Cozy, cute, historic cafe. The hot chocolate and ham cheese sandwiches were delicious. Service was warm. Views were great. Guests can use their restrooms for other visitors it’s 200 kr. They also had some wooly souvenirs with fair prices. Highly recommend if you’re driving along Route 61.

Lovely café on the Westfjords road. We stopped here because we saw several cars parked up front. Turns out it was a café with a vegan option! The warm blueberry cake with vegan cream was a dream. I highly recommend you stop here as well and give it a try. Owners are wonderful, the ambience is cute.

Very cozy cafe with delicious waffels, jam and whipped cream. Brewed coffee was one of the best served in tiny cups. The house/cafe is partially museum - atmosfere from past times. They even provided the gluten-free waffels for my son celiak. I can highly recommended.

Amazingly well preserved wooden house now turned into coffee. Do not pass by without visiting/stopping by. Such a glimpse back to the past and so cozy

This is a historic farmhouse turned coffeehouse and heritage stop along Route 61 around 53km southeast of Isafjordur and around 1 km past the Seal Lookout that makes for a nice driving break in this area of the Westfjords. Litlibær seems to be open from 10am to 5pm daily (June 2025). There is parking alongside the road. The interior includes two small rooms decorated with old furniture. There is an upstairs area as well that serves as a makeshift gallery of additional antiques and artefacts from the past. The menu is very simple at Litlibær. They have a few different dessert options and a couple of savoury sandwich likes items to go along with coffee & tea. Service is very friendly and prices fine for what is served. We really liked our brief stop at Litlibær. It is great that they have found ways to preserve historic properties like this and repurpose them into roadside cafes which are very much needed to help breakup long drives in places like the Westfjords. Would gladly stop by for another visit next time around.

A memorable lunch spot while visiting the Westfjords. The grilled sandwiches were lovely, and the cakes/pastries were absolutely superb. Don’t miss this little gem!

Lovely historical place with cozy atmosphere of old times. Definitely worth a visit and walk around the house. But the menu was disappointing - I got toast which was literally 2 thin slices of white toast baked together with nothing on a side (piece of cherry tomato or salad maybe?), and waffles on the picture looked also very thin and small. If you have menu so simple then I would suggest to put something extra on a side of these dishes to be worth of its price but also to feed people a little bit. There are other cozy vintage cafes around Iceland who offer a little bit more and think harder about the menu.
