Linnen, a Design Boutique Hotel Berlin, Germany

"Linnen is an Inn located in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin’s trendy going-out district and also offers apartments in Mitte, Berlin's centre. It offers free WiFi, design interiors and on-site café and bar. Linnen is a typical 19th-century Berlin residential building, which has been fully renovated. It features bright rooms and apartments with traditional wooden furniture and parquet floors. The main building is situated within a 5-minute walk of Eberswalder Straße Underground Station and the Mauerpark (Wall Park), where a popular flea market takes place every Sunday. Other rooms and apartments are in the neighbouring Mitte district, near stylish shops and galleries. Guests can enjoy healthy and innovative snacks and drinks at Café Linnen, on the ground floor. Berlin’s Alexanderplatz is within 10 minutes by public transport. From here, there are direct buses to Tegel Airport and direct trains to Schönefeld Airport. The 2 studio apartments and a large apartment in Berlin's central Mitte district are just 3 km away." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Linnen, Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, Germany - Explore & Book

"Those seeking a home-from-home in the heart of Berlin will love Linnen, a relaxed yet stylish retreat in a classic residential Altbau. Founders Bodo and Antonio are passionate about interior design and compulsive collectors of 20th-century vintage furniture. They have created a space that is quirky yet chic, and which - probably due to its eclecticism - feels quintessentially Berlin. The street-level communal area (which doubles up as the reception) is more like a private living room and kitchen, where you can hang out and enjoy a coffee or organic soda, or lounge on reclaimed chairs leafing through design magazines. In the first-floor guest rooms, reached by a spiral wooden staircase, a careful balance has been struck between old and new. A sense of the building’s history remains - in the honeyed tones of the stripped doors and floorboards, and in the intricately restored ceiling stuccos - but eye-catching pieces and vibrant colours add a fresh, designery vibe. There are 4 romantic rooms and a 2-bedroom suite, plus self-catering apartments for 4-6, one of which is a short metro ride away in the heart of Mitte. All are gorgeous - the only problem will be finding availability for your dates, so book early if you can. Highs An excellent location in a buzzing neighbourhood, close to public transport, bars and restaurants, and practically backing onto the former no-man’s land of the Wall Beautifully renovated interiors, with funky retro furnishings Great value for Berlin, especially if you book early Friendly, helpful owners with lots of insider knowledge on where to eat, shop and explore Lows Most rooms face the street and trams rumble past every few minutes from early until late, though double glazing reduces noise Not a full-service hotel, though Bodo and Antonio are usually around in the morning (or reachable on their mobiles) if you need help Not ideal for children, and no twin rooms; it's best-suited to couples Please note that the lounge-snack area is due to be remodelled, so may not look exactly as shown" - Jenny Piening

Linnen (Berlin, Germany) 19 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Call it an urban inn, a serviced apartment, a home-stay with a little extra privacy — whatever it is, Prenzlauer Berg’s five-room Linnen isn’t a typical hotel. That much is clear as soon as you arrive. Check-in takes place in a quirky little café on the ground floor, where you’ll often find one of the owners chatting with local coffee-drinkers and welcoming in new guests. There’s a strong temptation to just drop your bags and hang out a while, but continue upstairs and you’ll find five homey, off-beat rooms that are positively packed with character." - Tablet Hotels

We stayed in the Cuba apartment, 2 adults and 2 teens. The contact we had from Antonio from booking until arrival was amazing, answering all my queries/questions. The apartment was lovely so spacious and the photos do not do it justice. Beautiful high ceilings & quirky decor. It is on a busy street & there is tram noise but we slept really well.||Access to tourist areas is easy due to the frequent trams & metro system. Plenty of places to eat within 5/10 mins walk. ||We would definitely stay again if traveling to Berlin. A big thank you to Antonio & Bodo for a fabulous stay.

We loved this hotel. We were worried about no air conditioning in the summer but the room stayed cool with a ceiling and floor fan. The layout of our Room1 was spacious and modern. And the neighborhood the hotel is in has such a cool vibe with plenty of places to eat and things to do. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved our stay. It was a beautiful and unigue boutique hotel. We appreciated the fact we could help ourselves to linnen, coffee drinks, and come and go as we pleased. There was a fridge available for all guests and the management was easy to reach and accommodating. The location is superb! We went to see a show at the arena and it's basically around the corner. There isn't air conditioning but the ceiling fan kept things cooler than it would have been without it.

I stayed at Linnen for seven nights in July 2025 (room 3): a wonderful place that truly makes you feel like you're living in your own (very beautifully furnished) apartment in Berlin. The hotel is fully equipped, spotlessly clean, and located in a perfect spot. It's very close to a supermarket, metrostation, fantastic restaurants, and Mauerpark (which is worth visiting not just on Sundays, but also at sunset, when musicians and graffiti artists gather). I rented a bike and felt like a true Berliner for a week. Thank you for the hospitality!

If you're looking for a place to stay in Berlin that's more unique than a hotel, and more like an Airbnb, but with the security and conveniences of a hotel, look no further than Linnen. I stayed in Room 1 with my partner for ten days this June. The room was more like a small one bedroom apartment, with a beautiful balcony and huge bathroom. Bed was large and comfortable, the WiFi was great, and the niceties the wonderful owners provide downstairs in the kitchen and lobby are so thoughtful. They have food, filtered water, and even an impressive coffee machine that we took advantage of every morning. Everyone will have their own opinion of what makes for the best neighborhood, but Prenzlauer was a dream for us. Both the train and tram are two minutes walking distance. Tons of great food and drink options nearby. And, I hardly heard anyone else in the hotel from our room. Two things to consider, though: Berlin was hot when we were there. More or less 30C every day. Luckily, Linnen lent us a fan to use, and honestly we would have struggled without it. Just be prepared. I believe other rooms have their own ceiling fans. And, at least from Room 1, the tram that passes by all day and all night is rather loud, and literally shakes the room. Our fan muted the noise, and we didn't wake up too often from the shaking, but it's definitely something to be aware of. Perhaps the other rooms don't feel it as much as ours!

The hotel was very unique for me. It's true what the hotel puts on the windows, More home, Less hotel. The room was so comfortable, It was easy for my husband and I to spend time working and reading. For my husband it was superb.|I might have liked a shower that didn't look like it was going to wet the whole bathroom. And had I been alone I might have felt very alone as it's like being at home alone. But very happy we stayed there, nice experience and we might stay again on the next trip.

We had an amazing stay at Linnen Hotel in Berlin! The check-in and checkout process was effortless, making my trip so much smoother. This boutique hotel is absolutely charming, with friendly and welcoming owners who made me feel right at home. The room was beautifully designed and super cozy—just perfect for a relaxing stay. On top of that, the location is fantastic, close to everything you’d want to explore in Berlin. I highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting the city!

Linnen is an exceptional hotel. Many hotels try to do funky-industrial, but they really capture the uniqueness of their space but also make the room incredibly comfortable and charming. I stayed in room 2 and it was spacious, bright, and wonderful. Truly, more home than hotel. The location is excellent and the espresso machine and bar are a treat!
