parsnip cake with Mandarin cream (this was their take on a spice or carrot cake, but made with parsnips and it was honestly so much better than I could have imagined - again, not overly sweet, very moist, and the perfect ending to a rich meal). We loved every minute of this dining experience, especially their amazing sommelier, Zack, who helped us pair some wines with our meals and desserts. We are very curious foodies and had all kinds of questions about their drinks, so he brought us a sample of their house-made Aquavit. He was so generous and knowledgeable, and chatting with him truly added to the wonderful experience. I hope this place sticks around for a VERY long time!!!
