Lions Dryandra Woodland Village

My partner and I absolutely adored the Lions Dryandra Woodland Village. As animal and nature people this accommodation was right up our alley with nature literally at our doorstep in a cute and cosy cabin. The caretakers were very nice and keen as to share their tips on finding elusive animals which most ended up working out for us!

Excellent accommodation with good dining facilities for a large group or small family. Reasonable charges. Good play facilities for children between ages of 6 and 14. Very limited internet which could be a boon or disadvantage depending on viewpoint.

They introduced us to kangaroo joeys, colorful wild birds, and even a wild snake patiently waiting for its prey. They guided us on a walking tour around the area, helping us search for echidnas while sharing fascinating information about the local flora and fauna. We even saw a kangaroo skeleton—such a cool experience! 《Stay in a Cozy Cabin and Immerse Yourself in Nature》 Bring your own bedsheets, pillows, blankets, towels, bath towels, and toiletries, and stay in a cabin for 2-3 nights. At night, listen to the soothing sounds of crickets and birds, and in the morning, watch kangaroos hopping across the grasslands—a truly peaceful and relaxing experience. You can also explore the outdoors in search of echidnas and numbats, observe over 105 species of birds, or take on nearby hiking trails for an adventure-filled day. 《Well-Equipped for a Comfortable Stay》 The large cabins accommodate 4-10 people, and you can park your car right outside. Everything you need is provided: ✔ Clean bathrooms and toilets (with toilet paper, plenty of hooks, and rails) ✔ An additional outdoor toilet, so you won’t have to worry about availability while showering ✔ A fully equipped private kitchen, including a four-burner stove, fridge, microwave, hot water kettle, toaster, pots, pans, plates, cups, utensils, sponges, dishwashing liquid, and dish towels ✔ An outdoor gas BBQ grill, perfect for enjoying a barbecue under the open sky! 《Cozy Living Space and Fireplace Gatherings》 The living room has three large sofas, and you can buy firewood from the office to light the fireplace at night. The cabins are also spaced apart, ensuring privacy and minimal disturbance from other guests. 《Respect Nature and Keep It Clean》 Before leaving, please tidy up the space, restore everything to its original condition, and dispose of your trash in the outdoor bins. If you have children, this is also a great opportunity to teach them about responsibility! 《Can’t Wait to Return!》 I absolutely fell in love with this place! Every morning at around 5 AM, I would wake up, sit on the back porch, sip a cup of hot tea, and watch the sunrise—such a peaceful and enjoyable moment. Although I didn’t get to see echidnas or numbats this time, that just gives me another reason to come back!

great place for a quiet getaway. saw echidnas, kangaroos, a numbat and the night time tour was fantastic too.

We stayed in or camper so have not rated the rooms, the rest of the place is great, lots of space, good facilities, the kitchen and dining area are fabulous, good clean toilets and showers. I would recommend, and if you like bush walking and nature spotting the woodland will not disappoint.

Great location with so much wildlife to see on the plenty of well built and looked after walk trails in the surrounding area. We stayed in the Mallee Hen cottage which was perfect for two. Lots of room, good balcony and all the necessities needed. Les and Julie were great hosts who are chipping away at making it an even better camp.

Great bush glamping at the historic forestry village in renovated old style Cottages. Now run by Lions , not for profit, so great value from Only $130 /nt for 4. Byo linen, and leave clean, ok. Enjoy the Numbats, kangaroos, birds, bush, cheers. Les.

Basic cheap accommodation I don’t mind but this place was dirty. It relies on previous patrons cleaning the place and clearly they hadn’t. Dirty pots and plates in cupboard. |Spiders and webs in all the curtains.|Bring your own bedding but there is an expectation that the mattress covers should be clean not heavily stained.|Both oven and oven mits stained and dirty.|I think the whole place needs cleaning and properly. You need to lift your have if you expect people to come back.
