DO NOT WALK BUT RUN AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE!!!! If I could give 0 stars I would.
This is the most unprofessional dental practice I have ever been to.
First to start I was scheduled for a cleaning and an exam by the dentist, never got a name, as this was going to be my first time there. They called 2 days before and confirmed the appointment. They then called back the day before and said we have to cancel as the hygienist is going to be out, mind you I have waited for over a month for this appointment. I said no let's just reschedule the cleaning and keep the exam, so we did that. I then proceed to get 3 more calls that same day, it appears that none of the girls at the front desk look at the schedule or speak to each other in that office.
I go in the day of my appointment fill out all the paperwork and am now waiting for over 45 minutes, before I finally get called in. I ask the girl is this normal as you make the patient sign forms saying they will be billed if they are late but you can make me wait 45 minutes. She proceeds to tell me, oh you had to wait because of your cleaning that you are getting today. WHAT!!! I am not getting a cleaning today just and exam. The great front staff changed my appointment, never checked with me or told me and had me waiting for over 45 minutes for absolutely no reason. I was pissed, I had her check and the other cleaning was still in the system, so she left it in there for now. So after the x-rays the fun really began.
The worst and most unprofessional dentist I have ever experienced came in. First he never introduced himself, he just looked a the x-rays, looked in my mouth, was like you need this, this and this done, and need this tooth that you came in about needs to be pulled set up an appointment with the oral surgeon, Okay bye. I was like WHAT!!! I didn't even get a chance to ask any questions about what he was saying needed to be done or why the tooth should be pulled or anything. He was maybe in with me for about a total of 3-4 minutes. It was ridiculous. But he made sure to bill the insurance company for a full exam which I have filed a complaint with them about.
Then the rude girl at the front desk just finished it off for me. I go to leave and am patiently waiting for her to get off the phone and 2 other patients come after me. She is trying to take the last patient before me. At this point I'm like I was here first and I need to leave.
And the icing on the cake is, I just received a bill saying that I owe them money after the insurance paid them in full for the horrific service. I called them and the girl I spoke with is like you owe like and the insurance didn't pay in full so you have to take it up with the insurance company. I guess they figure people will just pay it. But HELL NO! I am not giving them a dime. So I called back the insurance company, as I had already spoke to them, and got the id# of my recorded phone call stating that I owe nothing to LFFD. So what do you know when I call LFFD back and told them you can call the insurance company and reference my call with them, as it is paid in full. All of a sudden the girl changes her tune and says I don't owe them anything, really and you weren't even going to call me back? So watch out they are misbilling patients and hoping no one is checking with their insurance company, and that people will just pay the bill.
