Lismore Gateway Motel

I recently stayed at the Lismore Gateway Motel, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The motel is modern, spotlessly clean, and feels very new, which instantly made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms are well-designed with a fresh, contemporary feel, and everything is maintained to a high standard. What truly sets this place apart are the amazing managers. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made the experience even more memorable. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The location is convenient, making it an ideal spot whether you’re visiting for business or leisure. If you’re looking for a clean, stylish, and welcoming place to stay in Lismore, I highly recommend the Lismore Gateway Motel.

Aah, what can we say? This must've been the most welcome we've ever felt at a Motel in Australia. Honestly, everything was brand new and even the Christmas decorations were tastefully done. We were treated exceptionally well by the Managers and even met the Cleaners. Parking is below the rooms - entry to the rooms via a lift. We were informed by Jim that the Gym should also be operational in 2025, which will ensure an even more wholesome experience. The room was immaculate and the pool a real oasis in the heat. The kitchen had literally everything, including splendid washing machines & dryers. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Well done Jim & Cherie - we'll be back.

The Lismore Gateway motel has had to renovate following the devastating floods of 2022 and have only just re-opened. The renovations are to a first class standard and we found the rooms to be perfect and very comfortable. They are continuing with the improvements but, in the meantime, they are providing a communal area where guests can cook meals and use excellent free laundry facilities. The swimming pool looked clean and inviting but we didn't use it. The staff and manager couldn't have done any more to make our stay more memorable. They all worked hard and we wish them the success they deserve for the future. There are only a couple of eating places in the immediate vacinity but we walked the 10 minutes into the town centre easily and there were plenty of choices there.

My husband and I spent a few days at this motel. The two Managers were "A+" grade, fantastic! The service was the best we have experienced in Australia. They are very professional, friendly and the Customer Service is exceptional. The grounds are well maintained and the room was picture perfect, clean and had a view overlooking the pool area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a quality breakaway.

Absolutely lovely stay that exceeded expectations. Felt like I was staying in a brand new room! They have done so well with the renovations. Very comfy bed and linen, and lovely bathroom and shower. Would recommend staying here if you’re stopping in Lismore

The positive experience starts with the warm welcome from the charming couple who run the hotel.|The rooms are absolutely spotless, the self-catering facilities are perfect as indeed is the opportunity to wash ones clothes. The rooms are excellently equipped - wifi, television are all exceptional. The bathroom is also perfect and well appointed.|The swimming pool is small but very pleasant with loungers and extra towels available at the reception.|The motel has been completely renovated since the floods in 2022 and the work is amazing.|The town is interesting and re-establishing itself and within easy driving distance are some of the areas of astounding natural beauty and a number of charming towns (Bangalow, for example).||I hope to return, for the hotel, for the warm welcome and to admire the spirit of the townspeople rebuilding their lives.||Our stay was an experience we will not forget!

Calling this place a motel is hard as it’s more like a modern resort. Beautifully appointed. Rooms are better than what you’d get in any 4 star city hotel in a major chain. Feels like you’re on holiday great pool and wonderful staff. The only place I’d consider staying at in Lismore.

I recently stayed here while away with work. I was told that the hotel had only reopened 3 weeks ago after being heavily damaged by the floods. They have renovated the entire property to a high standard. My room was very modern, comfortable and clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept on. The reception staff were also incredibly friendly and provided me with a nice list of nearby restaurants, takeaways and cafes. I would absolutely stay here again.
