Google
Such a nice little book store, the selection of books is fantastic and I am sure you will find something that you like, a great mix of local and international books. The store is not large and not really a sit and read kind of place, it is just a great little book store.

Unfortunately cannot post photos due to in-store policy. But believe me, this is one of the most beautiful independent book store I've ever seen. I envy my hometown didn't have this. They have a surprisingly diverse collection of books too, so don't fret if you're a young or newbie reader, there's always a book for you.

A lovely visit on a quiet Friday evening. Greeted by smiley staff upon entering and they were quick to offer assistance. Was comfortable to stroll around the store and look at their collections. I was intending to get fiction books but quickly realized some of the series are not complete and it’s often the 1st Book in the series. So I ended up getting a Travel book but was pleasantly surprised by the content, a very entertaining book about Amsterdam by Ben Coates :)

This bookstore is located in Duxton, close to Six Senses Duxton. It is located not in the main street, but their sign is can be seen from 250m from the store. Lovely ambience for kind of book store. Even you don’t like books like me, you will be happy here. The girl staff is very helpful and kind, she will be hapoy to assist you in finding your favorite books. The price is so so, not to expensive and not too cheap. The interior of the bookstore is also cutie haha LOL. They accept cash, debit and credit card. There are various genre of books you can find here. In the first floor most of them are fiction and the best seller thing. Go find another genres in the second floor. You can go here by bus. The closest bus station is not to far, around 2 minutes walking.

Nice and conducive environment. The books are neatly placed and love the decors of the shop. Make me want to read. There is a public parking space right across. Convenient.

Yelp
Apparently there are rumours of this bookstore as a money laundering operation. Which explains why it is so awesome and some of the books there are so cheap. No really. If all money laundering operations open up bookstores, it won't be so bad. I revisited this place after a long while, and they have kept up with their books and I noticed that they've installed a "Crime" corner on the second floor which is absolutely cute! Staff's friendly and I really like their book selection and the whole ambiance that everyone is raving about. I feel like throwing my kindle away now.

Yelp
This is, to-date, my favourite book store in Singapore. Littered With Books is a two-storey quaint and cosy little bookstore located in one of the shophouses along duxton road. Entering the stall felt like entering a different world where everything is at peace with itself. Well-laid out and carrying a wide-range of fiction/non-fiction/craft books/cook books/travel books etc, I spent almost an hour browsing. I would not have left if I did not need to meet up with a friend later in the evening. There are a couple of couches in the shop that made me want to plant my butt there and start reading The service staff were extremely helpful, taking the effort to recommend me books based on what I was interested in. The books are also reasonably priced and hence is a MUST GO for book lovers!

Yelp
Super charming bookstore. It's not literally littered.. with books, but it may as well be. It has that vibe about it. Small but very well-curated range of fiction, cookbooks, children's books, with occasional literary events from time to time. I like it for its very good selection of South Asian fiction. If you love bookstores, you'd happily spend hours here. It helps that it's such a charming little shophouse. Best of all, the prices are good compared to other bookstores in Singapore.

Yelp
Littered with Books is a much-needed addition to the independent bookstore scene in Singapore. This two-storey bookshop boasts a small but solid collection of contemporary fiction, some classics, has a decent science fiction section (they have Iain M Banks... that is pretty much my benchmark!), non-fiction options and children's books. This is my favourite of the independent bookstores Singapore has on offer (apart from GOHD Books which is mainly online and has limited its opening hours). I enjoy their little recommendations notes and the unpretentious feel of the store. My favourite sections are the Classics and Literary sections (books about writers and writing) located near the counter. I love spending my weekends browsing the shelves and picking up a title before heading to one of the cafés along Duxton Road or Ann Siang Hill.

Yelp
Just to comment on what others who've talked about this bookstore have not mentioned - this bookstore has a really good collection of children's books! Was looking for quirky pop-up books for kids as a present and this was the first bookstore with successful finds! My friend also had a good experience here involving a title that wasn't in store when she came. They ordered it for her and called her promptly when the book arrived. The price was also relatively lower than many other bookstores in town. I personally love the blue decor - so warm and inviting, it's hard to leave! There's a corner upstairs with a couch near the travel section, if it wasn't taken up by someone so engrossed in his book, I would've hogged it the whole day! This is the perfect bookstore to get lost in (browsing) after a nice coffee break from The Pigeonhole just down the same street... Final verdict: Yes you can judge a book by its cover on this one, one glance from the outside and you'll find yourself stepping into a cozy space that won't disappoint!

