Lisboa Bar am Boxi

As a Portuguese visiting Berlin, I chose to go to Lisboa Bar am Boxi because I need to feel something familiar, like home. And it did. The food is authentic and delicious, full of the flavors I grew up with, and the warm, welcoming staff made the experience even better. A true representation of Portugal on plate, right in the heart of Berlin.

I like the vibe there, cill relax and service is very good. food is rather simple still delicious.I like the octopus salad the most

- A spontaneous visit at 17:30 on a Sunday night. Not full, and the atmosphere was relaxing and easy to talk with others. - The food is decent but some dishes are quite pricy for the amount they contain. - Read some reviews about the rudeness of the service. In our case, the guy at the bar, which was the first person we encountered when wntering, was uninterested both when we enterred and wanted to pay at the end. But the young waitress who took the actual order was polite and friendly. Nothing too negative happened that day. - if you're nearby, i'd recommend giving it a try.

The dishes were quite good except for the dessert: a cheap Spanish supermarket flan that we rejected.

First time dining at a Portuguese restaurant in Berlin, and I had heard great things about their egg tarts, so I decided to give it a try. It turns out that their egg tarts are indeed incredibly delicious, but not only that, every dish here is incredibly tasty! The red wine beef was especially outstanding. The staff members were extremely friendly, and I had a wonderful dining experience here.

The food was pretty average and generally overpriced, location nice, except for the shaky tables/benches, service also nice, one star less only cause at the end I asked for a glass of tap water and I got it with a receipt of 2,40€. It was a very small glass of warm water, so I don’t understand why I had to pay it so much, but also I would have liked to be asked beforehand if I was willing to pay that price since me and my boyfriend were leaving anyway and it’s usually free in most places. Perhaps I was misunderstood and given water from a bottle, but still 2,40€ for a little glass is more than overpriced. Especially after spending almost 70€ in two. Not sure if I’d go back, but recommended if you’re just looking for a place where to drink nice wine, in a nice setting and with some appetisers. Not recommended if you’re hungry and don’t wanna spend 35€+ per person for an average dinner. There are better tapas places around

It's a nice place for a dinner in Boxhagener platz. We choose to try the meat and vegetarian combinations from the special tapas recommendations: there were some tasty ones and some a bit less tasty (-1 star). Also the price of the recommended combos was quite high considering some had quite a plane taste (-1 star). I'd recommend to select among the individual tapas instead of the combos, as they are cheaper and you have more chances to find something with better flavours. I don't feel like running back to the place soon but, all in all, it was a pleasant experience and I will give it another chance in the future. I'm looking forward to give them the missing stars as the place has potential.

I guess I am very picky after spending years in Lisbon. It’s ok, from what I tried the cheeses and bread were fresh and good, you can see it’s freshly made with care. Maybe main dishes are delicious. Overall nothing bad to say. Good place for tapas and drinks.

Excellent. Good wine. Great olives. Croquettes done very well. Service was good. It's a bit pricey for the area but it's hard to get in so no one minds.

I have been a regular at this Portuguese restaurant/cafe for several years and really love it. Super friendly staff, who don't move you on if you just want a coffee (great galaos) instead of a meal. Tasty tapas or full meals. Try the cod croquettes or the flaming sausage if you want to get looks from passers-by. A very authentic and reasonably priced place.

The Boxhagener Platz is a cute little square / park in Friedrichshain, surrounded by lots of restaurants and café, like Lisboa. I was here with a friend on a sunny Wednesday afternoon - the outside tables were taken, but inside was still space. It's nothing special, but the food is good and not too expensive. You get delicious bread for free and we ordered 4 dishes to share (half meat, half vegetarian) and drinks, which left us with a price of € 13 per person. We chose spicy sausages, carrot salat, potato-vegetable sticks and goat cheese with bacon. The two last ones were my favorites.

This is great place if you want to have a small dinner, smth light. The wine was great and the stuff is actually Portuguese . Overall a good place for a chilled Sunday

We went there for a dinner and were really positively suprised. They offer tapas style dishes either with meat or vegetarian. All the food we had was very good and I can certainly recommend the restaurant. The wine we had was also ok for the price. A pleasant experience.

I don't know these folks. No connection. So this review is legit. We're from NJ. My wife and I just had a wonderful meal at this place. It's intimate, friendly and, most importantly, the food is great. Starting with the bread and aioli and moving on to the shrimp and chicken tapas, it was all excellent. Then they hit us with a little complimentary port at the end. So nice. So good.

Food was super tasty; good variety of fish dishes. The waiter explained the menu in English and was very friendly. Would definitely go again soon and highly recommend.

It's ok if you order the right stuff. Not consistent though. Wines are just ok at best! Cannot really recommend but also not a complete fail. Maybe you are more lucky!
