Little Cubs Field

This is an Amazing little place to visit if your a baseball fan! As you can see, the field itself is a Replica of the Famed Wrigley Field in Chicago... Home of the good ol Cubbies!! Always nice to walk through and check it out. The only reason I give it 4stars...Is Because I believe we should have done it properly and raised enough funds, to make it big enough to host baseball tournaments for the youth organizations on this field...Now that would be an Amazing memory for the kids and visiting families!

As a lifelong White Sox fan, I have to admit this Little Cubs Field was very cool. A quick stop on our travels, but impressive none the less!

Coolest place to see. Exact replica of Wrigley Field complete with scoreboard, dug outs, bleacher for bleacher bums, and ivy on the brick. Cute little shop with memorabilia and gifts. You can even pretend play with a whiffle ball and bat! Neat place to stop for half an hour or so.

Little Cubs Field was pretty accurate in comparison to the actual wrigley field. This place is definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. You can walk all around the field, as every spot is accessible. You can catch a wiffleball game if you visit on certain days too.

This was so neat. We considered driving by and not stopping but the field was so cool for my kiddos to see. So much history and even more beautiful to see someone with a dream brought to life even if it didn’t make sense. Worth the stop great town and great experience for any Cubs fan or aspiring dreamer!

Such a cute place to stop and walk around. They really hit every detail. Take you time looking around and notice all the thought that was put in.

Fantastic t-ball field. My husband wondered how many teens had snuck in to blast a hit over the wall and onto "Waveland Ave" Totally worth a brief detour on our way to Galena.

Why on earth doesn't this get better reviews. It is the cutest spot ever! A small Wrigley field that even has the right street signs, across the street 'rooftops', and even bleachers and bricks from the real Wrigley Field?! How much better can you get. We visited on a whim when we saw the sign. It was a cold day and we weren't out of the car for long, but long enough to appreciate the hard work that went into building this. I think it's adorable that kids can play here and you can even host really reasonably priced parties! Not necessarily a destination if you're not in the area, but definitely a worthwhile stop off. Also, I saw the signs directing us there - not sure why others thought it was unclear...though you go for a while on residential streets which may seem like you're headed in the wrong direction...so I can see some confusion. So, go visit and be a kid for a few min while checking it out, taking a photo on the pitchers mound, etc. Also - it's free! fun!

The name says it all. I read it on a sign while cruising the expressway back to Chicago. Since I like to explore, we went looking around for it. The directions off the signs aren't clear. Got there and that was that. Shot some photos, pitched a few balls from the pitcher's mound, took the bases and we were done in about ten minutes or less. The site has a convenience store which might be open during games? Why was it erected? For the love of baseball. If you are a baseball fan fanatic, it might be something to see. For everyone else, there isn't anything touristy around the area, its smack dab in the middle of a neighborhood.

Top notch. Look, if you came here expecting something supernatural..well, remember that this is a replica baseball field meant to amuse. I first brought my kiddo here four years ago. He was only 5 then and really loved it. Unfortunately, we didn't have our gloves, a baseball or a bat because it was an unexpected stop. Well, ditto again yesterday..save the gear I had in my trunk. This time around my son and I were able to play catch, he pitched from the mound, and ran the bases and outfield. It was a little bit wet due to recent rain, but mud washes out. The details that they've mimicked from Wrigley are pretty spot on. At least the important ones are. Alike our first visit, we enjoyed our time here. Thanks to the folks who maintain this little gem for the Cubs and baseball fans of the world! Cheers!

Well my wife and I were coming back from a road trip in Iowa and I wanted to come here after seeing this on the road a few years back. As Cub fans, I give much respect to this place. I have no idea why they decided to build this in a middle of a small farm town, but hey, it brings in visitors. We got there and it was funny seeing other tourists there. We took many pics and if you ever come back on a road trip and have time from Iowa then please visit this place. It's worth the stop. They do try to make it a replica of Wrigley Field, but a ton smaller. Literally, there is no outfield. There is a shop there, but it was closed on this Sunday we were there. Take some pics of you can. Hey....they even have a bullpen phone. That was a little comical. It's easy to get too. Just search in google maps.

Little Cubs Field looks really cool, it is really great to watch kids playing on the field(t-ball only) and it is a cool place to have parties or other events. My husband and I actually got married there. It was a blast, it created an awesome back drop for our outdoor wedding, there is plenty of seating for guests with the bleachers and then after the ceremony we had a home-run-derby which everyone loved! As far as a touristy spot it's pretty average, like the world's largest ball of string or something. The gift shop is only open on weekends and only in the warmer months. So the best thing about Little Cubs Field? Using it for a party or event, it's a unique choice and pricing is reasonable for renting it.

The little cubs field was a great time to play in, but I personally thought it was too small for 8u to play in maybe for 5-6 year old may be OK. The fields were not retouched after the games either. Main issue the use of the bounce ball when playing in tournaments it's a bit unnecessary. I believe these kids can use regular league balls. The fields are not smooth enough to use these bounce balls that bounce over the kids when the balls should be grounders. We are paying for our kids to play these tournaments,they should at least play with an actual ball that allows them to have the feeling of how it really is played.

If your looking for the replica of Wrigley this is it, but let me tell you , it was not maintained as it should be . After the games were done, there were no groundskeepers to smooth out the field or fix it after the games. The kids were just thrown into the next game without the fields being prepped. The fields had sand holes , lines were messed up etc.. Not to mention that I personally do not like these tournament games played with bouncy balls. In what league do kids play little league with soft bouncy balls???? Not where my kids play. These balls should not be allowed in tournaments. This does not teach the kids a thing. .They are in for a rude awaking using these type of balls. For the amount of money that us parents pay to have the kids play at a place like this , it was not worth it . I personally would not want to come to this center and have my kids play again.
