Liostasi Hotel (Ios, Greek Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"The Cycladic island of Ios is perhaps a touch less famous than some of its neighbors, but scarcely less spectacular, and the uncommon stylishness of Liostasi Hotel & Suites makes a compelling case. It’s perhaps not as isolated as some island luxury boutique hotels, but the convenience of its location, a short walk from town, is undeniable. And the experience from within Liostasi’s grounds is as sedate as you want to make it — though it overlooks the town and the harbor from its terraced pool deck, its resort-like atmosphere makes staying in an attractive option indeed." - Tablet Hotels

Just wow|We were celebrating my birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary |From the pick up at the port to our (slighted extended) departure this was amazing. The pool area is beautiful with so many cool and comfy areas. Staff all amazing, attentive and friendly. |Our room was nice, our only feedback is that for a 9 night stay there is not enough storage so found ourselves living out of our case. Not a single drawer. That said, looks lovely and views stunning.|I found the turn down service a little hit and miss too |Grandmas restaurant was out of the world we had a tasting menu and wine flight. We felt it was a little too much for a tasting menus but LOVED it regardless. Cocktails were amazing and we were even made 2 perfect ones that were not on the menu for our anniversary. We felt very special. We personally would have also liked a draft beer to be available but not sure it’s in keeping with the other clientele.|Our ferry was cancelled coming home but we were helped to resolve my mild panic and make alternative plans.|The hotel arranged and booked a trip to another restaurant for us - nothing was too much trouble|Finally, breakfast…..wow! The eggs Benedict were out of this world as was the Greek scrambled eggs. The selection was all local and fabulous |An amazing experience

We recently returned after spending 12 wonderful days at this hotel and on this beautiful island.||Firstly, September is the perfect time to visit Ios as it is quiet and all the party people have departed leaving the lovely town and beaches quiet but still with a buzz. And the weather was wonderful - warm but with a breeze (a few days were very windy which affected ferries but not us on the island).||To the hotel, we can speak highly enough of the hotel and the team. From the pick up from the ferry to there drop off, everything was wonderful and not too much trouble.||We had a lovely ‘maisonette’ which was a little further away from the pool (a few steps!) and was quiet with lovely views. It meant we also had access to one of the pools which was quieter than the main pool. The room was spacious and really comfortable as well as being spotless and cleaned beautifully twice a day.||The staff could not do enough for us - the front oof house team advised on places to go, where to eat, and took care of everything whilst we were there. And nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately we forgot everyone’s name but the bar manager makes exceptional cocktails (ask him for his special fig negroni) and the waiting staff at dinner and breakfast were incredibly nice and helpful - had some lovely chats with the team. Have to mention breakfast - such a comprehensive buffet with different things everyday. Beautiful.||Ate at the restaurant a few times and the tasting menu was fantastic as were the wine choices.||The hotel is in a perfect location - midway to the port / beach and old town but does involve steps but both are only 10 mins away on foot.||Thank you for a wonderful stay and we sincerely hope to come back, maybe in the spring.|Jason & Kevin

My ferry was cancelled due to high winds and the Liostasi staff upgraded my room to a suite for free. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, the pool/common area were beautiful with a bar and great view. Despite how lovely everything else was my favorite part of this hotel was the staff. The woman at reception, who I (unfortunately) cannot remember the name of, was warm, welcoming, well spoken, and sweet. I will definitely be staying here again if/when I come back to Ios.

Amazing hotel with the kindest staff that goes above and beyond to make you happy! Hotel is modern and beautifully decorated. We didn't get to use the pool as it was already chilly but the area looked amazing! The views from our terrace - to the port and the water - were incredible!!! Rooms on a smaller side, so if you like more spaciousness, choose a suite... otherwise and for 3 days we were there - it was totally worth it.. and we had an option to move to the suite (from our Junior suite), but we looked at it, and stayed with our smaller room, but amazing views!!! Highly recommend and would return in a heart beat when and if I'm back to Ios!

I stayed at Liostasi 3 days in the middle of September. Very nice view to the sea. Nice and polite staff, gave me many tips and information about the island. We had dinner the first night. Highly recommended! We also had massage at their Spa which was very good. It was windy during our stay,so we chose Mylopotas for swimming. Ios hora is small and easy to walk around. At Maganari beach we couldn't stand because of the strong winds. The port has a few cosy restaurants and bars. We will definitely come back to Liostasi!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Liostasi hotel for our wedding in Ios, Greece. They were so welcoming when we arrived and truly treated us like royalty for our entire stay. We also hosted our welcome dinner at Liostasi, and they went above and beyond in all regards. They were so accommodating with my million questions while planning, and They decorated the tables beautifully and hosted everyone with such a welcoming energy. I would recommend staying here to anyone looking to stay on the island. The hotel is definitely worth it and they make you feel so special no matter the occasion. Also the breakfast is amazing!!

Have been coming to the Greek Islands for the last forty years bewitched by its charm, and this must be the best Greek hotel we have stayed in. |Here for a wedding we discovered Ios itself is a lovely island, despite living up to its young party reputation in Chora town, there are plenty of establishments and spots to avoid if that’s not you and this is certainly one of them. |The hotel is faultless, and the staff are its crowning glory. From the welcome through the whole stay the team are brilliant. |The setting - the view is amazing, 5 mins walk from Chora town and a little longer walk down to the port. A regular bus service runs from the port, past the hotel, to Chora and through to the beaches and town the other side, for just 2 euros stopping wherever you ask! |The food - amazing! The breakfast is perfect, a la carte and buffet of a variety of homemade Greek food , carefully nurtured by the chef so it looks impeccable right up to the 11.00 am cut off time. The daytime menu is lovely and good value, and Grandmas restaurant food is also fabulous, albeit high end food for a high end price but worth trying. |The Staff, - everyone takes pride in their work and is very helpful, from the cleaners, reception staff, pool/restaurant team. We will always remember Karima and her warm sense of humour to us her “naughty crowd”, and Chris, the bar manager, who was a wizard with his ingredient knowledge and ability to make some lovely cocktails, as well as Christina at brekkie. |The rooms - the bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure perfect. The only downside was that our room was very “cosy”, although I was expecting that it would have been good to have more storage even if the beside blocks had a draw. Tip if you can, go for a larger room option. |This is a fabulous establishment enjoy your stay it’s impossible not to.

This is a five star boutique hotel if there ever was one. The view itself is gorgeous, but the atmosphere they have curated really adds a feeling of luxury. The rooms and layout of the hotel have a very Greek/Aegean feel to them. We highly recommend watching the sunset from your balcony at some point. The restaurant, Grandma’s, while on the pricier side, was no doubt one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Greece, period. Highly recommend the Orzo shrimp pasha dish - that was a standout.
