We had a wonderful experience here the food was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The service was warm making us feel welcome. To top it off, the views were absolutely stunning, adding the perfect backdrop to a great meal. Definitely worth a visit

Came for dinner here on a quiet winter midweek evening and could not have had a better experience! Engaging friendly waiter, truly incredible high quality food (the best seafood pasta we have ever had) and great views over the bay. Generous portions and well priced for such beautiful food and staff. Thank you !

My partner and I shared an anniversary dinner here tonight and everything was fantastic, service was lovely and the food was amazing. We had beautiful seating overlooking the water sunset as well! We shared the 3 course set menu and thoroughly enjoyed the lamb rib, ravioli, pork belly, market fish (Murray cod), panna cotta, and the Black Forest semifreddo, everything was quick, hot, and delicious. They were also very easily able to accommodate my dairy allergy which is always immensely appreciated!! We will be sure to be back next time we are in the Nelson Bay area!

Another beautiful evening at LBBH. Brought my sister and mother in law for the first time. My sister said it was the best meal she’s ever had! I always find it hard to choose which of my favourites to order, the food and service here is always fantastic! Thanks for another great experience.

Really beautiful views and superb service. Most of the food was also strong, although I didn't particularly rate the sea food pasta. The actual dining room also feels a touch dated - but with the views and service you would be fussy to pay too much attention to that

A Little gem find! - Little Beach Boathouse offers a warm, homely ambience with fun and friendly service. The food is unpretentious, wholesome and absolutely satisfying. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We were downstairs. Stunning scenery, literally sitting overlooking some of the most beautiful views, with lapping water and water birds gracefully drying wings. The food was top quality, with interesting augmented flavours, and the service was warm, thoughtful, efficient, and kind. Thank you. There was good parking for our electric bicycles. :)

Loved the position, view, service and excellent food but was hard to leisurely enjoy a 3 course Anniversary dinner knowing we had to leave in time for 2nd sitting.

I read the reviews for this place, and I'm a little confused about the suggestions but it's not ideal for those with children. In actual fact it's far from it. The service is excellent with great conversation prompt delivery of orders and a positive attitude towards the customer. The food is best described as simply amazing

First day in town & hosts said this was the place to eat. We weren't disappointed! Beautiful setting on the water to watch the sunset & listen to the gentle waves. Food, drinks & service were all excellent... and great value!

This restaurant is amazing. The location is just amazing with it being situated right on the beach meaning you get a great water view. The bar downstairs offers a great variety of food as well as drinks. The restaurant upstairs is divine. The service is great and they even give you a little bowl of popcorn. The food upstairs is amazing. The squid ink pasta is to die for as well as the three pigs (pork belly, chorizo and prosciutto). Although it is expensive so be prepared to spend a chunk of cash.

As Lauren discovered in 2015, this place was--and is still--fabulous. My partner and I came for drinks and tapas on a Saturday night (there is now a pub-type space downstairs, which is where we went), and were thrilled with the beautiful setting, great service and tasty local brews. Things were quite busy, but we were able to find a table, order and see our fries and squid arrive promptly. While I don't go in much for calamari, my partner was very happy with it, and since it's easy to go wrong with seafood, that's high praise! I would happily go back and would love to enjoy the views during the day!

Lex and I went up the coast this weekend with my parents. It was a lovely weekend and we were lucky that the sun came out for us on Sunday so we could have a swim at the beach. For my overseas and inter-state readers, Port Stephens really is a beautiful part of NSW and it's far enough from our home to feel like a holiday but close enough to still feel relaxing and not be a mission to get to. My parents have a holiday apartment up there so it's also home to a lot of fond memories and sunny summer days. Amazing service and food was to die for! Serving sizes were quite big and the cocktails were great too! Would definitely recommend

We came up from Newcastle to take a very good friend for lunch on Saturday and the staff were friendly and the food was nice but both my boys asked me to stop at McDonalds on the way home because they were both still hungry and after paying $126 for food only I was really disappointed. I won't be back. I think both the prices and sizes of the meals is aimed at the tourist market.
