Absolutely stunning! I drove back and forth across it four times. I have been through many areas of NC, but it was by far one of my favorite views, driving across it. You have to see it for yourself, pictures just don't do it justice.

Always worth the stop. Some of the most amazing views are seen from the trails near or on the viaduct. If you do stop at the parking overlook be sure to walk up the trail to the viaduct, when you see the mile marker 304 look for the little trailhead behind it, if you can clump up there for the most spectacular view overlooking the Viaduct with the mountains in the background. Be sure to be extremely careful when climbing up there. Enjoy

Beautiful scenic drive! Our family loves riding the Blue Ridge Parkway. Sometimes seeing and experiencing the beauty of the mountains is breathtaking. Although fall is the most amazing time to visit you won't be disappointed in the spring or summer!

Absolutely beautiful here! Be sure to stop on the pull off by the viaduct and walk on the dirt path next to the road