Yelp
This place does have an indie bookstore vibe - if it's a tad dirtier and messier, I could envision it being some undiscovered bookstore in Brooklyn's Williamsburg. Great selection of books - it holds a copy of my favourite book (elegance of a hedgehog) which is not all that mainstream. It is very fairly priced at $18 as well (I found a copy of it at above $20 at another independent bookstore in SG). To kill a mockingbird priced at $9.50 - pretty decent! Books are systematically arranged! Staff members were very keen on helping u source for the right books (but not overly taggy)! I don't know ... Maybe I'm too attached to my kindle and lost all interest in hard copy books. But I have visited indie bookstores in other cities ... In which I could lose myself and read through synopses after synopses of a wide variety of books. But somehow LwB failed to elicit the inner bookworm in me. Maybe it will take some time for this bookstore to develop a 'soul'. But still a worthy place to drop by after brunching or coffee at the many cool cafes nearby along Duxton.

Yelp
One of my favourite bookstores in Singapore! There are two levels in the store - the first contains general fiction while the second contains non-fiction such as biographies, travel and food related titles. The store specialises in mysteries, so a corner of the second floor is dedicated to it. A very comfortable and charming place to get lost in books. The service here is commendable - the knowledgeable staff are usually friendly and willing to help. I was once given a discount because the sales lady felt bad that the book that I was about the purchase had a minor dent along its spine. The only possible gripe I have with this place is their limited local literature selection and interaction with the local literary scene. I hope to see Littered With Books organising more literary events for local writers soon!

Yelp
Here's a little known fact about littered with books - Selected books on the second floor are for rent! With the death of rental bookstores across Singapore, to be able to find a rental bookstore these days is really tough. I hope they keep this going. Here's another little known fact - If you have been a regular of Sunny bookstore at Far East Plaza in the 90s and early 2000s, you'll recognise some familiar faces at littered with books! With the years and years of experience and the effortless service that you can find at Sunny, these walking book catalogues are always a joy to chat with on your latest titles or recommendations for a new author to try.

Yelp
As someone who likes to read and can easily go through a book in a few days, moving to Singapore crushed my reading life. Books here are ridiculously expensive so I'm not exactly flying through books. And to order them from the US and get them shipped is crazy. I stumbled across this little books walking around Duxton and it's cute. They have a good selection of biography, crime, romance, and Singapore lit. They also have a nice little upstairs with travel, teen, ect. A good selection, but the prices are just criminal. $20-$30 is insane for a book.

Yelp
I love, love this place. While it is not the biggest bookstore around, the service is the best compared to what I've experienced so far. I was initially devastated when Borders closed down, because I really loved how knowledgeable their staff were (and even if they werent, they were so willing to help). Littered with Books is like Borders reincarnated, but even cooler. Dont be put off by the fact that the storefront is quite nondescript, and that it is located in a the rather reinvented/atas/yuppy/hipster Duxton area. I assure you, it is nothing like that. They have quite a good selection of books- most of the popular titles and authors. But what especially impressed me was when they didnt have a book that I wanted, they offered to order it specially for me and import it (from Australia I think, or god knows where). At first I was hesitant, but they assured me that even then it was a no-obligation service and that I wouldnt have to pay extra for that. After a few weeks when I completely forgot about having made that order.. I received a call from them telling me my book was there, and it only cost $15 after all that trouble they went through. Of course I bought it. Did I mention that the staff are super friendly as well? Plus they give you bookmarks for each book you purchase. I wish they had an actual cat in the store though. Maybe they had but I did not see it. In any case that would have made the store 5-stars.

Yelp
It's my favourite bookstore in Singapore. It has a pretty awesome range of books (from cook books, to chick lit, to 'serious' stuff, to the classics), and the staff is very knowledgeable about their reads. Upon entering the shop, you're always greeted by someone who asks you if this is your first time in the shop, and whether you need help. You can ask them to recommend books and they'll try to tailor their recommendations based on who your favourite authors are. Hard pressed to get more personalized service in a bookshop (:

Yelp
Great little book store with a lot of personality. I will certainly go here to order and buy books. Great service and passionate people. Happy I found them as another option to the big commercial bookstores.

Yelp
So adorable inside with a great indie vibe. The staff is helpful and knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit!
