We had a wonderful dinner at Ethos Restaurant Links House. The atmosphere was perfect, sophisticated, calm, intimate, spacious. Michael and the team were friendly, as always, attentive, and ensuring the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food exceeded expectations, beautiful presented, incredible flavour & balance, with perfect portions for one or to share. A hidden Southern Highlands gem that deserves attention!! Thank you Michael & Team, Bill Andreas

We had a work reunion at the delightful Links House in Bowral - our return visit after 6 years. Have to say that the rooms were comfy and cosy (in the middle of winter), the restaurant provided excellent faire and the staff were really lovely people - particularly Meghan, Ross, Michael and Caroline - outstanding service. Nothing was too much trouble - thank you. The breakfast package was well worth the effort of getting up a bit earlier - Meghan’s hot chocolate was spectacular!! Thank you for a wonderful couple of days!!

Links house is a charming heritage hotel with pretty gardens and comfortable, warm rooms . This IS a heritage building so the rooms are not modern and sound proof but comfortable nonetheless. Central heating is efficient, bathrooms are bit small but cute . Comfortable bed . Breakfast is generous and tasty . Staff are friendly without being in your face. Michael in the restaurant was an amazing host . I would return without any hesitation.

My husband booked in for a dinner for our 4 year wedding anniversary and it was amazing. Michael made us feel welcome, had a joke and laugh and was all round spectacular and felt so homely and the food was divine. Once finished dinner we moved to the fire place area to sit and relax. We left feeling full and happy. We will definitely be back with our friends. Would recommend this place to anyone, it was the best experience we've ever had at a restaurant. ☺️

I organised a two-day reunion of a group of original business colleagues [now all retired] and their better halves at Links House.|To a person, they all agreed that Links House was the perfect venue - the ambiance of Links House and its 1930's feeling was a great setting for our couple of nights stay. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food for our reunion dinner was excellent, and the breakfast choices, although limited, were very adequate. My wife and I have stayed at Links House on many occasions over the years simply because it is such a lovely place and the staff and dining experience excel - very highly recommended.

We stayed for one night with friends The room we stayed in was very comfortable and warm. Before dinner we relaxed with drinks in the lounge in front of the open fire. A good start to the evening. We had dinner in the ETHOS restaurant. There is a good selection of entrees and all our mains were great, lamb shanks, crab linguine, salmon and steak finished off with bread and butter pudding. |Good wine list and the staff were very good

We had a truly wonderful stay in the Wilkinson Room. Overlooking beautiful green hedging, the space offered the perfect blend of elegance and tranquility. A very special mention to Michael, who was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His warmth and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for, and it’s clear he takes great pride in delivering a memorable guest experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, refined escape in the heart of Bowral.

We had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at the restaurant yesterday. The room was lovely, and the food was delicious and very well presented. My only comment is that we would have enjoyed having five mains for five people rather than four mains. The sharing of the dishes worked very well, they just tasted so yummy, we all wanted a bit more! Thank you for a lovely day.

Yelp
Links House was built in the 1920's so don't think you are going to stay in a cold, razor sharp and stiff establishment. This is a grand old bird with all the charm that comes with a place of this age and it perfectly reflects spirit of Bowral itself. The mini bar is not mean on selection or price and the wine glasses, and this is a small thing I admit but important when considering the care and thought involved, are not those small thimbles on a stem you usually find but rather real wine glasses. The staff are, and I mean this absolutely, are friendly and warm without exception and nothing is too much trouble. In fact I would go so far as to say you are treated more like an old friend who is staying for the night than a paying guest at a hotel. On our first night we dined at restaurant and as well as the food being delicious the portion sizes were very generous. The lounge I mentioned earlier is a comfortable room that has soft furnishings and an open fire and fills the room with the kind of warmth only a real log fire can deliver. You are instantly at ease and I felt so at home I fell asleep on the couch. As far as we are concerned it the THE place to stay in Bowral if you are looking to relax and take it easy.
