Really friendly, very helpful staff. I spent maybe half an hour in here picking out over 100 sticks of incense. There is a bit of a language barrier for an English, non-Japanese speaker but the staff were very accommodating of me and answered all my questions to the best of their ability. As for the product itself; exceptional, very high quality scents and presented beautifully.
I really enjoyed the fruity stuff, there is definitely something for everyone here with hundreds to sample from. Prices start from around 32 yen per stick, mid level is around 50-70, super premium is between 100-1400(all-ish, I do have the catalog in my bag). Ask to sample the 1400yen agar wood stick, very complex aroma.
I found the buying experience to be extremely enjoyable; picking up each vial of incense individually and giving them a sniff, pulling a few sticks out and adding them to your order. Expect to see each stick last around 15 minutes, very reasonable for the size. They have beautiful holders too which would be perfect for a mini incense travel kit.
The shop is really well lit and has some interesting light decorations, this is in stark contrast to their Kyoto location which has a very dark and moody ambience.
