This place was built when comfort was a priority not squeezing in as many guests as possible. The rooms are really spacious and clean with nice views into the pool area. The staff are incredible. They bent over backwards to help the customer in front of me who needed to change rooms due to an issue with stairs. The resteraunt has a great menu and the pizzas are amazing. Best of all the beer on tap is cold. Will stay here again for sure.

We stayed 2 nights in a standard room (#16) on the ground floor. Parking in front of the door. Check in was quick and fun by Chantal working there and also from the Netherlands. The room is basic. Good beds, clean, TV and airco.|Big bath room with shower. The rooms lack atmosphere (TL lights = no go) and look dated but you are outside, at the lovely pool or touring Litchfield. The food at Lil Ripper was great. All meals did not disappoint and tasteful and good size portions. Overall a very pleasant stay, no noise and relaxed. If the whole place gets a little more TLC it would fantastic. Do recommend and the staff are great and helpful!

We had a very comfortable room on the ground floor with an outlook over the pool and garden. Parking was right next to the room. The room and facilities were very clean. Bistro meals were excellent and the atmosphere in the bar and bistro was friendly and relaxed. We would definitely stay and eat there again.

We are a family of 4, we stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The rooms was comfortable, clean and bathroom has been updated. The food at the restaurant was really good. Also they offer free wifi. The reason I gave it an overall 4 stars and not 5 is that whilst I have no complaints from the service etc there is no bbq or in room facilities to cook your own food, nor was there a toaster.

The high end rooms are really lovely. Very well fitted out and comfortable. Very much enjoyed that side of the visit. Although expensive…but that’s just NT standard. They give you free wifi coupons but the speeds are basically 0… The prices in the shop are very steep. Understand they’re fairly remote, but $40 for a 6 pack and pack of chips left me limping back to my room. And the old bloke that takes orders for breakfast shouldn’t have a customer service role here. Very rude and blunt to everyone he served. He asked how I’d like my eggs offering poached, fried and scrambled. I asked for scrambled. He didn’t inform me it was a $3 extra charge for that. When I asked why I was paying more he barked back at me “You want scrambled. It costs more for cream” Must be bloody good cream if a splash costs $3. Or maybe it’s the extra wear and tear on the chefs wrist I’m paying for? Steak for dinner was great though. Overall a good stay, just expect to pay a lot and deal with a grouchy old man.

Stopped for lunch, some staff indifferent and unhelpful. Found the cook unwilling to assist, when we asked about fuel to another staff member, told as if we are fools, “lift off the pump!”, yer why do you think we are asking about the fuel, cos we have had the pump in the car and were waiting! Had the Caesar salad, good size and tasty. Also got chips, they taste like the frozen type out of the bag, not that great. Options limited so if need an urgent stop, an option, otherwise plan ahead and stop earlier.
