Lionel Jeep on St. John was great! Excellent communication, very friendly service and a well maintained Jeep. This will be my family’s second time to rent with them and I’ve already reserved two Jeeps for when we come back in February. Highly recommend!

Lionel car rental went above and beyond all expectations for us on St. John. The staff there, especially the front desk lady from the moment she saw us picked us up at our resort and drove us to get the rental so we didn't have to pay for a taxi. She helped us get our infant car seat and everything with a smile. I suffered a serious injury on a day excursion, and our car was parked at a local lot for the day. She went and got the vehicle for us so it wouldn't get towed. When I got back from emergency surgery to the island, she came and picked my family up from the dock as I was on crutches and wheelchair bound, non- weight bearing and got us settled to get back to our resort. The hospitality, the smiles, the care and concern, is something I will always treasure. I will never forget them. I have several friends coming to the island and have met so many amazing people, and I will always refer them to Lionel and his family rental company. Their morals, their support, were way above any car service and I can never thank them enough. God bless 🙌

We had only a half day to explore St. John, and Tyler from Lionel Jeep graciously accommodated us when other rental companies required multi-day bookings. His professionalism and demeanor is a welcomed comfort to visitors, while his advice and recommendations for trip planning were spot on. The Wrangler you get might not be the newest latest model, but it will readily handle the surprisingly rugged terrain and narrow switchback roads that St. John has to offer. We highly recommend this company!

We had a great experience with Lionel Jeep on our recent spring break trip to St. John. I appreciate how accommodating they were with our late arrival from St. Thomas. Our Jeep was spotless and reliable during our week on the island and got us everywhere we wanted to go. We also appreciate the fact that we were able to park at Lionel at no cost while in Cruz Bay for dinners. Parking is expensive in town so this was a nice perk. We highly recommend this company!

We had a great experience renting from Lionel. They picked us up at the ferry and took us to get the car. It was quick and easy. The car was great. We had a small issue pop up and the owner showed a lot of integrity which we appreciated. We've already booked with them for our next trip to STJ.

After a very bad experience with another car rental place on St John (St John Car Rental) that cancelled our reservation 4 days before arrival we chose Lionel and are so glad we did. From the time we booked our Jeep we could tell it was going to be a much better experience and it was. Upon arriving on the ferry we were picked up at the dock in the Jeep that would be ours for the week and within 2 minutes we were at the office to sign paperwork and go over everything about the vehicle. It was a fairly new Jeep and a few minutes later we were on our way. Absolutely no issues with the vehicle during the 8 days whatsoever. On our last day we arrived at the office and within a minute were being driven to the dock to catch the ferry to St Thomas. We are so glad we chose Lionel - it was approx $300 less than that other co. Win/Win.

I had a great experience with Lionel Jeep Rental. They were at the ferry to pick us up when we arrived. They were very courteous. I also needed to switch out the vehicle for something that sat higher off the ground and they were able to accommodate on short notice. The return process was quick and easy as well.

Great company to work with. Met us at the ferry to pick us up to fill out paperwork, took us to the gas station for us to fill the jeep up before returning it, and took us back to the ferry. Awesome service, nice people, even had KLOVE on the radio and the daily bread pamphlets in their office which we immediately noticed since we love Jesus. We would definitely rent from them again.

My wife, 3 young children and I rented a Jeep from Lionel. The tires were nearly bald, which is very dangerous on the steep, winding, roads of St John. We went to Trunk Bay on our last morning at St Johns. The car was supposed to be returned by 10 AM, but I told them I was going to be late by a couple hours but would pay the late fee. The owner went to the police station at 10 AM, reported the car as "hijacked," and the police threatened to take the vehicle and leave us stranded at the beach unless we immediately drove to the police station, ending what had otherwise been a wonderful trip to St Johns. Normally I like supporting small mom and pop businesses, but this one you should avoid like the Plague.

Lionel Jeep Rental made our check in and check out process a breeze, despite our late arrival to St. John. Catherine answered all of our questions and even helped to facilitate a passport rescue mission when it was forgotten in the rental after drop off. The Jeep we rented reliably climbed all the peaks and conquered all the tight hair pin turns of the island, even without the 4WD. Thank you Lionel Jeep, see you again!

Jeep was ok, service no issues helped us with parking ...absolutely no issues. Even dropped us off at our hotel when requested.

Horrible service, avoid at all cost. Will claim you scratched the car when it was already scratched. Take you to court. Just stay away. Disgusting!

Avoid this place if you can!! While rates are comparable to other places in Cruz Bay, we got a pretty junky jeep and got stuck with a SEVENTY FIVE dollar charge for a broken plastic license plate frame which was already broken when we got it. Disclaimer: we noticed it when we got back to the Airbnb and we should have documented it but didn't. But 75 bucks for a plastic frame...come on... I read another reviewer that claimed they also had Lionel try to charge them for something that was already broken. So renters beware!! This will end up costing more than you bargained for.

This business took advantage of me and used every outlet to charge me as much as possible when I returned the Jeep.

Rented a Jeep 4 door last fall and was very satisfied. Good price on a nice vehicle and no problems at all. Plan to use again.
