Had fabulous dinner experience with Daniel, our main man! What an asset to Little Aosta. Warm welcome, great wine recommendations! Both chefs were great to interact with. They were so kind and interested with a family with young children… explaining how the pizza oven worked etc. High recommended 😇

💋An exquisite experience of Italian cuisine, characterized by its rich and authentic flavors. The presentation of each dish was nothing short of impeccable, reflecting a meticulous attention to detail. The staff were exceptionally knowledgeable, providing thorough explanations of each course in a manner that was both informative and engaging. Service was rendered with utmost professionalism, ensuring our table was attended to flawlessly throughout the evening. Affordable and great food. Although not quite as good as the main Aosta restaurant, this place provides much better bang for buck. The garlic bread was sublime. I would go back just for that.

Worst experience I've had at a restaurant in my two years in New Zealand. It started off ok, we ordered two drinks and the arancini to start. For the main, I was debating between the mushroom pizza and purple cauliflower & truffle pizza. The waitress suggested the purple cauliflower one to try something new, so we went with that. However, after 45 mins waiting and watching the other customers who arrived after us get their food, we knew they'd forgotten our order. When we asked the waitress about it, and she said that because we ordered a starter, the kitchen was waiting to make our pizza - basically putting the blame on us and lying since the other customers ordered starters as well. She promised the order would come out in 8 minutes, which it did. But the pasta was undercooked and the purple cauliflower pizza had white cauliflower with raw kale (which was not on the menu) thrown on top. Apparently the waitress didn't know they were out of purple cauliflower, which is the main ingredient of the pizza. They recooked the pasta and gave us a complimentary mushroom pizza (that was good), which we appreciated. The manager also offered to book us into Aosta with vip treatment as an apology, but when we called to confirm with Aosta a week before, they had no booking for us in the system. I would not recommend coming here as they are apparently too understaffed to take care of their customers and make promises they cannot keep.

I am not sure what happened to the 1 star reviews, but my partner and I went there last Saturday and it was fantastic. The Staff were professional yet down to earth. The pizza's were absolutely amazing and the crust 👌. The place looks awesome and i would highly recommend it for a beautiful fire cooked pizza. Thanks, team! Love your work.

Pretty average all round, and a hint of arrogance from the staff or possibly just disdain doesn’t help. The atmosphere and location are great but the food is very ordinary, bland pasta, uneventful pizzas served slowly and haphazardly. Tiny glasses of wine for $18 didn’t help. Disappoints all round for a venue with such potential sharing a name with its larger sister restaurant Aosta which is very very good, if you can get a booking.

My sister told me about this place - she said it was the best meal they had in their trip to NZ so we had high expectations! They didn’t disappoint. The food was incredible, everything we ordered was perfect. I lost my mind over the marscapone dip with truffle oil. Pizza was beautiful & the best dessert I’ve had in a long time. Great service and relaxed atmosphere. A must visit!

We came here after an 8km hike at the nearby Sawpit Gully trail as it was just a short walk away. My friend who lives in QT highly recommended Little Aosta. Aosta, its main (sister) restaurant is located just beside and serves fancier food. We got the salad, arancini, carbonara and aglio olio and had one drink each. We licked our plates clean as EVERY DISH was really delicious! To top it off, we received really warm service, the warmest service we received in our 2 weeks vacation in South Island. Price wise, very affordable considering everything. Paid about 50NZD each. I’d probably be paying more if this was in Singapore. If you can’t find parking on the same street, there’s plenty of free parking on the next street that’s just a min walk away. If that’s also full, the trail head nearby has plenty of parking space.
