One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!! The setting is beautiful. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the river. Jasmine served us and was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. We started with buffalo Oysters and a cocktail each. Both were superb!! Continuing we had a small plate and a large plate each accompanied by a lovely bottle of Txakoli. The Monkfish Loin was the highlight of the day for me! The flavours were incredible. I’ve been telling everyone about our experience and will definitely be coming back soon!!

Went here with family on a recommendation, I must say the menu was very interesting and I wrestled with multiple choices. My father opted for the Ray wing which while the meat was delicious it was very boney, im not sure how much he enjoyed it but it was an experience to say the least. The oysters were beautifully presented with a great selection of toppings to choose from. All in all great eating if you are into seafood and the price wasn't over the top. Thanks.

Great food, even if you are not too keen on fish. I had a pork chop and it was great. The setting is lovely and the staff are really helpful. We went on a Wednesday lunchtime in September and there were plenty of spare tables but not so quiet that it was uncomfortable. I thought £100 for 2 people for one main course each and a desert each including drinks was very acceptable

Excellent dining experience from start to finish. The table service was attentive without being intrusive — friendly staff who clearly take pride in what they do. The monkfish main was outstanding — perfectly cooked, incredibly fresh, and full of flavour. Easily a 10/10 dish.

Having followed Stevie on Great Britsh Menu, I couldn't wait to experience Lir on a recent holiday on the North Coast. We had a fantastic evening, the service is really friendly, and the place has a lovely feel to it; decorated nicely and on the river. Of course the menu is pretty much all fish and it did not disappoint! We also loved the Irish Margaritas & Sancerre. Would love to come back for lunch on a sunny day and sit on their lovely terrace.

Had a lovely meal here, with a warm welcome from when we entered from (I believe) Rebekah. I had mentioned my Dad’s 85th birthday when making the reservation and despite them being super busy because of The Open golf tournament, she took the time to congratulate him on that and had prepared a birthday card signed by her and her husband. Varied selection of seafood dishes, all fresh with locally sourced ingredients. All beautifully presented. Staff were very attentive, apologising for the short delay is sitting us and offering us a complimentary drink to compensate, and at the end of the evening offering to help us get a taxi. The setting by the river is beautiful.

Really enjoyed the food, every dish was brillant! Particularly the fin. Service was attentive and warm. Nice view too. Edited: Revisited again the second time. Confirming that all dishes were fantastic!

Been here a few times over the last few years , they have really really found their natural groove , offer brilliant , fresh fish and seafood in generous portions in a friendly atmosphere, while sticking to all their values about natural ingredients, reducing waste and celebrating the produce . Super friendly and totally on top of dealing with allergies and dietary requirements. The Dogfish corndog and Ling fish Kofta were the star of the show for us
