Good food excellent service. The food is served in a tapas style so one should order 3-4 dishes for 2 persons according to hunger. Unfortunately for us our last dish took over 30 minutes or more to arrive which spoiled the overall experience. The waitress offered us 2 glasses of champagne to apologise which was very thoughtful of her !

This place is one of the reasons we returned so quickly to Paris. Since October last year the menu has been a little bit changed; they are using seasonal ingredients, but still amazing. The girls who helped us with the food and wine are very nice and professional, always smiling and making very good wine choices, you can find here an impressive wine list. The atmosphere is warm, the people are beautiful, and there are not so many tourists like us. The food is great; we tried 6 or 7 dishes, including our visit from last October. Keep in mind that the portions are quite small; we took 2 for each. All the food was great, with a special mention for the pig head and the gnocchi. Make a reservation in advance to be sure you find a table, it's a busy place.

A Hidden Gem Across from Hotel Fabric – A+ Experience! On our last night in Paris, after passing by L’insolite multiple times and always seeing it buzzing with people, we finally decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad we did! We were staying just across the street at the Fabric Hotel, and despite not having a reservation, the warm and welcoming staff kindly found us a table for three in the cozy back corner. The ambiance is charming, with dim lighting and whimsical touches like the vintage bicycle by the window that sets a relaxed, inviting tone. The compact menu is perfect for sharing, and we opted for four standout dishes on this warm summer night. The citrus glacé with olive oil, fennel, and basil was refreshing and delicious. The gnocchi with haricots verts and peas was delicate and flavorful. The tagliolini with zucchini, basil, and pine nuts was beautifully balanced, and the bistecca alla Fiorentina—finished with flaming rosemary—was cooked to perfection and paired with crisp salad and some of the best mashed potatoes I’ve had. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, rounding out what was truly a top-notch dining experience. If we had room, we would have absolutely gone for the chocolate mousse! L’insolite is a delightful find—full of flavor, charm, and hospitality. Highly recommend.

Excellent food and service. Everything we ate was incredibly delicious, from the wine to the cauliflower to the tartare, gnocchi, beef cheeks, and chocolate mousse. The mousse is by far the best I’ve ever had! It was easy to make a reservation online.

An absolute gem! 💎 From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service is impeccable—attentive, friendly, and professional. But the real star? The food. Every dish is crafted with precision and passion. The chocolate mousse 🍫🍮 is simply divine, and the topinambour 🌱, creamy purée 🥔, slow-cooked joue de bœuf 🥩, and homemade gnocchis 🍽️ were bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delight! On a Sunday night, the restaurant was packed, which speaks volumes about its quality and reputation. A must-visit for anyone who loves great food and a welcoming ambiance. Highly recommended!

Wonderful restaurant. We didn't have a reservation but luckily we got a spot at the bar. What a treat! We had the sharing steak and although a little steep at 110 euros, it was excellent. Paired with a delicious Cote du Rhône, everything was excellent. Highly recommended!

Google
Great local spot, they were able to accommodate a big group of 9 of us for Christmas dinner. Standouts for our group — bright broccoli “tabbouleh,” interesting raspberry/smoked tagliolini, soft beef cheeks. Server was SO patient and helpful. We ordered 9 small plates + 1.4kg meat + 4 desserts for a generous meal.

Yelp
My friend recommended this spot to me and I never would have come without his recommendation. But wow, this place is amazing. Loves: + Not to be dramatic but the duck (25e) is heavenly and the best I ever had in my life. As a solo diner I was sad I could not eat the cote de veau (you need two people), but that duck sure made up for it. + Lovely attention to timing. I was the only solo diner in the place and yet the timing of my dishes with those of everyone else was impeccable. + Kind waiter who spoke English which helped me greatly. + Menu changes at least weekly and items served for lunch are different than dinner. This place is a gem and I highly recommend it! They don't take reservations bc it's cozy inside (maybe 26 person capacity), so I recommend coming earlier when they open at 7:30pm vs later. Enjoy!!! :)
