Everything was wonderful! The room was perfect, the bed was extremely comfortable along with fluffy pillows. So clean. The staff was fabulous, very helpful and sweet and the breakfast was fantatstic. Location was amazing as it was close to so many neighborhoods yet located on a nice quiet street with a park with an outdoor bar and an interesting museum right across the street. I would stay here again when I return to Portugal.

An amazing hotel right in the middle of the area that you want to explore, yet on a quiet street - perfect location. The rooms were great, had everything we needed, beds were comfy, we even had a small balcony which was really nice as the neighborhood is a pretty one. We enjoyed our stay and the fact that everything is in walking distance was really practical.||I have to highlight how genuinely nice and helpful the staff was, they really made the extra mile to provide an excellent service and make our stay as enjoyable as possible - thank you!||All in all, I can only recommend staying at this hotel, I would return for sure if I am in Lisbon next time

I am so happy I was able to book four nights at Lisboa Carmo Hotel. Everything was extremely clean and the area was quiet. Hospitality was impeccable - I really appreciated all the staff. The room and bed was very comfortable and AC unit was adjustable. My double bed was pretty spacious and I had six fluffy pillows to choose from :) If it was cool enough, you could just open the balcony door/window and let the refreshing breeze in. It was a very stylish room as well, with great furniture design choices to make the room feel upscale and comfortable. I was on the third floor and it had a small balcony where I could oversee the Carmo Square and sunsets. There is a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, and safe for use. They supply free Nespresso pods and a bottle of water each day if you run out. The smart TV is HUGE and easy to connect to any of your streaming accounts. Make sure to ask about the welcome drink if they don't mention it upon checking in :)||The location is impeccable. You can walk anywhere and are super close to the Rossio train and metro stations, as well as the Baixa-Chiado metro. Make sure to walk through the Rossio train station (take escalators up to exit) to bypass walking roundabout stairs if you are tired. You located right by a viewpoint next to the Santa Justa lift and can see just as much of the view for free. There are an abundance of restaurants and shops near by.

The hotel is centrally located and only a short walk from bars, restaurants and transport options. Its location in Largo do Carmo square offers beautiful trees, church ruins, historical buildings and the Santa Justa elevator. The rooms are compact, but clean, comfortable, equipped with amenities and quiet, making it an enjoyable stay. We wanted to be out exploring the city, so this provided the perfect base, and breakfast fuelled us for our adventures. During our stay we celebrated a birthday and the hotel made it extra special with a surprise bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries. Thank you! For anyone reading this review, I would recommend the Lisboa Carmo for your stay in Lisbon.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The location was great, near restaurants, metro stations, shopping areas, churches, museums and squares. The rooms are small but clean with a bathroom with a shower. Nice view from the window. Breakfast was included and very good.

I enjoyed my stay in this hotel tremendously. It is very conveniently located, rooms are very nice size and comfortable. The pillows are the best I encountered in the last 5 years of travels. ||Most important, the staff at the front desk are very knowledgeable and willing to help with all requests. They made my stay amazing.

Our stay at the hotel was simply perfect! From the moment we walked in, the entire place smelled absolutely good — such a welcoming touch. We were also pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade, just because they had availability. No extra charge, just kindness and great service. Everything was clean, cozy, and beautifully set up. Highly recommended for a special getaway!

Google
Beautiful boutique hotel in a fantastic location near nightlife, restaurants and shopping. We came in after a very long travel day to a warm welcome from the staff and delicious pastries and water in our room. Bernardo at the desk simply could not have been nicer or more accommodating - he made our stay even more enjoyable. From the soft sheets to the fluffy towels, Hotel Carmo is a gem. We’ll be back!

Yelp
TL;DR - Charming hotel in a perfect location. We spent a week here. Having never visited Lisbon before we were unsure on where to stay but were delighted with our choice. The hotel's position is in the heart of Alto Barrio, conveniently located for all the main sights. It's right across the square from Carmo Convent, which our room had a fantastic view of. If you want to venture further, it's also just a few streets from an underground stop (Baixa Chiado). Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, all speaking perfect English. The rooms were delightful and spotless and had a fantastic shower. The hotel was quiet when we were there (it was off season) so they gave us a free room upgrade too. Free bottled water and coffee in the rooms, a nice restaurant on site... you can't go wrong!

Yelp
We stayed here during covid and had a lovely stay! We loved the view from our room of the S. Gorges castle and of the church and the water! This was such a charming location located on a beautiful square with lovely cafes and restaurants. The room was really comfortable - - - particularly the bed. I appreciated the complimentary water and wi-fi. We had several inquiries for the front desk and they were very pleasant in trying to help us answer questions and with tour bookings. We very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet and service from Luis! This is a great place to stay while in Lisbon and I am grateful that I found it!

Yelp
Loved this place. I booked it based on the area, I had friends recommend other place which were all booked and this one was near them with availability. It was in a perfect location to walk everywhere and they had a great outdoor terrace for drinks. Our room was a fantastic corner room with a small balcony all around. The staff was very helpful, however the wifi was not so great as I couldn't get it on my phone but I was able on my ipad, weird...Place was clean, renovated and bed was very comfy as well.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a very nice atmosphere: a good mix between classy and modern-retro. The food was delicious. Everything was very well prepared and presented - congrats to the Chef. The menu offers a good balance of Portuguese and classic dishes.

Yelp
My friends and I ended up booking a room at the Lisboa Carmo Hotel on a last-minute whim. Each one of us was blown away by the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the building and ambiance of the entire hotel. We booked separate rooms and were very surprised to find that each room had a unique design that was very classy and made the most of the space given. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room with the view of the city was worth the upgrade! The breakfast was full of options, and was by far the best breakfast we experienced on our two-week trip. We were given welcome and departure drinks and pastries from the hotel staff. In addition to that, upon our departure we were given a small tutorial/tasting from the hotel's manager Nuno. We were very sad to leave and will definitely be back upon our next Lisbon trip.

Yelp
Fantastic hotel and staff. Booked last minute after an Airbnb disaster and they were our saviors. Great location, clean, modern decor and as others have stated, the breakfast is unbelievably good! Stay here, you won't regret it!

Yelp
This is a review of the Lisboa Carmo hotel and the Lisboa Pessoa hotel. Staff are great. But, and this is the big but, the rooms are completely lacking charm . 100 percent charm free. The pesoa toilet has no light in the stall, and the staff could not come up with a metal doohickey to place one of our suitcases. Subsequently we ( one of us had to grovel through our suitcases on the floor). The Carmo hotel creepy wallpaper and the shower valves were so intuitive that using them was stressful. Granted i have only been taking showers for 60 years , so maybe I'm a novice. Whoever was the designer , he , and it probably was a he, should be locked in either of these hotel rooms for a week with wife and kids and see how horrible they are. And my friends they are not cheep. Really, no light in the toilet room just ambient light filtering in from the semi transparent glass. Horrible design . Horrible horrible horrible.
