Litchfield Outback Resort

We stayed here for one night on our recent travels around Australia that included a drive to visit Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. This resort was easy to find and we could not fault the warm welcome from the receptionist, when we checked-in. She informed us of the local places of interest to visit. We could park our car just feet away from the door to our ground floor room. On entering our room the light switch, that is usually found just inside, was placed some five feet along the wall near to the bathroom door. The room was clean and apart from the leaking fridge and solid jug of frozen water inside, was comfortable but a shower cap or hair dryer would have been useful, as there was a pool and fixed shower. There was a good sized pool a couple of minutes walk away, that was refreshing after a day of driving and walking. So far, so good, then things deteriorated. After our swim, we thought being a Monday evening, that we would have a meal. The bistro and the terrace outside had mainly diners who were already eating. We went into the bistro, joined a short queue and placed an order for a pizza and waited, ...waited ... and waited... While doing so we witnessed other diners experiencing issues with their food orders. After waiting for almost an hour, and by now hungry, we approached bistro staff and enquired how much longer we would have to wait. We were told that its preparation had not yet started and they could not give us a time. Therefore as by now we were very hungry, and had lost all trust that our pizza would arrive, we obtained a refund and had to rely on some snacks that we had with us. We left being very disappointed and could not recommend this as a venue to eat at.

We stopped here by chance for lunch after a busy sightseeing morning and we were blown away. Great food, great staff, lovely Irish Owner. So much so we booked a room for the night. Comfy bed and the rest we needed.

The room was great...nice and clean and spacious for the 3 of us. The food amazing the barra was really good x2 of us and lamb shank fall off the bone perfectly. Great staff and very accommodating... highly recommended 👌

This resort was easy to find in Batchelor . We received a warm welcome from the receptionist, when we checked-in. She was very helpful informed us of the local places of interest to visit.|Parking for our car just feet away from the door to our ground floor room.|The room was well appointed, clean and the bed comfortable, we were close to the pool and even though there were a few leave in the pool it was clear and the water was at a lovely temperature.

This place was built when comfort was a priority not squeezing in as many guests as possible. The rooms are really spacious and clean with nice views into the pool area. The staff are incredible. They bent over backwards to help the customer in front of me who needed to change rooms due to an issue with stairs. The resteraunt has a great menu and the pizzas are amazing. Best of all the beer on tap is cold. Will stay here again for sure.

While some of the rooms have been freshly renovated and are nice to look at.. they’re not worth the $300 price tag. Let’s start with the 1 ply toilet paper, because who doesn’t want to spend $300 to wipe themselves with sandpaper.. then we could move on to the motion activated aircon, that turns off through out the night. Moving on.. Imagine sinking beers at the bar on a Saturday night and listening to the news and horse racing replays both of which had the volume up. Why would anyone want music playing in a pub when you could listen to that. Just drive the hour back to Darwin and spend the night there.

Were looking for a relaxing time during the long weekend. This place was exactly that. We were really pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms and amenities. The food options were limited but whatever we ordered tasted amazing, so no complain. The pool was clean. Though it was quite clear that the staff are new and the manager was training them, but all of them had really friendly attitude and were really helpful and were genuinely trying to ensure that guests have a pleasant experience. Overall, we were really happy and surely will go back.

We stayed 2 nights in a standard room (#16) on the ground floor. Parking in front of the door. Check in was quick and fun by Chantal working there and also from the Netherlands. The room is basic. Good beds, clean, TV and airco.|Big bath room with shower. The rooms lack atmosphere (TL lights = no go) and look dated but you are outside, at the lovely pool or touring Litchfield. The food at Lil Ripper was great. All meals did not disappoint and tasteful and good size portions. Overall a very pleasant stay, no noise and relaxed. If the whole place gets a little more TLC it would fantastic. Do recommend and the staff are great and helpful!
